Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the rate of contribution in utilization of solar heat, by forming a hot-water supply port at the top of a hot-water storing tank with an auxiliary heat source and at an intermediate portion between the lower surface of the auxiliary heat source and a heat exchanger, and connecting the two hot-water supply ports to a three- way valve which is connected to places where hot water is used. CONSTITUTION:Water in a hot-water tank 3 is circulated between the tank 3 and a solar heat collector 1 for absorbing solar heat by driving a circulating pump 7 in response to the difference of temperature detected by a temperature detector 5 of the solar heat collector 1 and that detected by a temperature detector 6 in the hot-water tank 3. Further, water above an auxiliary heater 8 is kept at a set temperature by a controller 10 through detection of the temperature above the auxiliary heater 8 by a detector 9. Resultantly, the inner space of the tank 3 is divided into an upper section where the temperature of water is high and a lower section where the temperature of water is medium, and high-temperature water and medium-temperature water are supplied selectively from an upper hot-water supply port 12 or a lower port 13 by shifting the position of a three-way valve 14 depending on the required temperature of water. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to increase the rate of contribution in utilization of solar heat.
