Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of an indication value on an electromagnetic flow meter, by measuring a level, from which a component corresponding to fluctuations of an electrochemical valtage is removed, using a switch circuit and an AC amplifier of a comparatively high low-range cut-off frequency.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrodes 2, 2 are connected with a voltage level measuring circuit 7 through a switch circuit 5 and an AC amplifier 6. The AC amplifier 6 has on its input side coupling capacitors 6a, 6a of a low capacity, and the cut-off frequency of the amplifier 6 has a selected level which permits removing a component corresponding to fluctuations of an electrochemical voltage. A timing control circuit 8 is adapted to controll a power source 4 of a current of a rectangular wave- form, and supplies pulses to the switch circuit 5 and a voltage level measuring circuit. A component corresponding to fluctuations of an electrochemical voltage is superposed on voltages obtained from the electrodes 2, 2. However, when these voltages are applied to the AC amplifier, a signal including no such a component as mentioned above can be obtained. The level of this signal is determined by a voltage level measuring means 7 using a sampling pulse. Thus, the flow rate of a fluid can be measured accurately.
