Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out zero calibration accurately by using a zero calibration circuit provided on an output side of a high input impedance amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: A zero calibration circuit 10 is connected to a high input impedance amplifier 2. A relay actuating signal and a signal for actuating the zero calibration circuit 10 are input into signal input terminals (a), (b), respectively. At a zero point setting time, i.e. at such a time that a ground potential is opposed to a detecting electrode 1 with a relay contact 7 closed, a signal enters the terminal (a) to energize a relay and open the contact 7. An actuating pulse for the zero calibration circuit 10 is then input into the terminal (b). After this actuating pulse has been input into the terminal (b), a surface to be detected of a sample is opposed to the detecting electrode 1.
