Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent thermal stress fatigue fracture of thick-structured high-pressure and low-pressure valves and a temperature lowering means, by providing a line which further by-passes the high-pressure and low-pressure by-pass valves respectively equipped with means for controlling the amount of warming steam to be passed therethrough.
CONSTITUTION: In a turbine by-pass system, means 22, 23 for controlling the amount of warming steam to be passed through high-pressure and low-pressure by- pass valves 13, 15 are provided in respective by-pass lines. Therefore, if these high- pressure and low-pressure valves 13, 15 are fully closed, they are warmed up gradually while steam taken out from respective primary side flows gradually into the secondary side. Further, since temperature lowering means 16 is incorporated in warming pipe 24, steam passed through means 23 for controlling the amount of low- pressure warming steam can be warmed up while it is dropped into condenser 11 via warming pipe 24.
