Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent decreasing in the effective net pressure head of a feed water pump, by interrupting supply of condensate to an deaerator after disconnection of load through provision of a condensate shut-off valve, and lowering the saturation pressure of fluid at the inlet of feed water pump through provision of a deaerator by-pass line.
CONSTITUTION: At the time when the load is disconnected, pressure drop in deaerator 1 is prevented by fully closing condensate shut-off valve 9 and thereby interrupting supply of condensate to deaerator 1. Subsequently, when on-off valve 11 is opened gradually and cold water is mixed into the inlet fluid of feed water pump 5, saturation pressure of the inlet fluid is lowered so that decreasing in the effective net pressure head can be prevented. Therefore, installation height of deaeartor 1 can be reduced as compared with that of the conventional arrangements.
