Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect interface, etc. for a long period of time with high accuracy and stability, by regarding variation of interface, etc. of liquid in a reactor as variation of electrostatic capacity between a detecting terminal and a grounding terminal, and comparing an emission frequency by this variation with the base frequency.
CONSTITUTION: A detecting element 11a is surrounded by an insulation material, and a detecting terminal 11e is made to penetrate from the element 11a through the insulation material and exposed to the interface. Thus composed detecting terminal 11 is attached onto side wall of a reactor 10 and adjusted so that resonance coil of an oscillation element 13 connected to the detecting terminal 11 produce the maximum resonance at an oscillation frequency corresponding to the base liquid surface. When the liquid interface varies in this condition, the oscillation frequency varies in accordance with variation of electrostatic capacity between the detection terminal 11 and a grounding terminal. This oscillation frequency is compared with the base frequency, and the difference is taken out as a liquid level control signal from an output section 16 through a detecting section 14 and an amplifying element 15. Liquid surface can be detected with high accuracy and stability for a long period of time in this manner.
