Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent freezing of the pressure relief valve surely and effectively by combining a piston linked to a thermostat with the diaphragm system pressure relief valve.
CONSTITUTION: When fluid from the inlet 14 presses the diaphragm 2 from the lower side and pushes up the disc 3 and piston 20 against the spring 9, the valve seat 15 is opened, and the fluid is discharged to the exhaust port 17. When the pressure of fluid drops, the disc 3 descends and the valve seat is closed. On the other hand, when temperature of the thermostat chamber 18 drops, the piston is contracted, the thermostat 4 is pushed up by the spring 5, and its upper end is pressed to the lower end of the cylinder 13. When the temperature drops further and exceeds a fixed value, the thermostat pushes up the disc 3 by the spring 5 against the spring 9 to open the valve seat.
