CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing, for example, a heavy walled castings using blast furnace molten cast iron as a raw material, casting after the previous dephosphorization to a phosphorous content not higher than 0.18% in a ladle permits to decrease the precipitation of steadite (Fe3P) of low solidifying point, simultaneously preventing the floating of kish graphite from inside to upper surface. Hereby no pitting defects of the surface due to kish graphite are formed, so that later adjustment is removed.
