Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When a command for generating operation is sent forth, an exhaust valve is not opened but at a time when air is left behind in a runner chamber and an inlet valve is opened up to an opening degree at which the opening of a guide valve is permitted, the guide valve is opened, during which period the water pressure inside the casing 3 is raised by fully closing the 20DG guide vane-leak water drain valve 6 and also opening the inlet valve and thereby leak water from the guide vane is increased, so that input is directed toward an increase. However, since the runner chamber is filled with a small specific weight of a mixed fluid consisting of the air left in the runner chamber and the leak water from the guide vane and thereby the input becomes smaller, anomalous vibration encountered at the time of switching can be prevented.
