Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide device, having no mechanically movable parts, through simple circuit, by arranging, in contact with fluid, piezo-electric ceramic plate, while AC signal is applied onto the ceramic plate generating oscillation and detection is performed on its vibrating condition.
CONSTITUTION: Metal plate 22 is inserted into bottom part of case 24 and on it, piezo-electric ceramic plate 21, electrode 23 are adhered closely, and a device, led out by lead wire 25 is set in contact with liquid surface S. Lead wire 25 is connected with circuit as indicated in the figure. That is, when rectangular wave, oscillated by multi-vibrator MV, is applied and if liquid surface S lies in upper position than metal plate (as shown in the figure), piezo-ceramic plate 21 will introduce flexible vibration to liquis S and impedance becomes lower, terminal voltage of resistance R ascents and the wave is detected and transister Tr is set at ON. If liquid surface S is in lower position and metal plate 22 is exposed in air, then transister Tr works with reverse motion. Accordingly, at that time, buzzer, etc. is energized by relay R1, provided in collector, and indicates variation at level of liquid surface.
