Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a carburetor which enables the feeding of appropriate and ideal mixed gas according to actual running conditions by means of a control valve which makes the amount of bleed air variable according to the operations of the engine provided in the bleed air path.
CONSTITUTION: When a choke valve 6 is at a position of 1/4 opening, fuel is sucked up via a slow fuel path 15 and a slow jet 16 by a negative pressure generated in a slow nozzle 14. At this point, as a selector valve 19 closes a by-pass path 18 if the revolutions of the engine is low, bleed air is supplied to the fuel path 15 via a large slow air jet 21. Finally, the amount of fuel meets a curve C of the graph. Then, as the revolutions of the engine rises and reaches a point F, the selector valve operates to open the by-pass path 18. Thus, the bleed air is regulated with a small slow air jet and the fuel flowrate is changed as shown by the curve b.
