Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to warm up an engine effectively, by forming a mixture passage for communicating a part near a fuel supply nozzle to a downstream part of a throttle valve, and providing a control valve for controlling opening and closing of the mixture passage.
CONSTITUTION: A downstream side 14 of a throttle valve 10 and a part 13 near a fuel supply nozzle 4 are communicated to each other via a mixture passage 12, the opening and closing of which is controlled by a control valve 15 that is interlocked with a choke valve 7. When the choke valve 7 is closed, the control valve 15 is opened, so that openings 13 and 14 are communcated to each other. Further, when cranking vacuum is developed in the vicinity of the nozzle 4 along with starting of an engine, air is drawn through the mixture passage 12 and negative pressure is developed near the nozzle 4, so that a sufficient amount of fuel is supplied from the nozzle 4. Here, since the opening 13 is formed on the downstream side of the nozzle 4, mixture of an air-fuel ratio suited for starting can be supplied to the engine.
