Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a turning hinge mechanism applied particularly to the rear seat of an automobile such as a van or the like, which is constituted so that the angle of the seat turned to the front side is converted at least into two stages.
CONSTITUTION: A rear seat 20 of an automobile such as van, wagon or the like is arranged engageable or disengageable with or from the striker 26 of a bottom plate 21 by supporting a seat boby 23 movable at the front side by means of a front side turning hinge mechanism 22 fixed to a bottom plate 21 and by providing the locking mechanism 25 of the seat body 23 in a hinge bracket 24 fixed to the rear side of the seat 23. The above described hinge mechanism 22 is constituted by axially supporting a first bracket 35 fixed to the floor plate 21 and a second bracket 37 fixed to the lower front side of the seat 23 by means of a first pin 36, and staged holes 39, 40 - - - are formed at the second bracket 37. To an of these staged holes there is fitted a link pin 42 inserted or removed by means of an operating lever (not shown), whereby the seat body 23 can be inclined at a desired angle through a link 43.
