Abstract

PURPOSE: To collect radiated heat and to reduce the gas temperature inside a furnace by forming a water-cooling wall composed of water-cooling pipes on the inner wall of the freeboard part in the upper part of the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: On the inner wall of fire-resisting materials 5 in a fluid layer combustion furnace 1, a water cooling wall 3 composed of a group of water cooling pipes connected in the upper and the lower part with an upper and a lower header 2 and 4 is provided. The water introduced into the lower header 4 from an upper boiler drum through a water descending pipe 7 is heated by the radiated heat in the furnace, and risen to be returned to the boiler drum 6 through the upper header 2. The steam or the hot water given in the boiler drum 6 can be used according to the necessity. Meanwhile, the exhaust gas cooled and deprived of the radiated heat by the water-cooling wall 3 is discharged to the outside through an exit 8 after dust- collecting.
