Abstract

PURPOSE: To discharge constantly molten material continuously or upon occasion, by making it possible to heat surroundings of a discharging hole at the furnace bottom with high temp. gas in the furnace, and simultaneously by making it possible to feed the high temp. gas into a furnace shut off from cold air.
CONSTITUTION: In normal operation, molten material falled down to a reservoir 6 passes through a discharging hole 4 together with high temp. gas, and is cut off at the end of a nozzle 6 from the succeeding molten material, then falls down to the air through a shut-off furnace 3 and its discharging hole 8. The high temp. gas in the space 5 above the furnace bottom passes always through the discharging hole 4 and vent hole 10 so as to prevent temp. fall of the molten material passing through the discharging hole 4, hereafter it supplies heat lost from the shut-off furnace 3 and is then released to the air. The nozzle 7 prevents the molten material, which arrived at the outlet of the discharging hole 4, from flowing along the ceiling wall 3a of the shut-off furnace 3 and makes the molten mateial drop down through the center line of the discharging hole 8. Even when the discharging hole 4 is blocked, the high temp. gas having passed through the vent hole 10 melts the molten material hardened and blocked the hole 4, and recovers discharging function.
