Printing paste suitable for firing for printing on glass surface
And method for producing the paste
The present invention relates to a printing paste for firing for printing on a glass surface, the method comprising:
And one kind of glass composition (for example, glass frit) and one or more kinds of inorganic colored
The pigment and the mechanical durability of the printed layer after drying, giving the necessary fluidity for the printing operation
And a printing paste containing an organic and / or inorganic binder to make the printing paste satisfactory.
The invention also relates to a method for producing such a printing paste.
Enamel-type firing inks are often used for decorative purposes or for technical reasons.
It is applied to a glass object, for example a glass plate, and fired at a high temperature. This method is automatic
Large-scale when attaching glass to the window frame of the car body using bonding technology for the glass surface of the car
Applied to In this case, it consists of a firing ink that does not transmit visible light and UV rays.
It is common to apply a frame-shaped layer to the glass by silk-screen printing.
The applied layer is, after the drying process, bent (bombage) and / or
Fired during quenching. In the fired enamel layer, the adhesive part is loose
Can be seen from the outside through the wire and can cause the adhesive to become brittle over time.
It functions to protect the adhesive from UV rays.
Known printing pastes for forming such enamel-type layers are colored
Contains high melting point inorganics as pigments. For example, in the case of black, copper-chromium-manganese
Pinel (CuO-CrTwoOThree-MnO), if gray, the spinel and titanium dioxide
(TiOTwo), Sn, V, Fe, Zr to obtain another desired color
, Si, Co, Al, Ni and Ca. Known
The printing paste also includes a glass frit. This glass frit is finely divided like pigment
Present in the print paste in the form and during the baking operation (eg 500 to 750 to 800

You.
In known printing pastes, as colored pigments, thermally and chemically stable inorganic materials
Or, an inorganic substance is used. That is, it does not thermally decompose at the firing temperature,
Does not chemically react with other components of the
Only those substances whose other properties do not change are used. This is an appropriate
The choice of color pigments is limited and very stable minerals (usually oxides),
This means that only the flannel is used. For example, magnetite (FeThreeOFour) Is this
Until then, it could not be used as a colored pigment. Because it oxidizes at the firing temperature
Hematite (FeTwoOThree)
It is.
If the glass object to be printed is a glass wall, for example a car window glass, a known method is used.
Can be vitrified when glass is melted, with glass enamel layer
(Vitrifiable) Reprint printed glass walls by adding to the mixture
When used, problems often arise. That is, in the case of a mineral having a very high melting point,
A situation may occur in which the colored pigment remains in the molten glass as it is. Molten gas
In the case of another colored pigment distributed in the form of an oxide dissolved in the glass, for example,

Can alter the other physical properties of the glass, undesirably affecting the properties of the glass.
Can come. For this reason, a glass wall having a fired enamel layer of a known composition
Has never been used in the production of, for example, optically high quality float glass.
Impossible
Was.
It is an object of the present invention to have a wider application for printing on glass surfaces.
In particular, the possibility of using less stable colored pigments is more diverse.
The object of the present invention is to produce a printing paste for firing that can use a minute amount.
A feature of the present invention is that the pigment present in the paste that can be printed and fired is left as it is.
In its original form, a glass layer or a thermally solidified gel of a suitable vitrizable composition (
Or xerogel) layer.
Therefore, the printing paste for firing according to the present invention comprises at least one type of glass composition.
Containing one or more pigments and an organic and / or inorganic binder,
State, coated with a glass layer or a gel layer of a thermally solidified vitrizable composition.
ing.
In general, in an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the pigment present in the green paste
Is a glass layer having a thickness of 0.5 to 5 μm or a thermally solidified vitrizable composition.
It is coated with a gel layer.
The term "composition" is used in a broad sense and refers to one or more components
. “Glass composition” refers to a composition that can be vitrified (eg, glass frit),
Is a vitreous composition
(For example, when the composition constitutes a pigment-coated glass layer, as described later).
I do.
Therefore, the glass composition of the printing paste of the present invention can be used as a glass frit powder or
May have the form of a vitreous or vitrifiable coating of pigment particles. The printing paper
The paste also comprises a glass composition in the form of a pigmented coating and a glass frit powder.
Or more compositions. In that case, the glassy or gel-like pigment particles
The coating may have a composition different from the glass frit composition of the printing paste, or a glass frit.
May have a composition that corresponds wholly or partially to the composition of the substrate.
Preferably, the printing paste according to the invention has a low melting point, i.e.
Melting point below the deformation temperature of the substrate or the firing temperature of the printed support, i.e.
Fewer compositions have melting points below 800 ° C., generally below 650 ° C.
And one type.
Particularly when the pigment coating has a low melting point (for example, when the pigment used is
(When the temperature is 500-800 ° C. and the temperature is sufficiently stable)
The amount of glass composition in the form of glass frit powder in the glass
Is the printing
It is even possible to completely omit the addition of the glass powder to the substrate. In that case
Is a printing paste in the form of a glass coating covering the pigment, in whole or in part of the glass composition.
Included in In such an embodiment of the invention, the accumulation of pigment is
Large matrix parts consisting only of glass without covering pigment may be formed
As a result, a very uniform distribution of the pigment in the calcined enamel layer is automatically achieved.
On the other hand, if the pigment coating has a high melting point exceeding 750-800 ° C.
(For example, if the pigment used is intact, it tends to change at the normal firing temperature.
), The printing paste of the present invention comprises at least one kind of
It preferentially comprises a low melting point frit form composition.
In accordance with the present invention, a hermetic coating of glass or thermal pretreatment of a suitable glass
Use pigments that are completely confined within an airtight coating of
Then, various advantageous effects can be obtained. For example, due to the presence of a coating,
More or less spherical particles having a smooth or rounded surface are formed. As a result, the seal
A more favorable flowability of the printing paste is obtained and, accordingly, the characteristics especially required for printing.
Results used to achieve a constant liquidity
Optimize mix proportions and composition (eg reduce binder usage)
be able to).
Another essential advantage of the present invention is that the printing paste, besides the binder, is vitreous or gaseous.
Containing as a main component more or less spherical particles or objects having a surface that can be lathed
It is in. As a result, a material having a vitreous or vitrified surface during the firing operation
In some cases, firing operations may be necessary because the bodies will more easily coalesce (aggregate) at the points of contact with each other.
It can be carried out at lower temperatures, or at a given baking temperature, especially with pigment coatings.
Have a higher melting point (eg above 750 ° C., especially above 1000 ° C.)
A vitreous or vitrizable composition can be used.
Therefore, in the present invention, even if a colored pigment which has been used so far is used, the calcined
A great advantage is obtained with regard to the quality of the mel layer. The present invention further provides a glass composition comprising
The printing paste can be fired at a lower temperature as long as it
It also has the advantage of cutting. In fact, in some situations, the glass composition may completely melt.
It is not necessary to select such a high firing temperature, and the glass spheres that cover the pigment particles are simple.
Just forming a coherent layer by simple sintering
Good. in this way
Then, for example, a somewhat porous enamel layer can be obtained. This is a lot
If so, it may be desirable.
The present invention has a lower chemical stability than the high-melting minerals used so far.
Alternatively, a colored pigment may be used. In fact, the pigment is contained within the sealed protective envelope.
Because it is confined, during baking, the surrounding atmosphere and the printing paste
Does not come into direct contact with the reactants present in In that case, glassy or gel-like
The composition and thickness of the protective coating of
You must choose to be fully maintained.
Thus, at present, the reason for the change in color or oxidation during the firing operation
Or the use is out of the question so far because the coloring function is completely lost by reduction.
It has become possible to use pigments that have been used. For example, using the present invention,
Magnetite (FeThreeOFour) And / or hematite (FeTwoOThreeIron oxide, like)
Or black carbon or graphite form carbon, or titanium nitride, etc.
Can be used as a colored pigment. Thus, at present, for example, carbon
