(57)【要約】 【課題】使い捨ておむつ等の吸収性アンダーガーメント
における体液の前後方向への拡散を促進する。 【解決手段】使い捨て吸収性アンダーガーメントの一例
としてのおむつ１において、吸液性コア４に厚み方向を
貫通し、おむつの前後方向に延びる複数の条孔１５がお
むつ１の前後方向と左右方向とに間欠的に配置されてい
る。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、使い捨て吸収性アン
ダーガーメントに関し、さらに詳しくは、***物を受容
する使い捨てのおむつ、失禁パッド等の吸収性アンダー
ガーメントに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】実開平１−１４１７０７号公報には、使
い捨ておむつの吸液性コアをいくつかのピースに分割す
るとともに、それらピースを互いに離間して配置し、各
ピースとピースとの間で表裏面シートを接合する構造が
開示されている。実開平２−８４６２３号公報には、吸
液性コアにその厚み方向を貫通し、長手方向へ延びる条
孔を形成し、該条孔において表裏面シートを接合する構
造が開示されている。
【０００３】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記実開平１−１４１
７０７号公報に開示された構造では、分割されたコアど
うしの間での体液の拡散が起こり得ないから、体液の排
泄が集中する股下域のコアだけがいち早く飽和吸液量に
達してしまい、他域のコアにまだ充分な吸液力があるに
もかかわらず股下域で体液漏れが始まるということがあ
る。また、実開平２−８４６２３号公報に開示された構
造であると、体液はおむつの前後方向に拡散できても、
横方向には拡散できないから、股下域では、コアを幅方
向の全体にわたって有効に利用することが難しい。その
ために、このコアでは、股下域の側縁部に吸液力がある
にもかかわらず、中央部が飽和量に達してしまい着用者
に強い湿潤感を与えるということがある。
【０００４】そこで、この発明は、吸液性コアがおむつ
の長手方向に延びる条孔を有する場合においても、優れ
た拡散性を持ち得るようにするとともに、コアが着用中
に偏在しないようにすることを主たる課題にしている。
【０００５】
【課題を解決するための手段】前記課題を解決するため
に、この発明が前提とするのは、透液性表面シートと不
透液性裏面シートとの間に吸液性コアが該両シートの長
手方向へ延在する使い捨て吸収性アンダーガーメントで
ある。
【０００６】かかる前提において、前記コアに、その厚
み方向を貫通し、前記長手方向へ延びる複数の条孔が前
記長手方向と幅方向とに間欠的に配置され、該条孔に沿
って前記表裏面シートが剥離不能に接合するとともに前
記表面シートが該条孔に沿って延びる溝部を形成してい
ることが、この発明の特徴である。
【０００７】この発明の好ましい実施態様の一つにおい
ては、前記コアが少なくとも５０重量％の親水性繊維質
材料を含み、コアの長手方向へ整列する条孔の端部間の
断続域における該繊維質材料の密度がコアの他域におけ
るそれよりも高く形成されている。また、実施態様の他
の一つでは、前記コアは、その繊維質材料の密度が、前
記コアの幅方向に隣接対向する前記条孔で画成されるコ
ア部分の少なくとも幅２ｍｍの側縁域において、該コア
部分の他の域におけるそれよりも高くされている。

【実施例】添付の図面を参照して、この発明に係る使い
捨て吸収性アンダーガーメントの一例としてのおむつの
詳細を説明すると、以下のとおりである。
【０００９】図１に部分破断平面図で示すおむつ１は、
透液性表面シート２と、不透液性裏面シート３と、それ
ら両シート２，３間にそれらの長手方向へ延在する吸液
性コア４とによって構成され、前後方向に前胴回り域６
と後胴回り域７と、それら両胴回り域６，７間に位置す
る股下域８とを有する。表裏面シート２，３は、コア４
の周縁から延出し、その延出する部分の内面どうしが水
密に接合している。前後胴回り域６，７にはその端縁６
Ａ，７Ａに沿って、また、股下域８にはその左右側縁８
Ａに沿って、胴回り弾性部材１０，１１と脚回り弾性部
材１２とが伸長状態で表裏面シート２，３の少なくとも
一方の内面に接合している。後胴回り域７の左右側縁に
はテープファスナ１３が取り付けられている。コア４に
は、前後方向と幅方向とに間欠的に整列する前後方向へ
長い条孔１５が形成されている。
【００１０】図２に示す図１のＩＩ−ＩＩ線端面図にお
いて、条孔１５は、コア４を厚み方向に貫通する空隙部
分である。ここでは表面シート２が下方に湾曲して裏面
シートに直接的に接触し、そこで両シート２，３が剥離
不能に接合することにより表面シート２が条孔１５に沿
って延びる幅約１〜１５ｍｍ、好ましくは幅約２〜１０
ｍｍの条溝１６を形成している。
【００１１】コア４は、少なくとも５０重量％の親水性
の繊維質材料を含む。かかる材料としては、粉砕パルプ
を使用することが好ましいが、その他の天然繊維や再生
繊維などを使うこともできる。コア４は、さらに高吸水
性ポリマー粉末や疎水性の熱可塑性合成繊維等を合計５
０重量％を限度として含むことができる。かかるコア４
は、図２の断面において、その親水性繊維質の密度が、
コア４の幅方向に隣接対向する条孔１５で画成されるコ
ア部分の少なくとも幅２ｍｍの側縁域Ｗ、好ましくは周
縁域において、該コア部分の他の域におけるそれよりも
高くされ、さらに具体的には、該コア部分の側縁から該
コア部分の中央部に向かって次第に低くされている。ま
た、図１の平面形状のコア４において、前後方向へ整列
する条孔１５の端部１５Ａ間の断続域１７（斜線域）で
は、その密度が、その他の域、例えば隣接する前記コア
部分のそれよりも高く形成されている。また、断続域１
７の密度は、側縁域Ｗの密度と比較して、それよりも高
いことが好ましいが、それと実質的に同じ場合がある。
【００１２】このように構成されたおむつ１では、条孔
１５において表裏面シート２，３が接合することによ
り、コア４は表面シート２や裏面シート３に接合してい
なくても、表裏面シート２，３間で妄りに移動すること
がない。***された尿などの体液は、条溝１６の中に入
れば、そこでおむつの前後方向へ広がる。体液は繊維質
材料の密度の低いところから高いところへ拡散する傾向
にあり、また密度の高いところでは低いところよりも速
やかに拡散する傾向にある。それゆえ、体液は条溝１６
からコア４に吸収されると、矢印Ａのごとくコア４の内
方へ拡散する他に、条孔１５の相対的に高密度な周縁域
Ｗにおいては、矢印Ｂ，Ｃのごとくおむつの前後方向へ
速やかに拡散する。拡散した先でも矢印Ｄ，Ｅのごとく
コア４の内方へ拡散する。端部１５Ａでは、高密度な断
続域１７へ速やかに拡散し、断続域１７から矢印Ｐ，Ｑ
のように幅方向へさらに拡散する。このように、高密度
な周縁域Ｗや断続域１７の存在によって、股下域８に排
泄された体液は、そこに滞溜することなく前後方向と幅
方向とへ拡散するから、該域８の湿潤感が軽減される。
断続域１７の存在は、体液の横方向への速やかな拡散を
可能にし、コア４に幅方向の体液拡散を妨げる条孔１５
があるにもかかわらず、その幅全体の有効利用を可能に
する。
【００１３】図３は、図１と同様な平面図であって、条
孔１５および条溝１６の配列の一例を示す。条孔１５
は、コア４の前後方向に整列して間欠的に配置されてい
るが、幅方向は間欠的ではあっても、図１のごとく、コ
ア４の幅方向に隣接対向する条孔１５の断続域が同方向
に整列してはいない。この場合においても、斜線で示す
断続域１７は、その他の域よりも高密度に形成されてい
る。
【００１４】おむつ１において、体液の拡散をさらに促
進するために、コア４の密度を股下域８を中心に前後胴
回り域６，７方向へ向かって次第に高くなるようにして
もよい。また、条溝１６に親水化剤（表面活性剤）を塗
布し、または条溝１６における表裏面シート２，３間に
拡散性に優れるテープ状シート片を介在させてもよい。
【００１５】おむつ１を構成する材料としては使い捨て
おむつに慣用されるもの、例えば、表面シート２には不
織布や開口プラスチックフィルム、裏面シート３にはポ
リエチレン等のプラスチックフィルム、コア４には前記
繊維質材料の賦型品を使用することができる。コア４の
密度の高低を調整するには、賦型圧を一定にしてパルプ
の坪量を部分的に変化させたり、その坪量を一定にして
賦型圧を部分的に変化させたりすればよい。表裏面シー
ト２，３の接合をはじめとする各部材の接合には、ホッ
トメルト型接着材等を利用する接着技術の他に、熱溶融
性素材に対する溶着技術を利用することができる。おむ
つ１は、図示例の開放型のものの他、胴回り両側縁部と
接合したパンツ型のものであってもよい。

【発明の効果】この発明に係るアンダーガーメントで
は、アンダーガーメントの前後方向へ延びる縦長の条孔
がコアに形成され、条孔がアンダーガーメントの前後方
向と幅方向とに間欠的に配置され、条孔では表裏面シー
トが接合して条溝を画成しているから、条孔においては
股下域に集中的に***される体液が、アンダーガーメン
トの前後方向へ容易に拡散し、前後方向へ整列する条孔
の端部と端部との間においては幅方向の拡散が可能にな
る。条孔の端部と端部との間の断続域で親水性繊維質材
料の密度が相対的に高い場合には、コアの前後方向と幅
方向との体液拡散が促進される。条孔で画成されるコア
部分の側縁域の繊維質材料の密度がコアの他の域におけ
るそれよりも高くなる態様では、該側縁における長手方
向への体液の拡散が一層促進される。このように、この
アンダーガーメントでは、縦長の条孔が存在するにもか
かわらずコアの幅方向の吸液力を有効に利用することが
でき、股下域の湿潤間が軽減する。
【００１７】また、コアは、条溝で表裏面シートが互い
に接合することで前後左右方向、特に左右方向への移動
を阻止されているので、着用中に、偏在したり、いわば
団子を生じたりし、ひいては、着用者に不快感を与えた
り、***液の吸収力を低下させたりするおそれがない。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】透液性表面シートと不透液性裏面シートと
    の間に吸液性コアが該両シートの長手方向へ延在する使
    い捨て吸収性アンダーガーメントであって、 前記コアに、その厚み方向を貫通し、前記長手方向へ延
    びる複数の条孔が前記長手方向と幅方向とに間欠的に配
    置され、該条孔に沿って前記表裏面シートが剥離不能に
    接合するとともに前記表面シートが該条孔に沿って延び
    る条溝を形成していることを特徴とする前記アンダーガ
    ーメント。
  2. 【請求項２】前記コアは、少なくとも５０重量％の親水
    性繊維質材料を含み、前記長手方向へ整列する条孔の端
    部間の断続線域における前記繊維質材料の密度が前記コ
    アの他の域におけるそれよりも高くされている請求項１
    記載のアンダーガーメント。
  3. 【請求項３】前記コアは、その繊維質材料の密度が、前
    記コアの幅方向に隣接対向する前記条孔で画成されるコ
    ア部分の少なくとも幅２ｍｍの側縁域において、該コア
    部分の他の域におけるそれよりも高くされている請求項
    １または２記載のアンダーガーメント。
