The present invention mainly relates to a tank device for engine oil mounted on a construction machine such as a hydraulic excavator.
FIG. 3 is a cutaway rear view of a conventional hydraulic excavator. In the figure, 1 is a lower running structure, 2 is an upper revolving structure, 3 is an engine, 4 is an oil pan of the engine 3, 5 is a drain plug for draining engine oil, and 6 is for injecting new engine oil. A filler port 7 is a cap of the filler port 6. The engine 3 is filled with engine oil in order to lubricate bearings such as a crankshaft (not shown), connecting rods and camshafts. When replacing old engine oil that has been used for a long time in the engine 3 shown in Fig. 3, remove the drain plug 5 and drain the old engine oil into another container a. Then, the drain plug 5 is again attached to the bottom of the oil pan 4, and a new engine oil is injected from the oil filler port 6 of the engine 3.
FIG. 4 is a cutaway rear view of a main part of a hydraulic excavator equipped with a conventional tank device for replenishing engine oil. In the figure, 3a is an engine, 6'is a filler port for injecting engine oil, 8 is a refill tank, 9 is an oil pump, 10 is an opening / closing valve, and 11 is a motor (not shown) for driving the oil pump 9. The switch, 12 is the engine bonnet, and the dimension H is the height from the ground to the cap 7'of the filler opening 6 '. In the conventional tank device shown in FIG. 4, when the engine oil of the engine 3a is reduced below a predetermined storage amount, the engine oil in the refill tank 8 can be replenished by operating the switch (11).
【0004】[0004]
The hydraulic excavator is manufactured so that the height of the upper revolving structure is made as small as possible for reasons such as height limitation during transportation and ensuring rearward visibility from the cab. Therefore, the engine has a compact size, so the oil pan is also the smallest size. Therefore, when the hydraulic excavator was operated, the engine oil was reduced quite early. The driver went up to the upper revolving structure and opened the engine bonnet to refuel, but the effort was troublesome and required considerable effort and time. In addition, in the hydraulic excavator equipped with the engine oil replenishment tank device shown in Fig. 4, the driver may perform the replenishment operation each time the engine oil has decreased below the predetermined storage amount. Since it uses a pump, an on-off valve, etc., the manufacturing cost is high and the time for replenishment operation is also inconvenient. In addition, in the conventional technique, when exchanging engine oil, the driver or worker went under the upper revolving structure to remove the drain plug at the bottom of the oil pan to remove old engine oil. The work posture was unreasonable, and I could not say that it was perfect for safety. It is an object of the present invention to provide an engine oil tank device that can solve the above problems.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cutaway rear view of a hydraulic excavator equipped with a tank device 12 of the present invention. In the drawing, 3b is an engine, 13 is an oil pan of the engine 3b, 14L and 14R are sub tanks, 15L and 15R are breathers provided in the sub tanks 14L and 14R, 16L and 16R are drain plugs, and 17 is an oil pan. 13 and the sub-tanks 14L and 14R are in communication with each other. L. Is the horizontal level. FIG. 2 is a cutaway rear view showing a state in which the hydraulic excavator in FIG. 1 is operating on a sloped ground. The inclination angle of the inclined ground is θ.
Next, the configuration of the tank device 12 of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. In the tank device 12 of the present invention, the two sub tanks 14L and 14R that communicate with the oil pan 13 for the engine (3b) are fixed at positions substantially opposite to each other with the position of the oil pan 13 as a center in plan view. When the hydraulic excavator operates on a sloping ground, the oil in the one of the two sub-tanks 14L and 14R, whichever is higher, flows into the oil pan 13. Further, drain plugs 16L and 16R were provided in the sub tanks 14L and 14R, respectively. The distances p and p'from the piping connection port 18 provided at the bottom of the oil pan 13 to the sub tanks 14L and 14R are substantially equal to each other. Further, the height positions of the bottoms of the sub tanks 14L and 14R are set to be lower than the height position of the connection port 18.
Next, the operation of the tank device 12 of the present invention will be described. Since the tank device 12 is provided with the plurality of sub-tanks 14L and 14R, the engine 3b can store a considerably large amount of engine oil as compared with the case of the engine of the related art. As a result, the engine oil refueling time interval can be extended, which can save energy for the driver and improve work efficiency. When the hydraulic excavator works on a sloped ground, the engine oil in the sub tank on the higher position flows into the oil pan 13, so the amount of oil in the oil pan 13 increases even when the engine oil is low. It will be in a state where it is in a state where it can be extended and the refueling time interval can be extended. Since the sub tanks 14L and 14R are provided with breathers 15L and 15R, respectively, it is possible to remove the breathers 15L and 15R and refuel from their mounting ports. Therefore, when refueling the engine oil, if the sub tank 14L or 14R is refueled on the ground on the side of the upper revolving structure, it is not necessary to climb the upper revolving structure and refuel from the refueling port 19 of the engine 3b. Good. As you can easily refuel in a normal posture, you can safely and reduce labor. When replacing the engine oil, the drain plug 16L or 16R of the sub tank 14L or 14R can be removed from the side of the upper revolving structure, and the old engine oil can be easily drained using a hose (phantom line B shown in FIG. 1) or the like. Therefore, unlike the case of the prior art, it is not necessary for an operator to go around the upper swing body, and the engine oil can be easily changed in a normal posture.
【0009】[0009]
Since the engine oil pan equipped on the upper revolving structure of the hydraulic excavator cannot be made large in size due to its structure, the engine oil will decrease fairly early, and in the conventional technology, the driver would go up to the upper revolving structure and open the engine bonnet each time. I was refueling. It was troublesome to refuel, and it took a considerable amount of time and effort. Also, some conventional hydraulic excavators are equipped with a replenishing tank device, but the production cost thereof is high and the replenishing operation time is required, which is inconvenient. Further, in the prior art, when exchanging the engine oil, the driver or the worker goes around the lower side of the upper revolving structure to remove the drain plug at the bottom of the oil pan to remove the old engine oil. The work posture was unreasonable, and I could not say that it was perfect for safety. However, since the tank device of the present invention is provided with a plurality of sub-tanks communicating with the engine oil pan, it is possible to store a considerably large amount of engine oil in this engine as compared with the case of the prior art engine. it can. As a result, the engine oil refueling time interval can be extended, which helps save energy for the driver and improve work efficiency. When the hydraulic excavator works on a sloping ground, the engine oil in the sub tank on the higher position flows into the oil pan, so the amount of oil in the oil pan increases even when the engine oil is low. Next, you can extend the time interval for refueling. Further, when refueling the engine oil, it is sufficient to refuel the sub tank on the ground on the side of the upper revolving structure, without having to go up to the upper revolving structure and refuel from the oil refueling port of the engine. Refueling can be done easily in a normal posture, so safety and labor can be reduced. When replacing the engine oil, the drain plug of the sub tank can be removed from the side of the upper revolving structure to easily drain the old engine oil. Unlike the case of the prior art, it is not necessary for the operator to go around the upper swing body, and the engine oil can be easily changed in a normal posture. INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The engine oil tank device of the present invention has a simple structure, is low in manufacturing cost, and can extend the engine oil refueling time interval and the replacement time interval, and can improve the energy saving and safety of the oil refueling and replacement work.
