な非常に厳しい特性が要求され、従来の潤滑剤では何れ
もが満足し得ないというのが現状である。即ち、この種
の潤滑剤には、第1に低温特性に優れており、寒冷地で
の使用に際しても所定の潤滑効果が発現されること、第
2に磁気ヘッドとのスペーシングとの関係で極めて薄く
塗布でき、その場合にも潤滑特性が十分に発揮されるこ
と、第3に長時間、あるいは長時間の使用に耐え、潤滑
効果が持続すること、等が要求される。
