Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject product, excellent in deodorizing effects and improved in durability by treating a textile product with a resin liquid containing a deodorizing inorganic substance and forming a cellular resin film containing the deodorizing substance on the surface of the above-mentioned textile product. CONSTITUTION:A textile product composed of natural or synthetic fiber, etc., is treated with a resin emulsion liquid (e.g. polyacrylic or polyurethane-based resin) containing a deodorizing inorganic substance, e.g. oxide or phosphate of magnesium, aluminum, titanium, copper or zinc, or a mixture thereof mixed in an amorphous state to form a cellular film of the resin containing the above- mentioned deodorizing substance on the surface of the fiber. Thereby, a deodorizing textile product, having a large contact area with bad-smelling gases, excellent in deodorizing rate and effects and rich in durability is obtained.

With a uniform film, the deodorizing effect is small depending on the amount of deodorizing inorganic substance used, and the speed is slow and inefficient.
The diameter of the pores in the porous fat film is preferably 0.1 μm to 1.0 μm. The following three methods are generally used to form a porous resin film, and the process is simple.

(1) A 0/W type emulsion of water and volatile oil is mixed into an aqueous resin solution or emulsion liquid. The particle size of the volatile oil in the emulsion is adjusted to 10 μm or less using a surfactant, mixed with a deodorizing inorganic substance in a resin solution, and treated with the above method to adhere to the fiber surface. It can be dried to form pores corresponding to the particles of the emulsion. The number and size of the 41 pores can be adjusted by controlling the particle size by adjusting the amount of emulsion mixed and the HLB of the surfactant.

As mentioned above, the deodorizing fiber products obtained in each example have excellent deodorizing properties! I! Fibers, which are organic substances, have a large surface area, and therefore have a large contact area with malodorous gases. Particularly in the areas where the fibers converge, there is resistance to the passage of malodorous gases, and the interaction between the deodorizing inorganic material and the malodorous gases is increased. The contact time is longer and the deodorizing efficiency is better.

Moreover, since the deodorizing inorganic substance is retained through the porous resin film, the contact area between the deodorizing inorganic substance and the foul-smelling gas increases significantly, and the thickness of the film is made porous. As the resin film becomes thinner, the time for the malodorous gas to diffuse inside the resin film becomes shorter, resulting in faster deodorizing speed, and most of the deodorizing inorganic substance contributes to deodorizing, resulting in extremely good deodorizing efficiency.
