[Detailed description of the invention] [Industrial application field] This invention mainly relates to a container for obtaining high-quality compost from agricultural waste such as rice husks and cut straw used as bedding for livestock.

It has long been strongly advocated that agricultural waste such as rice husks and cut straw be composted and reused. In order to promote composting, the moisture content of the sediment should be kept in the range of 40% to 80%, and at the same time, aeration should be done to improve the activity of aerobic bacteria. Because it is necessary to ensure sufficient properties, it is necessary to perform complicated operations such as adding water to the deposits, turning the deposits over as appropriate, and erecting ventilation pipes to encourage ventilation.

In addition, in recent years, a fermentation bag for compost production has been developed whose body is made of a woven fabric with low air permeability and a part of the bottom is meshed (see Utility Model Application No. 151340/1983). Since the top of the bag was open, this kind of container, which is normally used outdoors, is susceptible to overwatering inside the bag due to the inflow of rainwater during rainy days, and water leakage during dry weather. Evaporation caused overdrying, making it difficult to maintain the moisture content of the contents (hereinafter referred to as "raw manure") within the above-mentioned range of 40 to 80%, which not only made it impossible to obtain high-quality compost.
The problem was that composting was significantly delayed.

In addition, environmental health problems have also been pointed out, such as a strong odor being emitted as the raw manure ferments inside the container, and pests such as mosquitoes and flies easily infesting the container. However, the reality is that conventional composting means do not take any measures to address these issues.

In view of these circumstances, the inventor of the present invention has conducted extensive experimental research for many years, and has attached top and bottom covers made of breathable material to both the top and bottom openings of the container body made of non-ventilated material, thereby reducing the top cover by at least 30%. By setting the porosity at the front and rear, the above-mentioned conventional problems are solved all at once.

According to the structure of the proposed composting container, ventilation suitable for the growth of aerobic bacteria is allowed to flow through the gaps between the bottom lid and the top lid, and the porosity of the top lid in particular is set to around 30%, thereby making it possible to reduce the moisture content of the raw manure. It has the effect of being able to maintain the overall performance within a range of 40 to 80%.

Below, the structure will be explained in more detail according to one embodiment shown in the drawings. 1 is a container body made of a non-breathable material such as a synthetic resin sheet or woven fabric, and 2 is a container body whose entire surface is made of raw manure. The bottom cover 3 has a porosity that prevents leakage, and the top cover 3 is openable and closable. The porosity is around 30%.

In the figure, reference numeral 4 indicates a hanging device made of a strap or the like which also serves to reinforce the main body of the container, and reference numeral 5 indicates a chuck for opening and closing the top lid attached to the upper opening edge.

The proposed container with the above structure is easy to move and transport using its hanging equipment, so as mentioned above, crushed rice husks, cut straw, etc., after being used as bedding for livestock sheds, etc., can be removed from the top lid 3. The device is loaded, transported to an appropriate location, and installed with the bottom raised slightly above the ground.

In this case, since the body 1 made of an air-impermeable material plays the role of a flue, natural ventilation from the breathable bottom cover 2 to the top cover 3 is promoted.
If necessary, it is also possible to forcefully ventilate the container from below using a suitable blower (not shown).

Furthermore, the reason why the porosity of the top lid of the proposed container is set at around 30% is that when this container is used outdoors, the inflow of rainwater and direct sunlight during dry weather are restricted through the top lid 3. Even if there is some difference between the upper and lower parts of raw manure, the moisture content is between 40 and 80.
At the same time, the growth of aerobic bacteria is promoted by an appropriate amount of air circulating within the bag, and fermentation and ripening of the raw manure are effectively achieved.

In addition, in the present container, the above-mentioned upper lid greatly suppresses the release of the bad smell of compost, and the fermentation heat inside the container, which reaches a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius as the raw manure is properly fermented and ripened, The larvae of mosquitoes and flies living in the manure are burned to death, or the larvae and adults that try to escape from the container are cut off by the above-mentioned top lid and die, making it extremely effective in preserving environmental hygiene. The following effects can be obtained.

As detailed above, the composting container of the present invention can of course be used as a normal container for storing and transporting rice husks, cut straw, grass, etc., but especially after being used as bedding for livestock, etc. When composting raw manure, there is no need for the troublesome work and effort required to manage moisture and ventilation, which is required in conventional open-topped container systems or open-topped container methods, and the raw manure can be fermented and rotten efficiently. It is something.

In other words, the composting container of the present invention is made of a breathable material such as mesh at the top opening, and has a top lid that can be opened and closed, so that the amount of air passing upward through the bottom lid is appropriate compared to an open type. This works together with the fact that the above-mentioned top cover restricts the inflow of rainwater and the evaporation of moisture in the raw manure due to direct sunlight. By maintaining a moderate moisture content of ~80%, it is possible to obtain high-quality compost in a short period of time.

In addition, by storing the above-mentioned raw manure in containers and composting it, it is possible to obtain a large amount of compost at the same time by using a large number of containers, and it is also extremely easy to transport and move them. In addition to being easy to carry out, it also has various advantages, such as being able to be used even in densely populated residential areas, since it does not cause any problems in terms of environmental hygiene as it prevents the generation of bad odors due to proper aerobic fermentation and the breeding of pests due to high fermentation heat. It has many practical advantages.
