Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a tensioner that applies proper tension to a running chain, belt, or the like.
Conventionally, it has been customary to use a tensioner to properly maintain the tension of a chain or the like. 2. Description of the Related Art In a chain guide mechanism that slides and guides a transmission chain by means of a tensioner lever, a tensioner is used to urge the tensioner lever in order to properly maintain the tension of the chain.
As a known tensioner used in such a chain guide mechanism, as shown in FIG. a

Therefore, the relief valve is unitized and inserted into the plunger, and the plunger is provided with an external relief hole for discharging the relieved oil to the outside, thereby simplifying the plunger structure and facilitating assembly. It is publicly known (see, for example,

However, in the

Therefore, the
In addition, since the external relief hole 623 (16b) is open to the front side of the plunger 620 (16), the pressing surface of the guide lever or the like pressed by the plunger 620 (16) directly faces the external relief hole 623 (16b). This also increases the flow path resistance, which may hinder pressure release during relief.
Therefore, the present invention solves these problems, has a simple structure, is easy to assemble, has low flow path resistance, and smoothly releases the pressure at the time of leakage, thereby increasing the oil pressure in the pressure oil chamber. It is an object of the present invention to provide a tensioner capable of satisfactorily stabilizing the
The present invention provides a plunger having a plunger hole opening to the rear side, a housing having a plunger housing hole opening to the front side for housing the plunger, and a pressure oil chamber formed between the plunger and the plunger housing hole. a main urging means housed telescopically in the main urging means for urging the plunger forward; and a relief mechanism for relieving the oil in the pressure oil chamber to the outside of the plunger when the oil pressure in the pressure oil chamber increases. wherein the relief mechanism comprises: a relief valve unit inserted into the front side of the plunger hole; a relief hole, wherein the relief valve unit includes a seat member, a valve ball accommodated inside the seat member, a spring for biasing the valve ball, and a movement of the valve ball while holding the spring. It has a stopper member that regulates the range, and a cap member that fits into the seat member and holds the stopper member inside the seat member, and the external relief hole opens to the radially outer peripheral surface side of the plunger. By doing so, the above problems are solved.
According to the first aspect of the invention, when the oil pressure in the pressure oil chamber rises, the oil pressure causes the valve member to move in a direction away from the pressure oil chamber side, and the valve member passes between the valve member and the partition, Not only can the oil be relieved from the oil pressure chamber toward the relief space, but also the following effects can be obtained.
That is, in the invention according to claim 1, the cap member has an oil leak portion for discharging the relieved oil to the relief side space, and the external relief hole of the plunger is open to the radially outer peripheral surface side of the plunger. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide the oil leak portion on the center axis as long as it communicates with the space connected to the external relief hole of the plunger.
This eliminates the need to secure an oil path for directing the relieved oil to the center, simplifies the structure of the stopper member, simplifies the structure, facilitates assembly, and reduces flow resistance and leakage. The pressure release can be performed smoothly.
In addition, since the external relief hole of the plunger is open on the outer peripheral surface side in the radial direction of the plunger, there is no obstruction such as a guide lever in front of the external relief hole, and the flow resistance of the path for discharging oil is reduced. It becomes possible to
According to the configuration of
In addition, the thickness of the tip plate of the plunger can be reduced, the weight of the plunger can be reduced, the spring space can be lengthened, and the overall length can be shortened.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the oil leak portion has a connecting portion that traverses the circumferential direction at the intermediate portion of the side open portion, so that the upper side of the oil leak portion that leaks oil to the side; It is possible to functionally separate the lower portion of the oil leak portion that acts as a bending slit when fitting the cap member to the seat member.
As a result, even if the circumferential width of the oil leak part is widened, it is possible to strengthen the holding force when the fitting is made, and it is possible to prevent the cap member from coming off even when it receives a strong impact. can.
According to the configuration of claim 4, the top surface open portion is formed to be wider than the circumferential width of the side open portion above the connecting portion, so that the top surface open portion extends to the outer peripheral side. It is possible to place them close to each other, secure the flow path area of the relieved oil toward the top surface side, enable smooth oil leakage, and have the optimum hole shape to secure the pressure receiving area against the stopper member. becomes possible.
According to the configuration according to claim 5, by having the straightening convex portion provided on the outer peripheral surface between the oil leak portions, the flow of the relieved oil in the outer peripheral direction is suppressed, turbulence is prevented, and the flow is smooth. In addition, the relief valve unit can be better guided when inserted into the plunger, facilitating assembly.
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, the cap member has an engaging protrusion that retains the fitting to the seat member, and the seat member engages with the engaging protrusion to prevent the fitting of the cap member. By having the engaging recess for holding, when assembling the tensioner, it can be inserted into the plunger hole after the relief valve unit is assembled, thereby facilitating assembly.
According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, the engaging recess is provided so as to be able to hold the cap member at a plurality of positions in the projection direction of the plunger. After the cap member is shallowly fitted without being compressed and the relief valve unit is integrated, it can be inserted into the plunger hole for deep fitting, further facilitating assembly.
Further, by making the depth of the engaging recess into which the cap member on the projecting side is shallowly fitted larger than the depth of the engaging recess into which the cap member is deeply fitted, when the cap member is inserted into the plunger hole, the engaging recess can be easily inserted into the plunger hole. Since the outer diameter of the cap member is small, the cap member can be smoothly inserted all the way into the recess. can be set to an outer diameter that can maintain a lightly press-fitted state with respect to the plunger inside the plunger hole.
According to the eighth aspect of the present invention, the cap member has an outer surface protrusion that abuts against the inner wall of the plunger hole when the cap member is housed inside the plunger, thereby allowing the engagement recess of the seat member and the cap member to engage. Even if the engagement structure with the protrusion is shallow, the disengagement inside the plunger is prevented, so that the engagement between the engagement recess of the seat member and the engagement protrusion of the cap member during assembly is facilitated.
In addition, the relief valve unit is configured to be fixed inside the plunger with the outer surface protrusion portion being lightly press-fitted, and by providing the outer surface protrusion portion intermittently in the circumferential direction, the ability to release air from the pressure oil chamber at startup is improved. do.
According to the configuration of
According to the tenth aspect of the present invention, the cap member has the holding concave portion that fits with the stopper member, so that the passage of the relieved oil on the side of the stopper member can be reliably secured, and the flow path can be improved. The resistance is small and the pressure can be released smoothly at the time of leakage.
Further, by performing the assembling work with the cap member and the stopper member fitted together, the relief valve unit can be easily assembled.
According to the eleventh aspect of the present invention, the cap member is integrally formed with the stopper member as a single member, thereby reducing the number of parts and further facilitating the assembly of the relief valve unit.
According to the twelfth aspect of the present invention, the cap member is made of a resin material, so that the degree of freedom in shape is improved, the weight is reduced, the assembly of the relief valve unit is further facilitated, and the optimum oil is obtained. The path can be designed, and the flow path resistance is small, so that the pressure can be released smoothly in the event of a leak.
In addition, since the force applied to the plunger is weakened when it is press-fitted into the plunger hole, deformation of the plunger is prevented, the thickness of the plunger can be reduced, weight reduction can be achieved, and shape accuracy can be ensured. Become.

By forming the

As shown in FIG. 9, a

As shown in FIGS. 13 to 16, the
The side open portions (172gu, 172gd) have a connecting

Since the
