Description
Claims (7)
- 車両の排気経路途中に設けられ、排気騒音を低減する排気消音装置であって、
前記排気経路途中に設けられ、内部に膨張室が形成されたマフラと、
前記マフラの入口開口に気密に挿通されて前記膨張室内に進入するインレットパイプであって、その周面に1以上の開口部を有するインレットパイプと、
前記マフラの出口開口に気密に挿通されて前記膨張室内に進入するアウトレットパイプであって、その周面に1以上の開口部を有するアウトレットパイプと、
を備え、
前記インレットパイプおよび前記アウトレットパイプは、その上側半分の領域にのみ前記開口部が形成されており、その下側半分は、前記開口部がなく閉鎖されている、
ことを特徴とする排気消音装置。 - 請求項1に記載の排気消音装置であって、
前記インレットパイプおよびアウトレットパイプの少なくとも一方は、平板をパイプ状に巻いた巻きパイプであり、
前記巻きパイプの巻き合わせ部分には、前記平板の巻き終わりと巻き始めを接合した接合部と、接合していない非接合部が、交互に並んでおり、
前記1以上の開口部は、前記非接合部を含む、
ことを特徴とする排気消音装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の排気消音装置であって、
前記インレットパイプおよびアウトレットパイプの少なくとも一方は、その周面にパイプの内外に連通する1以上の小孔を有しており、
前記1以上の開口部は、前記1以上の小孔を含む、
ことを特徴とする排気消音装置。 - 請求項3に記載の排気消音装置であって、
前記インレットパイプおよびアウトレットパイプは、いずれも、前記1以上の小孔を有しており、
前記アウトレットパイプの小孔は、前記インレットパイプの小孔よりも、大径である、ことを特徴とする排気消音装置。 - 請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の排気消音装置であって、
前記インレットパイプおよび前記アウトレットパイプの少なくとも一方は、前記膨張室を流れ方向に分割するべく前記膨張室内に配されたセパレータにより支持されている、ことを特徴とする排気消音装置。 - 請求項5に記載の排気消音装置であって、
前記アウトレットパイプは、前記セパレータにより支持されており、
前記セパレータは、前記アウトレットパイプの上流端に連なるとともに、前記アウトレットパイプの上流端から径方向外側に行くに従い、上流側に進む略漏斗状である、ことを特徴とする排気消音装置。 - 請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の排気消音装置であって、
前記アウトレットパイプの上流端は、ラッパ状に広がる、または、斜めにカットされている、ことを特徴とする排気消音装置。
