R1−CO−NR2R3 (I)

本明細書の組成物は、抗菌活性物質を含んでよい。抗菌活性物質は、抗菌活性を提供すると政府機関により承認された材料である。抗菌活性物質は、安息香酸、クエン酸、グリコール酸、乳酸、オクタン酸、ノナン酸、デカン酸、次亜塩素酸、過酸化水素、ペルオキシ酢酸、ペルオキシオクタン酸、銀イオン化合物及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されてよい。本明細書に開示の組成物はまた、約0.1%〜約10%、又は約0.1%〜約5%、又は約0.1%〜約1%のカチオン性抗菌剤を任意に含んでもよい。本明細書に開示の組成物に使用するのに好ましいカチオン性抗菌剤としては、塩化ベンザルコニウム、塩化ベンゼトニウム、クロルヘキシジン二酢酸、ポリヘキサメチレンビグアニド(PHMB)、グルコン酸クロルヘキシジン、及びそれらの混合物が挙げられる。組成物はまた、グルタルアルデヒド、亜鉛2−ピリジンチオール−1−オキシド、硫酸銅五水和物、ヨウ素、ヨウ素塩、ブトキシポリプロポキシポリエトキシエタノールヨウ素錯体、ポリビニルピロリドン−ヨウ素錯体、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される抗菌剤も含んでもよい。
本明細書に開示の組成物はまた、1つ以上の添加剤を含有してもよい。添加剤は、組成物の即座の及び/又は残留する有効性を増加し、標的の基材へ適用時に組成物の湿潤性を改善し、希釈組成物の溶媒として動作し、及び/又は組成物の美的特徴を改良するように機能するために採用されてよい。これらの添加剤はまた、脱脂及び溶解化の利点、更なる抗菌性の強化、増粘、汚れの凝集又は防汚の利点、組成物の溶解性向上、抗菌活性物質の更なる触媒作用、残留する又は長時間(例えば24時間)の抗菌特性の保持時間、及び/又は表面の安全性向上の利点を提供することができる。
本明細書に開示の組成物(類)は、(これも溶媒として機能することができる式Iのアミドに加えて)溶媒を含んでよい。溶媒は、通常は周囲温度条件で液体である。溶媒は、特にそのまま使用できる組成物、及び約10部未満の水に対して約1部の濃縮物、又は約5部未満の水に対して約1部の濃縮物の比率で、水で希釈される濃縮組成物の望ましい添加剤であり得る。本明細書に開示の組成物は、組成物の約0.25重量%〜約25重量%、又は約0.5重量%〜約15重量%、又は約1重量%〜約10重量%の溶媒を含んでよい。溶媒は、泡の制御、組成物の粘度調整、又は更なる抗菌性の強化をもたらすために使用され得る。溶媒はまた、洗浄力の改善、又は組成物の成分晶出を防止するために使用されてもよい。洗浄力を改善することができる溶媒の非限定的な例としては、グリコールエーテル、より詳細には、モノ−、ジ−、及びトリエチレングリコールエーテル及びジエーテルのC1〜C8誘導体、並びにモノ−、ジ−、及びトリプロピレングリコールエーテル及びジエーテルのC1〜C6誘導体が挙げられる。非限定的な例としては、プロピレングリコールプロピルエーテル、ジプロピレングリコールブチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールブチルエーテル、トリプロピレングリコールジメチルエーテル、エチレングリコールn−ヘキシルエーテル、エチレングリコールn−オクチルエーテルなどが挙げられる。「ブチル」は、ノルマルブチル、イソブチル、及び第三級ブチル基を含む。溶媒は、カリフォルニア州大気資源局(California Air Resources Board)により定義される非VOC(揮発性有機化合物)、又は、例えばエタノール、イソプロパノール及びプロピレングリコールなどのVOCが選択され得る。VOC溶媒は、使用中の組成物の約0.5重量%未満の濃度で存在してよい。
好適な精油又はその活性物質には、抗菌活性を示す精油が挙げられる。「精油の活性物質」とは、抗菌活性を示す精油の任意の成分を意味する。精油及びその活性物質はまた、望ましい香りの特性をもたらす。
本明細書に開示の組成物は、1つ以上のキレート剤又は隔離剤を含んでもよい。本明細書で使用するとき、用語「キレート剤」及び「隔離剤」は、同義的に使用される。キレート剤には、アルカリ土類金属の二価イオン、遷移金属の二価イオン、及び/又は遷移金属の三価イオンを溶液から隔離する化学化合物が含まれる。隔離される金属イオンは、本明細書に開示の組成物中に存在する場合があり(例えば、希釈に使用される硬水を介して組み込まれる)、又は組成物が処理することを意図する微生物内に埋め込まれている場合がある。本明細書に開示の濃縮組成物中の金属イオンは、水の、又は組成物を作製するために使用される原材料の不純物に起因し得る。これらの金属イオンは、性能又は組成物の安定性に悪影響を及ぼし得る。金属イオンの濃度は、逆浸透及び脱イオン化を含む水浄化プロセスを使用して低減されることができる。このような金属イオンの例としては、鉄、ニッケル、マンガンなどの二価及び三価イオンなどが挙げられる。
本発明はまた、この組成物を含む物品に関し、この組成物は噴霧ディスペンサ、又は拭き取りシート若しくはパッド内に含まれる。組成物は、拭き取りシート又はパッド上に含まれてもよい。このような拭き取りシート及びパッドは、家庭用品などに見られるような、硬質表面を処理するために好適であり得る。好適な拭き取りシートは、繊維状であり得る。好適な繊維状拭き取りシートは、ポリマー繊維、セルロース繊維、及びそれらの組み合わせを含み得る。好適なセルロース系拭き取りシートには、キッチン用拭き取りシートなどが挙げられる。好適なポリマー繊維には、ポリエチレン、ポリエステルなどが挙げられる。ポリマー繊維は、スパンボンドされて拭き取りシートを形成できる。サーマルボンドされた繊維質材料の調製方法は、1995年7月3日出願の米国特許出願第08/479,096号(Richardsら)(特に16〜20頁参照)、及び1996年8月27日発行の米国特許第5,549,589号(Horneyら)(特に9〜10段参照)に記載されている。好適なパッドには、HIPE由来の親水性ポリマー発泡体などの発泡体などが挙げられる。このような発泡体及びその調製方法は、1996年8月27日発行の米国特許第5,550,167号(DesMarais)、及び同一出願人による1995年1月10日出願の米国特許出願第08/370,695号(Stoneら)に記載されている。
本明細書に開示の組成物は、硬質表面の処理、軟質の無生物表面の処理、及び皮膚の処理を含む、様々な用途及び方法に使用されることができる。組成物は、家庭内の例えば、カウンタ、シンク、化粧室、トイレ、浴槽、シャワー台、キッチン用品、床、窓、壁、家具、電話、玩具、下水口、パイプなどの硬質表面の清掃、衛生化、消毒、又は殺菌に使用され得る。組成物はまた、例えば、ホテル、病院、ケアセンター、飲食施設、フィットネスセンター、学校、オフィスビル、百貨店、及び刑務所などの事業施設で、(家庭及び事業施設の両方に一般的である上述の表面に加え)器具、道具、食品及び医療準備区域の清掃、衛生化、消毒、又は殺菌に使用され得る。本明細書に開示の組成物は、屋外同様に屋内の表面の処理に使用されてよく、家庭又は事業施設の両方の環境での、カーペット、エリアラグ、カーテン、布製家具、及び衣類などの軟質の無生物表面の衛生化、消毒、又は殺菌にも使用され得る。

組成物#1〜4は、過酸化水素を含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対するC8〜10 N,N−ジメチルアミドの効果を評価するために作製され試験される。殺菌剤噴霧試験評価を、脱イオン水及び硬水条件で実施する。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、PA=Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15442、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)のものである。
組成物#5〜8は、過酸化水素を含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対する、ベンジルアルコールと比較したC8〜10N,N−ジメチルアミドの効果を評価するために作製され試験される。殺菌剤噴霧試験評価を、脱イオン水及び硬水条件でStaphylococcus aureusに対して実施する。組成物#5〜8は、コハク酸及び第2の有機酸、乳酸又はグリコール酸のどちらかを含有する。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538)のものである。
組成物#9〜12は、過酸化水素を含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対する、異なる鎖長のアルキルスルフェート及び異なる鎖長のアミドの効果を評価するために作製され試験される。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、PA=Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15442、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)のものである。
組成物#13〜16は、pH4.0と比較してpH3.0での及びHPNOを含まないものと比較してHPNOとの組み合わせの、C8〜10N,N−ジメチルアミド及びC8グリセロールエステルの、過酸化水素を含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対する効果を評価する。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)のものである。
組成物#17〜20は、硝酸銀を含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対するC8〜10 N,N−ジメチルアミドの効果を評価するために作製され試験される。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、PA=Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15442、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)のものである。
組成物#21〜24は、チモールを含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対するC8〜10 N,N−ジメチルアミドの効果を評価するために作製され試験される。脱イオン水での1:30の希釈で1分間の曝露時間を使用してStaphylococcus aureus(ATCC 6538)に対して、殺菌剤噴霧試験の評価を実施する。
組成物#25〜26
ライノウィルスタイプ14(RV 14)−ATCC VR−284、ポリオウィルスタイプ1(PV 1)−ATCC VR−1562、及びネコカリシウィルス(FCV)−ATCC VR−782、の3つのノンエンベロープウィルスに対して評価する。周知の硬質表面のEPA殺ウィルス有効性試験を使用して、組成物の性能を測定する。要約すると、26平方センチメートル(4平方インチ)の領域に印をつけられた8つのガラス製ペトリ皿を0.4mLのチャレンジ微生物で植菌し、30分間乾燥する。次に、39〜52平方センチメートル(6〜8インチ)の距離から、AOAC硬水(400ppmのCaCO3)で1:20に事前に希釈された組成物#2及び#27のそれぞれを用いて、植菌された担体が完全に湿るまで噴霧する。担体は、5%血清有機負荷を含み、曝露時間は20±2℃で1分間である。
周知のAOAC殺菌剤噴霧試験結核菌殺菌方法を使用して、組成物#2及び#27のMycobacterium bovis(BCG)に対する有効性を評価する。Mycobacterium bovis(BCG)は、Organon Teknica Corporationから入手する。各担体の6平方センチメートル(1平方インチ)の領域を、0.01mLのチャレンジ微生物で植菌し、30分間乾燥する。接種材料は、5%血清有機負荷を含有する。400ppmのAOAC硬水を使用して、組成物#2及び#25を1:10(9部の希釈液に対して1部の組成物)に希釈する。次に、植菌した担体が完全に湿るまで噴霧する。2分間の曝露の後、次いで試験物質抗菌活性物質を中和し、任意の残存している試験生物を回収するために、特別に選択された液体継代培養培地へと担体を逐次移す。次に、担体を90日間培養し、目視で(形態)及び分析的に(染色試験)成長の存在の有無を調べる。結果は、成長を示す管(tubes)の数/管の合計数として表す。
周知の標準的な定量的ディスク担体試験方法を使用して、芽胞形状のClostridium difficile、すなわちATCC 43598に対する組成物#2及び#27の有効性を評価する。芽胞形状のClostridium difficileは、有機汚れ負荷(organic soil load)を含む。バクテリア芽胞の10μL膜を、艶消しされたステンレス鋼のディスクの表面上で乾燥する。植菌及び乾燥したディスクを定量的担体試験(QCT)バイアル瓶内に設置し、次に植菌した担体を覆うように50μLの組成物#2又は#27を適用する。10分間の曝露時間後、担体を中和し、残存物を定量的に分析する。結果を以下に示す。
組成物#28〜31は、カチオン性短鎖アミンオキシドを含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対する様々な短鎖アルキルN,N−ジメチルアミドの効果を評価するために作製され試験される。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)を使用して得る。
組成物#32〜35は、アニオン性短鎖アルキルスルフェートをpH2.5及びpH4.0で含む酸性組成物の抗菌活性に対するC6及びC8鎖長のN,N−ジメチルアミドの効果を評価するために作製され試験される。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)を使用して得る。
組成物#36〜38は、抗菌活性物質の濃度を上昇又は低下させることにより、本発明のアルキルN,N−ジメチルアミドにより達成される抗菌性強化を調整する能力を示すために作製され試験される。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)を使用して得る。
組成物#39〜40は、完全な殺傷有効性を依然として与えながら溶媒を組み込む能力を示すために作製され試験される。更に、組成物#40は、有機酸の選択に関する本発明の応用性を更に示すために、安息香酸を使用する。試験結果は、1分間の曝露時間(SA=Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538、TM=Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533)を使用して得る。
以下に示される組成物の臨界ミセル濃度を、pH2.5±0.2及び/又はpH4.0±0.2で測定する。Beckman−CoulterワークステーションモデルBiomek FXを使用して測定を行う。以下の完成組成物に対して測定を行い、結果は試験した完成組成物に対するものである。試験した全ての組成物は、本開示の組成物である。更に、全ての組成物は、約100ppm〜約2,500ppm、又は約150ppm〜約1,500ppmの臨界ミセル濃度を有する。CMC値は、過酸化水素の存在により、又はHPNOキレート剤の存在により、大きく影響されない。
Claims (14)
- 界面活性剤と、

式中、R1が、直鎖又は分岐状の飽和又は不飽和C6〜C12からなる群から選択され、R2及びR3のそれぞれが、H、OH、ハロゲン、あるいはC1〜C6直鎖又は分岐状の飽和又は不飽和ヒドロカルビル基から独立して選択される、式Iのアミドと、
水と、
を含む、組成物であって、前記組成物が、1.0〜6.0のpHを有し、
前記組成物中、抗菌活性物質である過酸化水素が、0.05重量%〜8重量%の濃度で存在する、組成物。 - 前記界面活性剤が、6〜12個の炭素原子を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、0.01重量%〜60重量%の前記界面活性剤と、0.01重量%〜40%重量の前記酸性化剤と、0.01重量%〜40重量%の前記式Iのアミドと、15重量%〜99.95重量%の前記水と、0.05重量%〜8重量%の過酸化水素と、を含む、請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、100ppm〜2,500ppmの臨界ミセル濃度を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記界面活性剤が、C8グリセリルエーテルスルホネート、C2〜C8直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホネート、C6〜C12アルキルスルフェート、C8〜C12メチルエステルスルホネート、C8〜C12脂肪酸スルホネート、C6〜C12アルキルエトキシカルボキシレート、C6〜C12アルキルエトキシスルフェート、C8~10ジメチルアミンオキシド、C8ピロリドン、C8ジメチルベタイン、C8~10アルキルポリグリコシド、C8~12 N,N−ジメチル−3−アンモニオ−1−プロパンスルホネート、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、0.03%〜25%の前記酸性化剤を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記酸性化剤が、ギ酸、酢酸、安息香酸、マロン酸、クエン酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、次亜塩素酸、コハク酸、グルコン酸、グルタル酸、乳酸、2−エチル−1−ヘキサン酸、ケイ皮酸、ヘプタン酸、オクタン酸、ノナン酸、過酢酸、過オクタン酸、ウンデシレン酸、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、0.03%〜25%の前記式Iのアミドを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記式Iのアミドが、N,N−ジメチルオクタンアミド、N,N−ジメチルデカンアミド、N,N−ジメチル9−デセンアミド、N,N−ジメチル7−オクテンアミド、オクタノヒドロキサム酸、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記式Iのアミドでは、R1が、直鎖又は分岐状の飽和又は不飽和C6〜C10ヒドロカルビル基からなる群から選択され、前記過酸化水素の前記式Iのアミドに対する重量比は0.2:1〜5:1である、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- さらに、1〜50ppmのC6~10脂肪過酸を含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、エタノール、イソプロパノール、C1〜C8モノエチレングリコールエーテル、C1〜C8ジエチレングリコールエーテル、C1〜C8トリエチレングリコールエーテル、C1〜C6モノプロピレングリコールエーテル、C1〜C6ジプロピレングリコールエーテル、C1〜C6トリプロピレングリコールエーテル、ギ酸のC1〜C6エステル、酢酸のC1〜C6エステル、安息香酸のC1〜C6エステル、乳酸のC1〜C6エステル、3−ヒドロキシ酪酸のC1〜C6エステル、C1〜C6アミン、C1〜C6アルカノールアミン、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される溶媒を含む、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含む物品であって、前記組成物が、噴霧ディスペンサ内、又は拭き取りシート若しくはパッド内に含まれる、物品。
- 表面を処理する方法であって、請求項1に記載の有効量の前記組成物を前記表面に適用し、任意に前記表面を拭き取る工程を含み、好ましくは、任意に前記表面を拭き取る前に、前記組成物が前記表面に30秒〜2分間接触する、方法。
