Description
The present invention relates to a reception support apparatus and a reception support method for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) data transmission apparatus.
An FPU (Field Pickup Unit) device is used for, for example, a road race relay where a transmission point is relayed while being moved. In such mobile transmission, an OFDM scheme that is resistant to the influence of multipath and fading is often used. In the case of mobile transmission, the direction of the receiving antenna may be adjusted in a direction at which the maximum value of the received electric field is obtained at the receiving point. The receiver has a function of outputting a beep sound according to the electric field value from a speaker or an earphone jack for the purpose of transmitting the state of the received electric field to an antenna operator.
In the continuous sound output type, the signal received by the receiver via the receiving antenna is converted to a voltage corresponding to the electric field value by a detector, and converted to a frequency which becomes a source of a beep sound by a voltage frequency converter (VFC). Then, the signal is amplified by an amplifier and output as sound.
FIG. 1 is a graph showing an example of signal conversion. FIG. 1A shows a state of a detection voltage in a stable propagation path, and FIG. 1B shows a VFC output at that time. On the other hand, FIG. 1C shows a state of a detection voltage on an unstable propagation path, and FIG. 1B shows a VFC output at that time. As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, when the received electric field is stable without a delayed wave, the output beep sound is a beautiful sound with little noise. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 1C and FIG. 1D, in an unstable propagation path, the influence of a received electric field increases due to the mixture of delayed waves and the like, and a time waveform serving as a sound source includes noise. The operator of the receiving antenna operates the receiving antenna in an appropriate direction by feeling the presence or absence of noise through the beeping sound in the state of the propagation path that changes sequentially.
A digital version of the above device has also been proposed. In such a device, the voltage of the detector is digitized by an A / D converter and passed to a reception electric field-to-frequency converter (detection level-to-frequency converter) realized by a CPU or an FPGA. The reception electric field to frequency converter outputs a pulse having a frequency corresponding to the reception electric field. Then, sound is output through a DA converter, an amplifier, and a speaker located at the subsequent stage. FIG. 2 shows an example of such digitized audio output. As shown in the figure, an intermittent audio output is obtained. Although this configuration is complicated, the configuration has a feature that a desired frequency can be output with respect to the received electric field.
Further, as another technique, a technique of a method of observing a delayed wave of OFDM transmission by digitization will be described (for example, see Patent Document 1). In this technique, taking an FPU device as an example, the carrier frequency RF is down-converted to an intermediate frequency IF. Further, the frequency is lowered by an IF / BB (baseband) converter to a frequency that can be sampled by the AD converter, and then digitized. The delay profile generation unit performs an operation for observing the correlation of the guard interval as shown in FIG. Finally, the delay profile generation unit outputs a waveform indicating the inclusion of a delayed wave as shown in the processing operation of FIG. The waveform is used for the reception support screen shown in FIG. 5 and provides an effective method for visually grasping the propagation path condition.
In general, the apparatus of the system shown in FIG. 1 is configured by analog components, and there has been a strong demand for digitization from the viewpoint of mounting area and power consumption. Further, since the frequency characteristics of the sound are also determined by the constituent elements and peripheral components, there is a problem that it is difficult to change the characteristics according to the user. In a digitized device, audio output is performed according to the detection voltage for a certain period of time.More specifically, since the received electric field value for a certain period of time is represented by an averaged value, a delay wave However, there is a problem that it is difficult to express a subtle change in the propagation state under the influence of the above.
In the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1, this delay profile information is used only as visual information, and cannot be used as voice information, and another technology is required.

The range in which the delay time is small is set close to the frequency corresponding to the reception electric field described above with reference to FIG. 7, and a high frequency is given to a delay wave that exceeds the guard interval and deteriorates the reception situation.

In general, OFDM transmission can be removed in principle if it is a delayed wave within the guard interval time, but all delayed waves beyond that are regarded as noise, thus deteriorating the transmission situation. Therefore, first, the
In the example of the delay wave profile described above with reference to FIG. 13, when there is a delay wave outside the guard interval having the same level as the main wave, a tone signal having the same amplitude is added. In the waveform example of FIG. 20, the detection level within the guard interval is 440 Hz (dashed line), and the outside of the guard interval is represented by 1 kHz (dotted line). By adding them, the propagation status is conveyed as a chord (thick line).
