Description
(処理装置および処理条件)
以下に、VOCとしてMEKを、25ppm、2.5ppm、0.25ppmをそれぞれ含有する排ガスを用い、流路2に通じて充填塔3に供給した。さらに、その際に、この流路2内にオゾンガスを所望する量、注入して、排ガスに混合させて、充填塔内でオゾンによる酸化分解処理を行った。充填塔3に充填した充填材の基材には、先述した形態の多孔質体である高シリカゼオライト製のダンボール構造を有するものを用いた。高シリカゼオライトとして、SiO2/Al2O3比が100の超安定Y型ゼオライト(USY)を用いた。
◎:出口のMEKの流過率及びオゾン流過率がいずれも5%未満である。
○:出口のMEKの流過率及びオゾン流過率がいずれも5%以上25%未満である。
△:出口のMEKの流過率及びオゾン流過率がいずれも25%以上50%未満である。
×:出口のMEKの流過率及びオゾン流過率がいずれも50%以上である。
試験条件1〜5に示したように、入口ガス量を、5000m3N/h〜250m3N/hまで変更すると、SV値は、60000〜3000[1/hr]程度に低下する。この場合、Sample−Aを充填材に用いた系では、表3−aに示したように、MEK流過率は、36%から1.2%に低下した。また、表3−bに示したように、Sample−Bを充填材に用いた系では、43%から1.4%に変化した。これに対し、何ら担持させていない超安定Y型ゼオライトを充填材に用いたSample−Cでは、表3−cに示したように、64.8%から5.4%に変化した。これらのことから、Co、MnおよびCuからなる複合酸化物の超微粒子を担持させた充填材(Sample−A)を用いた系が、最もよい分解性能を示し、Co酸化物の超微粒子を担持させた充填材(Sample−B)を用いた系がこれに続き、これらに比べてUSY(Sample−C)の性能はかなり低いことがわかった。
試験条件6〜9に示したように、入口オゾン濃度/入口MEK濃度(C1換算)比が1.3〜0.8の間で変更するように、オゾンの注入量を、0.27〜0.17kg/hの間で注入量を変更させて試験を行った。その結果、Sample−Aでは、表3−aに示したように、MEK流過率は、4%〜20%に上昇し、Sample−Bでは、4.8%〜24%に上昇した。これらのことから、入口オゾン濃度/入口MEK濃度(C1換算)比は、0.8超でも効果はあるが、好ましくは0.9、より好ましくは1.0を保持するようにオゾンの注入量を調整することが有効であり、C1換算のMEK濃度に対応して、入口オゾン濃度/入口MEK濃度(C1換算)比≧1.0となるオゾンの注入で、MEK流過率5%以下が達成できることが確認できた。ここでも、MEKに対する分解性能は、Sample−A、Sample−B、Sample−Cの順で、Sample−Cを充填材とした系では、表3−cに示したように、MEK流過率は、入口オゾン濃度/入口MEK濃度(C1換算)比率を1.0、さらに1.3にしたとしても、MEK流過率を10%以下にすることができなかった。これらのことからも、本発明で規定する、高シリカ吸着剤からなる基材に遷移金属含有酸化物の微粒子粉末を担持させたことによってもたらされる、VOCなどに対するオゾン分解性能の顕著な優位性が確認できた。
試験条件10〜12に示したように、入口MEK濃度(C1換算)を、100ppmから1ppmの間で変更して、MEK流過率が5%以下となる入口流量を調整した。Sample−Aを例にすると、表3−aに示したように、MEK濃度100ppmでは、MEK流過率5%以下を確保できる、入口流量は1000m3N/h程度(SV10000)である。ここでMEK濃度を10ppmに下げると、流過率5%以下を確保できる流量は2500m3N/h程度(SV≒25000[1/hr])となり、MEK濃度1ppmでは、入口ガス量5000m3N/h(SV≒50000[1/hr])でもMEK流過率5%以下が達成できる。これから判るように、MEKの入口濃度が下がると、より大きなSV値(少ない充填量)でMEK分解性能が達成できることが判る。表3−bに示したように、Sample−Bを担持させた充填材を用いた場合も、Sample−Aよりは若干劣るものの、上記とほぼ同様の良好な性能を示した。これに対し、Sample−Cを充填材とした系では、表3−cに示したように、MEK流過率を5%以下にすることは勿論、10%以下にすることもできなかった。これらのことからも、本発明で規定する、高シリカ吸着剤からなる基材に遷移金属含有酸化物の微粒子粉末を担持させたことによってもたらされる、MEKの分解性能の顕著な優位性が確認できた。
入口ガス量を、1000m3N/h、SV値は、12000[1/h]とし、使用する遷移金属含有酸化物の微粒子粉末を、先のMEKの処理で最も良好なオゾン分解性能を示した、Co、MnおよびCuからなる複合酸化物の微粒子粉末を担持させたSample−Aを充填材として充填し、注入オゾン濃度/VOC濃度(C1換算)比を1.2として、処理対象VOCをMEKから下記に挙げる(1)〜(9)の物質に替えて、オゾン酸化分解試験を行った。各VOC物質のガス濃度はC1換算値であり、括弧内の値は、使用したガス濃度である。
(2)シクロヘキサノン100ppm(C1換算値)、(16.6ppmのシクロヘキサノン使用)
(3)トルエン100ppm(C1換算値)、(14.3ppmのトルエン使用)
(4)スチレン100ppm(C1換算値)、(12.5ppmのスチレン使用)
(5)キシレン100ppm(C1換算値)、(12.5ppmのキシレン使用)
(6)アセトアルデヒド100ppm(C1換算値)、(50ppmのアセトアルデヒド使用)
(7)プロピオンアルデヒド50ppm(C1換算値)、(16.6ppmのプロピオンアルデヒド使用)
(8)プロピオン酸50ppm(C1換算値)、(16.6ppmのプロピオン酸使用)
(9)酢酸150ppm(C1換算値)、(75ppmの酢酸使用)
入口ガス量を、1000m3N/h、SV値は、12,000[1/h]とし、使用する遷移金属含有酸化物の微粒子粉末を、先のMEKの処理で最も良好なオゾン分解性能を示した、Co、MnおよびCuからなる複合酸化物の微粒子粉末を担持させたSample−Aを充填材として充填し、さらに、注入オゾン濃度/気相無機還元性化合物濃度比を2とし、処理対象を、下記に挙げる(11)〜(15)の悪臭物質に替えて、オゾン酸化分解試験を行った。

Claims (5)
- 処理対象成分として、VOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物を含有するガスにオゾンガスを添加・混合した後、前記処理対象成分とオゾンとを共吸着する高シリカ吸着剤を基材とする充填材と接触させ、前記VOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物をオゾン酸化によって分解処理する際に、前記充填材が、BET比表面積が80m2/g以上である遷移金属含有酸化物の微粒子粉末を前記基材に担持させたものであり、
前記遷移金属含有酸化物が、Co、MnおよびCuの複合酸化物であり、
前記VOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物が、メチルエチルケトン、アンモニア、メチルメルカプタン、硫化水素、硫化メチル、トリメチルアミン、アセトアルデヒド、プロピオンアルデヒド、ノルマルブチルアルデヒド、イソブチルアルデヒド、ノルマルバレルアルデヒド、イソバレルアルデヒド、イソブタノール、酢酸エチル、メチルイソブチルケトン、トルエン、スチレン、キシレン、シクロヘキサノン、プロピオン酸、酢酸、ノルマル酪酸、ノルマル吉草酸、イソ吉草酸および一酸化炭素からなる群から選ばれる少なくともいずれかであることを特徴とするガス中のVOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物のオゾン酸化分解処理方法。 - 前記遷移金属含有酸化物の微粒子粉末が、Co、Mn及びCuの金属塩の混合水溶液を、アルカリ水溶液と混合することにより共沈した沈殿物を用いて形成したものである請求項1に記載のガス中のVOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物のオゾン酸化分解処理方法。
- 前記VOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物を含有する排ガスをオゾンと混合させる際に、排ガスに注入したオゾン濃度と、排ガス中の前記VOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物濃度(C1換算)の濃度比が0.8超となるように構成する請求項1または2に記載のガス中のVOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物のオゾン酸化分解処理方法。
- 前記BET比表面積が100m2/g以上である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のガス中のVOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物のオゾン酸化分解処理方法。
- 前記高シリカ吸着剤が、高シリカペンタシルゼオライト、脱アルミニウムフォージャサイト及びメソポーラスシリケートからなる群から選ばれるいずれかの材料からなるものである請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のガス中のVOCおよび/または気相無機還元性化合物のオゾン酸化分解処理方法。
