Claims (5)
- シェルにより形成されたマフラ本体の内部空間が前記シェルの内面にフランジ部を密着させた仕切壁によって複数の室に仕切られたエンジン用マフラにおいて、
前記シェルの外面の前記仕切壁のフランジ部に対向する位置に、矩形板状の補強プレートの長手方向に沿って当該補強プレートの中央である一部が前記シェルを挟んで前記フランジ部に複数箇所で溶着されると共に、前記補強プレートの長手方向で見て当該補強プレートの両端側にある他部が前記シェルの外面と溶着されることで、前記補強プレートと前記シェルの外面との間に溶着されていない部分を設けることを特徴とするエンジン用マフラ。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジン用マフラであって、
前記マフラ本体は、プレスマフラであり、
前記プレスマフラであるシェルの外面の前記仕切壁のフランジ部に対向する位置を全て覆うように前記補強プレートを前記シェルの外面に複数箇所で溶着したことを特徴とするエンジン用マフラ。 - 請求項1または2に記載のエンジン用マフラであって、
前記補強プレートの長手方向の両側を前記シェルにスポット溶接にて予め複数箇所接合したことを特徴とするエンジン用マフラ。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のエンジン用マフラであって、
前記補強プレートを前記シェルを挟んで前記仕切壁のフランジ部とプラグ溶接にて複数箇所接合したことを特徴とするエンジン用マフラ。 - 請求項4に記載のエンジン用マフラであって、
前記補強プレートの中央の長手方向の部位と前記シェルの前記マフラ本体の長手方向に直交する方向の部位に複数の溶接用孔を相対向するうようにそれぞれ形成し、前記補強プレートの各溶接用孔と前記シェルの各溶接用孔を合わせた状態で、前記補強プレートの中央の部位を前記シェルを挟んで前記仕切壁のフランジ部とプラグ溶接にて複数箇所接合したことを特徴とするエンジン用マフラ。
