本発明に係る圧着端子の製造方法の実施形態の1つを図1から図11に基づいて説明する。

Claims (2)
- 相手側端子に対して電気的に接続される部位であり、2枚の対向する壁を有する端子接続部と、
内壁面側に載置された電線の端部に対して圧着加工によって電気的に接続される部位であり、前記圧着加工の際に前記電線の端部が載置される底部と、前記底部の一端から延在させ、前記電線の端部に巻き付ける第1バレル片部と、前記底部の他端から延在させ、前記電線の端部に巻き付ける第2バレル片部と、に区画された電線接続部と、
前記端子接続部と前記電線接続部とを連結させる部位であり、一方の前記壁と前記電線接続部における前記第1バレル片部とに連接する一方の側壁部、及び、他方の前記壁と前記電線接続部における前記第2バレル片部とに連接する他方の側壁部を有する連結部と、
を備えた圧着端子の製造方法であって、
後に前記端子接続部となる平板状の端子側板状部、後に前記電線接続部となる平板状の電線側板状部及び後に前記連結部となる平板状の連結側板状部を形成する工程と、
前記連結側板状部における後に一方の前記側壁部及び他方の前記側壁部となるそれぞれの所定部分に、前記端子側板状部側と前記電線側板状部側との間の引っ張り力によって延伸して当該引っ張り力を吸収する少なくとも1つの撓み形状の張力吸収部を形成する工程と、
前記端子側板状部の両端に対する折り曲げ加工によって2枚の前記壁を形成する工程と、
前記端子側板状部の一端に対する前記折り曲げ加工に引き摺られて、一方の前記壁と前記電線側板状部における前記第1バレル片部とに連接する前記連結側板状部の一端の前記張力吸収部を延伸させつつ前記引っ張り力を吸収しながら当該連結側板状部の一端を折り曲げて当該張力吸収部の撓みを解消させると共に、前記端子側板状部の他端に対する前記折り曲げ加工に引き摺られて、他方の前記壁と前記電線側板状部における前記第2バレル片部とに連接する前記連結側板状部の他端の前記張力吸収部を延伸させつつ前記引っ張り力を吸収しながら当該連結側板状部の他端を折り曲げて当該張力吸収部の撓みを解消させる工程と、
前記電線側板状部の両端に対する折り曲げ加工によって前記電線接続部における2枚の対向する前記第1バレル片部と前記第2バレル片部とを形成する工程と、
前記電線側板状部の両端に対する前記折り曲げ加工に引き摺られて、先の工程で前記張力吸収部が延伸させられて当該張力吸収部の撓みが解消された前記連結側板状部の両端を折り曲げることによって、2枚の対向する一方の前記側壁部と他方の前記側壁部とを形成する工程と、
を有することを特徴とした圧着端子の製造方法。 - 前記張力吸収部を形成する工程では、前記所定部分における内壁面側から外壁面側へと突出させた又は外壁面側から内壁面側へと突出させたビード状又はリブ状の前記撓み形状であり、前記所定部分における少なくとも一部の自由端から他方の前記所定部分に向けて延在させた前記張力吸収部を形成することを特徴とした請求項1に記載の圧着端子の製造方法。
