Description

The present invention is a case where the hood pivotally supported on the vehicle body is made of a resin that is lighter than that made of sheet metal, and when the pivotal support portion of the hood is damaged due to a vehicle collision, the hood can freely move with respect to the vehicle body. The present invention relates to a hood device in a vehicle to prevent.

Recently, a hood device in a vehicle has been proposed as shown in Patent Document 1 below. According to this publication, the hood device in the vehicle has a hollow closed cross-section structure by joining an outer panel and an inner panel facing each other, and a resin hood that can open and close an opening formed in the front part of the vehicle body. The front end of the hood is provided with a pair of left and right pivots for pivotally supporting the inner panel at the rear end of the hood on the vehicle body so that the opening can be opened and closed by forward and backward rotation.

Conventionally, a hood that is generally made of sheet metal is made of resin that is lighter than that made of sheet metal, so that the weight of the vehicle is mainly reduced.

By the way, the resin hood described above tends to have lower strength and toughness than those made of conventional sheet metal. Moreover, when an impact force at the time of a vehicle collision is applied to the hood, stress concentration tends to occur in the pivotal support portion of the hood to the vehicle body. For this reason, the pivot portion of the hood may be relatively easily damaged during a vehicle collision.

If the fulcrum of the hood is damaged as described above, the hood tends to move freely with respect to the vehicle body by releasing a part or all of the fulcrum to the vehicle body. As a result, when the vehicle collides, it is difficult to obtain deformation of the hood due to the impact force, and effective relaxation of the impact force based on this deformation cannot be expected. Further, a hood that freely moves with respect to the vehicle body may collide with an unexpected part of the vehicle body and damage it.

The present invention has been made paying attention to the above-described circumstances, and the object of the present invention is to make a vehicle collision when the hood pivotally supported on the vehicle body is made of resin in order to reduce the weight of the vehicle. Even if the pivot of the hood is sometimes broken, the hood is prevented from trying to move freely with respect to the vehicle body.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, a resin hood 14 that has a hollow closed cross-section structure by joining outer and inner panels 15, 16 facing each other and that can open and close an opening 11 formed in the vehicle body 2, A pair of pivots for pivotally supporting the inner panel 16 at the other end of the hood 14 on the vehicle body 2 so that the opening 11 can be opened and closed by the forward and backward rotations A and B at one end in the surface direction. In the hood apparatus in the vehicle provided with 19, 19,
A connecting member 33 is provided in the internal space 30 of the hood 14 and connects the pivotal supports 19 and 19 to each other.
The connecting member 33 is a hood device in a vehicle characterized in that the connecting member 33 is coupled to the hood side fixing portions of the pivot supports 19 and 19 .

In addition, in this section, the reference numerals and drawing numbers appended to the above terms are not intended to limit the technical scope of the present invention to the “Example” section and the contents of the drawings described later.

The effects of the present invention are as follows.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a resin hood having a hollow closed cross-sectional structure by joining an outer panel and an inner panel facing each other, and capable of opening and closing an opening formed in the vehicle body, and one end portion in the surface direction of the hood. In the hood device in the vehicle, which includes a pair of pivots that pivotally support the inner panel at the other end of the hood on the vehicle body so that the opening can be opened and closed by turning back and forth.
Provided in the internal space of the hood, provided with a connecting material for connecting the pivot support to each other;
This connecting material is coupled to the hood side fixing portion of the above-mentioned pivotal supports, and the following effects are produced.

That is, the impact force at the time of the collision of the vehicle is given to the hood, and the pivotal support portion by the pivotal support to the vehicle body in this hood is damaged, and a part or all of the pivotal support of the hood to the vehicle body is released. If this happens, this hood will try to move freely against the car body.

However, as described above, the connecting member that is arranged in the internal space of the hood and connects the two pivot supports together prevents at least the other end of the hood from attempting to move freely with respect to the vehicle body. To do. Therefore, the hood is deformed by the impact force, and the impact force is relieved based on the deformation. Further, the hood is prevented from colliding with an unpredictable portion of the vehicle body, and unnecessary damage to the vehicle body or the like at the time of the vehicle collision is prevented.

Moreover, although the said connection material was provided as a countermeasure against the free operation | movement of the hood at the time of the above-mentioned vehicle collision, since this connection material is arrange | positioned in the internal space of the said hood, the said connection material is from the exterior of this hood. It is prevented from being easily seen. Therefore, even when the connecting member is provided as a measure for preventing free movement of the hood as described above, the appearance of the vehicle body is maintained in good appearance.

On the other hand, as a measure for preventing the free movement of the hood at the time of a vehicle collision, for example, it is conceivable to increase the thickness of the inner panel of the hood as a whole. However, according to the above invention, it is not necessary to increase the overall thickness of the inner panel of the hood as described above. Therefore, the above-described free movement of the hood can be prevented while taking advantage of the weight reduction of the hood made of resin, which is extremely useful in practice.

It is a front part top view of a vehicle. FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged detail view of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a side partial sectional view taken along line III-III in FIG. 2.

In the vehicle hood device of the present invention, when the hood pivotally supported on the vehicle body is made of resin to reduce the weight of the vehicle, even if the pivot portion of the hood is damaged at the time of the vehicle collision, the hood In order to realize the object of preventing free movement with respect to the vehicle body, a form for carrying out the present invention is as follows.

That is, a hood device in a vehicle has a hollow closed cross-sectional structure by joining an outer panel and an inner panel facing each other, and a resin hood that can open and close an opening formed in a vehicle body, and one end portion in the surface direction of the hood. A pair of pivots for pivotally supporting the inner panel at the other end of the hood on the vehicle body so that the opening can be opened and closed by turning back and forth. A connecting member is provided in the inner space of the hood and connects the pivot supports to each other.

In order to explain the present invention in more detail, an embodiment thereof will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 is a vehicle exemplified by an automobile, and an arrow Fr indicates the front in the traveling direction of the vehicle 1. The interior of the rear part of the vehicle body 2 behind the front cowl 5 is a vehicle compartment 9. The front part of the vehicle body 2 sandwiched between the front cowl 5 and the left and right apron members 6 and 6 serves as an engine room 10. The engine room 10 opens above the vehicle body 2 through an opening 11 at the upper end. Is done.

A resin hood 14 is provided for closing the opening 11 of the engine room 10 from above. The hood 14 has a resin outer and inner panels 15 and 16 facing each other in the vertical direction, and the outer edges of the outer and inner panels 15 and 16 are joined to each other by an adhesive. Thereby, the hood 14 has a hollow closed cross-sectional structure, and has a sufficient rigidity while being lightweight.

A portion of the inner panel 16 at the rear end portion which is the other end portion of the hood 14 so that the front end portion where the one end portion in the surface direction of the hood 14 moves toward the upper side and the backward rotation A and B. A pair of left and right pivot supports 19, 19 that pivot the frame to the vehicle body 2 are provided. The opening 11 can be opened and closed by the forward and backward rotations A and B of the hood 14 around the pivot axis 20 of the pivot supports 19 and 19. When the hood 14 closes the opening 11 by the backward rotation B of the hood 14, a locking tool 21 is provided for automatically locking the front end of the hood 14 so as to be releasable with respect to the front end of the vehicle body 2. It is done.

Each pivotal support 19 is moved to the base 25 by a sheet metal base 25 coupled to the apron member 6 by a fastener 24 and a pivot 26 positioned on the pivotal axis 20. , The sheet metal rotation arm 27 pivotally supported so as to be able to rotate backwards A and B, and the inner panel 16 at the rear end of the hood 14 in cooperation with the rotation end of the rotation arm 27. A metal pressing plate 28 sandwiched from above and below, a rotating end portion of the rotating arm 27, a portion of the inner panel 16, and a pair of front and rear fasteners 29 and 29 for connecting the pressing plate 28 to each other are provided.

Each of the fasteners 29 is provided in the internal space 30 of the hood 14, and is connected to the upper surface of the presser plate 28 by welding, the rotating end of the rotating arm 27, and the inner panel 16. And a bolt 29b that penetrates the holding plate 28 from below the hood 14 and is screwed into the nut 29a.

In the above case, the pivot end of the pivot arm 27 is surface-bonded to the lower surface of the inner panel 16 portion, and the presser plate 28 is provided in the internal space 30 of the hood 14, Surface-bonded to the upper surface (inner surface) of The presser plate 28 is insert-processed on the upper surface of the inner panel 16 portion. The pressing plate 28 may be simply joined to the upper surface of the inner panel 16 portion.

A connecting member 33 is provided in the internal space 30 of the hood 14 and connects the left and right pivotal supports 19, 19 to each other. The connecting member 33 is formed of a wire, and the connecting member 33 is routed so as to extend in the width direction of the vehicle body 2 while being bent along the rear end edge of the internal space 30. Each end portion of the connecting member 33 is coupled to a holding plate 28 of each pivotal support 19 by a fastener 34, and the fastener 34 is disposed between the front and rear fasteners 29 and 29.

The hood 14 may be a hood or a luggage compartment trunk lid provided at the rear of the vehicle body 2. Further, the connecting member 33 may be another rope body such as a rope, or may be a flexible, elastic, or rigid rod-like member having a circular or rectangular cross section.

According to the above configuration, the connecting member 33 is disposed in the inner space 30 of the hood 14 having a hollow closed cross-section structure by joining the outer panel and the inner panels 15 and 16 facing each other, and connects the pivotal supports 19 and 19 to each other. The following effects are produced.

That is, the impact force at the time of the collision of the vehicle 1 is given to the hood 14, and temporarily, the pivotal support portion by the pivotal support 19 to the vehicle body 2 in the hood 14 is damaged, and the pivotal support of the hood 14 to the vehicle body 2 is broken. If a part or all of the hood 14 is released, the hood 14 tries to move freely with respect to the vehicle body 2.

However, as described above, the connecting member 33 that is arranged in the internal space 30 of the hood 14 and connects the pivot supports 19, 19 to each other is free from at least the other end of the hood 14 with respect to the vehicle body 2. Prevent trying to move. Accordingly, the hood 14 is deformed by the impact force, and the impact force is relieved based on the deformation. Further, the hood 14 is prevented from colliding with an unpredictable portion of the vehicle body 2, and unnecessary damage to the vehicle body 2 or the like at the time of the collision of the vehicle 1 is prevented.

Further, the connecting member 33 is provided as a measure for preventing the free movement of the hood 14 at the time of the collision of the vehicle 1 described above. However, since the connecting member 33 is disposed in the internal space 30 of the hood 14, the hood 14 is provided. It is possible to prevent the connecting member 33 from being easily seen from the outside. Therefore, even when the connecting member 33 is provided as a measure for preventing the free movement of the hood 14 as described above, the appearance of the vehicle body 2 is favorably maintained.

On the other hand, as a measure for preventing the free movement of the hood 14 at the time of the collision of the vehicle 1 described above, for example, it is conceivable to increase the thickness of the inner panel 16 of the hood 14 as a whole. However, according to the above configuration, it is not necessary to increase the thickness of the inner panel 16 of the hood 14 as a whole. Therefore, the above-described free movement of the hood 14 can be prevented while taking advantage of the weight reduction of the hood 14 made of resin, which is extremely useful in practice.
