Description
本実施形態の蓄電装置は、エンジンを有する機器側に電気的に接続される出力端子と、蓄電素子と、前記蓄電素子の充電量に応じた変動値を検出する検出部、および、制御部を有する監視装置と、前記出力端子と前記蓄電素子との間に設けられたリレーと、を備え、前記制御部は、前記検出部が検出した変動値が、前記エンジンを始動させるためのエンジン始動下限閾値に所定値を加えたオープン用閾値以下であるか否かを判断し、前記変動値が前記オープン用閾値以下であると判断した場合、前記リレーをクローズ状態からオープン状態にするオープン処理を実行する構成を有する。
一実施形態について図1〜図3を参照しつつ説明する。
バッテリ1は、組電池11、リレー12、及び、電池管理装置(Battery Management System 以下、BMSという)13、および、出力端子14を備える。組電池11は、蓄電素子の一例であり、複数のセルCが直列接続された構成であり、各セルCは、繰り返し充電可能な二次電池であり、具体的には、グラファイト系材料で形成された負極を有するリン酸鉄系リチウムイオン電池である。なお、図1および以下の説明では、組電池11は、4つのセルCを有するものとする。
制御部22は、組電池11からの電力供給を受けて、図2Aに示す電力制御処理を実行する。制御部22は、まずエンジン2が停止中であるかどうかを判断する(S1)。ここで、ECU4は、イグニションスイッチの位置がロック位置であるときにロック信号SG3、アクセサリー位置にあるときにアクセサリー信号SG4、イグニションオン位置にあるときにイグニションオン信号SG5、スタート位置にあるときにエンジン始動信号SG2をそれぞれ通信部24に送信する。
S1で、制御部22は、エンジン2が動作中であると判断した場合(S1:NO)、BMS13の電力消費状態を通常モードにする(S2)。具体的には、制御部22は、現在、既に通常モードである場合にそのまま通常モードを維持し、他のモードである場合に通常モードに切り替える。なお、通常モードでは、リレー12は、基本的にはクローズ状態になっている。
S1で、制御部22は、エンジン2が停止中であると判断した場合(S1:YES)、BMS13の電力消費状態をスリープモードにする(S7)。具体的には、制御部22は、現在、既にスリープモードである場合にそのままスリープモードを維持し、他のモードである場合にスリープモードに切り替える。また、スリープモードでもリレー12は、基本的にはクローズ状態になっている。これにより、組電池11から車載機器5等への電力供給が維持される一方、組電池11は、充電されず、自己放電、BMS13の電力消費、および、車載機器5等の電力消費あるいは暗電流により、SOCが低下していく。
本実施形態によれば、バッテリ1は、組電池11だけでなく、リレー12およびBMS13を内部に備え、BMS13が、リレー12の切り替え動作を制御する。従って、バッテリ1は、車両側のシステムに依存せずに独自に、バッテリ上がりになることを抑制することができる。また、リレー12がバッテリ1の内部ではなく、車両側に設けられた構成に比べて、バッテリ1と車両側のシステムとの通信エラー等によってリレー12が制御不能になることを抑制することができる。
本明細書で開示される技術は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような種々の態様も含まれる。
Claims (7)
- 蓄電装置であって、
エンジンを有する機器側に電気的に接続されて前記エンジンの始動用のスターターを含む車両側の負荷に電力を供給する出力端子と、
蓄電素子と、
前記蓄電素子の充電量に応じて変動する変動値を検出する検出部、および、制御部を有する監視装置と、
前記出力端子と前記蓄電素子との間に設けられたリレーと、を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記検出部が検出した変動値が、前記エンジンを始動させるためのエンジン始動下限閾値に所定値を加えたオープン用閾値以下であるか否かを判断し、前記変動値が前記オープン用閾値以下であると判断した場合、前記リレーをクローズ状態からオープン状態にするオープン処理を実行する構成を有する、蓄電装置。 - 請求項1に記載の蓄電装置であって、
前記制御部は、
前記監視装置が前記蓄電素子からの電力を消費する電力消費状態を、前記蓄電素子を監視するときの第1電力消費状態と、当該第1電力消費状態よりも消費電力が少ない第2電力消費状態とに切り替える電力切替機能を有し、
前記検出部が検出した前記変動値が電力低減用閾値以下であるか否かを判断し、前記変動値が前記電力低減用閾値以下であると判断した場合、前記電力消費状態を、前記第1電力消費状態から前記第2電力消費状態に切り替える電力低減処理を実行する構成を有する、蓄電装置。 - 請求項2に記載の蓄電装置であって、
外部からの入力に基づく復帰指示を受け付ける受付部を有し、
前記制御部は、前記受付部が前記復帰指示を受け付けたことに基づき、前記電力消費状態を前記第2電力消費状態から前記第1電力消費状態に復帰させる復帰処理を実行する構成を有する、蓄電装置。 - 請求項3に記載の蓄電装置であって、
前記制御部は、
前記復帰指示に基づき前記第1電力消費状態に復帰した場合、前記リレーを前記オープン状態から前記クローズ状態に復帰させるクローズ処理を実行する構成を有する、蓄電装置。 - 請求項4に記載の蓄電装置であって、
前記制御部は、
前記クローズ状態に復帰した時点からクローズ基準時間経過するまでに前記エンジンが始動されるかを判断し、前記エンジンが始動されないと判断した場合、前記リレーを再度オープン状態にする再オープン処理を実行する構成を有する、蓄電装置。 - 請求項3から5のいずれか一項に記載の蓄電装置であって、
前記制御部は、
前記電力消費状態が前記第1電力消費状態に復帰した時点から電力基準時間経過するまでに前記エンジンが始動されるかを判断し、前記エンジンが始動されないと判断した場合、前記電力消費状態を再度、前記第2電力消費状態に切り替える再低減処理を実行する構成を有する、蓄電装置。 - 請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の蓄電装置であって、
前記制御部は、
前記検出部が検出した変動値に基づき、前記蓄電素子の電圧が過充電用閾値を超えるか否かを判断し、前記蓄電素子の電圧が前記過充電用閾値を超える場合、前記リレーを前記クローズ状態から前記オープン状態に切り替える過充電保護処理を実行する構成を有する、蓄電装置。
