Claims (4)
- 球形状のボール部と軸状の軸部とを有するボールスタッドと、
前記ボール部を回動自在に保持するホルダと、
を備えるボールジョイントであって、
前記ボール部と前記軸部とが溶接された溶接部に、切削加工が施された加工面を有し、
前記加工面は、曲線形状の第一コーナー部を有し、
前記ボールスタッドの前記軸部は、円錐台形状の円錐台形状部と、鍔状のフランジ部と、前記円錐台形状部と前記フランジ部との間に形成される凹部と、を備え、
前記円錐台形状部と前記凹部とは、曲線形状の第二コーナー部を有して接続され、さらに、
前記第一コーナー部の曲率半径が、前記第二コーナー部の曲率半径よりも大きく形成されることを特徴とするボールジョイント。 - 球形状のボール部と軸状の軸部とを有するボールスタッドと、
前記ボール部を回動自在に保持するホルダと、
を備えるボールジョイントであって、
前記ボール部と前記軸部とが溶接された溶接部に、切削加工が施された加工面を有し、
前記加工面は、曲線形状の第一コーナー部を有し、
前記ボール部と前記軸部とが溶接された前記溶接部の中央部位の金属組織が、結晶粒界に微細なパーライトが析出した様相を呈するものであることを特徴とするボールジョイント。 - 請求項1又は2に記載のボールジョイントにおいて、
前記第一コーナー部は、少なくとも一部が前記ボール部に配置されることを特徴とするボールジョイント。 - 球形状のボール部と軸状の軸部とを有するボールスタッドと、前記ボール部を回動自在に保持するホルダと、を備えるボールジョイントの製造方法において、
前記ボール部と前記軸部とを溶接する溶接工程と、
前記ボール部と前記軸部が溶接された溶接部に切削加工を施すことで加工面を形成する切削加工工程と、
を含み、
前記切削加工工程は、前記加工面に対して曲線形状の第一コーナー部を形成する工程を含む処理を実行し、
前記溶接工程は、前記ボール部と前記軸部とが溶接された前記溶接部の中央部位において、溶接後の冷却を緩慢にすることで金属組織の結晶粒界に微細なパーライトを析出させる処理を実行することを特徴とするボールジョイントの製造方法。
