(第一実施形態)
図1に示す水素分離膜モジュール(以下、単に「モジュール」という。)10は、水素を含有する被処理ガスから水素を分離するためのものである。モジュール10は、水素が選択的に透過する円筒状の水素分離膜1と、水素分離膜1を収容するケーシング5と、水素分離膜1の内側に配設された内挿部材8とを備える。なお、ケーシング5及び内挿部材8の材質としては、ステンレス鋼やインコネル(登録商標)、ハステロイ(登録商標)などが挙げられる。
図2に示すモジュール20は、水素が選択的に透過する円筒状の水素分離膜1と、水素分離膜1を収容するケーシング5と、水素分離膜1の内側に配設された内挿部材18とを備える。モジュール20は、内挿部材8の代わりに、以下の構成の内挿部材18を備える点において、上述のモジュール10と相違する。以下、この相違点をなす内挿部材18について主に説明する。
次に、本発明に係る水素分離膜モジュールを用いた水素分離方法について説明する。ここでは、第一実施形態に係るモジュール10を用いた水素分離方法を例示するが、モジュール20を用いても同様に実施することができる。
図2に示すモジュール20と同様の構成を有するモジュールを作製し、水素分離試験を行った。モジュールのサイズ及び評価条件は、実施例1と同様とした(表1,2参照)。
図5に示すモジュール50と同様の構成を有するモジュールを作製し、水素分離試験を行った。図5に示すモジュール50は、内挿部材8が水素分離膜1の内側に配設されていない点において、図1に示すモジュール10と相違する。モジュールのサイズ(内筒管を除く)及び評価条件は、実施例1と同様とした(表1,2参照)。
Claims (3)
- 水素を含有する被処理ガスから水素を分離する水素分離膜モジュールであって、
水素が選択的に透過する筒状の水素分離膜と、
前記水素分離膜を収容するケーシングと、
前記水素分離膜の内側に配設されており、前記水素分離膜の内面とともに前記被処理ガスの流路を画成する外面を有する内挿部材と、
前記水素分離膜の内側に前記被処理ガスを供給するためのガス供給口と、
前記水素分離膜を透過しない非透過ガスを前記流路の下流側から排出するためのガス排出口と、
前記ケーシングに設けられており前記水素分離膜を透過した水素を排出するための水素排出口と、
を備え、
前記筒状の水素分離膜は、緻密膜と、前記緻密膜を支持する多孔体とを有し、
前記水素分離膜において、前記多孔体は透過した水素と接する側のみに設けられており、
前記内挿部材は、前記ガス供給口と前記ガス排出口を隔てるガス供給管と、前記ガス供給管の外径よりも大きい外径を有する内筒管とを有し、
前記被処理ガスの前記流路は、前記内筒管の外面と前記水素分離膜の内面とによって画成されており、前記内筒管の外面と前記水素分離膜の内面の離間距離は1〜30mmである、水素分離膜モジュール。 - 前記筒状の水素分離膜は一方の端部の開口が閉鎖板によって閉鎖されており、前記内挿部材の前記外面が前記閉鎖板の近傍にまで延在している、請求項1に記載の水素分離膜モジュール。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の水素分離膜モジュールを用いた水素分離方法であり、前記筒状の水素分離膜の内面と前記内挿部材の外面とによって画成される流路に前記被処理ガスを供給し、前記被処理ガスに含まれる水素を前記筒状の水素分離膜の内側から外側へと透過させる水素分離方法。
