Claims (3)
- シリンダ内を上下動するピストンと、前記シリンダのヘッド部内面と前記ピストンの上面との間に形成されて噴射燃料を導入し燃焼させる燃焼室と、該燃焼室内に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射器と、前記燃焼室内に連通する燃焼用空気の吸気流路を開閉する吸気弁と、前記燃焼室内に連通する燃焼ガスの排気流路を開閉する排気弁と、を備えて、
運転領域の少なくとも一部領域で前記燃焼室内に導入した噴射燃料の圧縮自着火燃焼を行なわせる内燃機関であって、
前記燃焼室の1つに対して前記吸気弁が複数配置されて、前記燃焼室内に導入した噴射燃料の圧縮自着火燃焼を行なわせる時に、当該吸気弁毎の開口量に差を付けるように調整されており、
前記ピストンは、前記吸気流路から吸入する前記燃焼用空気を流入させるように上面に形成するキャビティに、前記開口量の大きな前記吸気弁側に前記開口量の小さな前記吸気弁側よりも大きな流入空間が形成されて、
前記燃料噴射器は、前記燃焼室内に導入した噴射燃料の圧縮自着火燃焼を行なわせる時に、前記開口量の小さな前記吸気弁側よりも多くの燃料を前記開口量の大きな前記吸気弁側に噴射するように燃料噴射量が設定され、
前記開口量の小さな前記吸気弁側における噴射口数と前記開口量の大きな前記吸気弁側における噴射口数とが同じ場合に、前記開口量の小さな前記吸気弁側における各噴射口間の角度よりも前記開口量の大きな前記吸気弁側における噴射口間の角度が大きくされていることを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 前記燃料噴射器は、前記燃焼室内に導入した噴射燃料ガスの圧縮期間の行程後半で燃料を再度噴射するように制御されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記燃焼室内の排気期間と吸気期間との間に前記吸気弁および前記排気弁の双方を閉じる密閉期間を確保して前記圧縮自着火燃焼を行なわせることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関。
