Description
まず、添付図面を参照すれば、マルチスポット/マルチファイバーレーザープローブ100が図1に示されている。後程詳述するように、レーザープローブ100は、なんらの回折光学素子をも必要としていない。レーザー光源105は、適切な相互接続装置を通してプローブ100にレーザー光を送る。レーザー光源105用の一般的な標準化された相互接続装置は、SMA(Subminiature version A)アダプターである。従って、レーザー光源105は、メスSMAアダプター110を含む。但し、レーザー光源の相互接続装置が、レーザープローブからのオスコネクタの近位端部に、レーザーウエスト115などの集束されたビームスポットを与える限り、レーザープローブ100は、従来の標準的な光学相互接続装置と、容易に結合するようにできることを、理解されたい。従って、以下の説明においては、レーザープローブ100が、一般性を損なうことなしに、カスタマイズされたSMAアダプター120を介して供給源105に結合しているものと、仮定している。
単一のファイバーが単一のレーザービームを搬送することになるため、必要とされる複数のレーザービームを生成して複数のレーザー焼灼スポットを同時に実現するために、回折ビームスプリッタが設けられる。回折ビームスプリッタ内への集光力を生成する必要性を回避するために、図6のレーザープローブ600は、コリメートGRINレンズ605を含み、このコリメートGRINレンズ605の近位端部は、プローブ600のカニューレ615内において単一のグラスファイバー610の遠位端部と当接している。センタリングシリンダ620がファイバー610の周囲を取り囲み、カニューレ内において芯合わせされた状態にファイバーを維持している。GRINレンズ605は、平行レーザービーム波面を回折ビームスプリッタ630に対して提示する。一実施形態においては、スプリッタ630は、図3との関連において同様に説明したように、カニューレ615の遠位端部から4mmの距離において集束される11度だけ角度が離れた5つの回折及びコリメートされたビームを生成するように構成されている。プローブ600の組立は、ファイバー610とそのセンタリングシリンダ620がカニューレ内において遠位において引き戻されるという点において、有利である。次に、その外側表面に塗布された光学接着剤を有するGRINレンズ605が、ファイバー610及びシリンダ620の遠位端部に当接する時点まで、カニューレのボア内に押し込まれ、これに、続いて、こちらもその側壁上に光学接着剤を有するスプリッタ630が挿入される。次に、ファイバー610及びシリンダ620を、カニューレのボア内において遠位において変位させて、スプリッタ630の遠位端部をカニューレ615の遠位端部と芯合わせさせてもよく、芯合わせしたら、接着剤を硬化させる。更に、ファイバー610とGRINレンズ605の接合部において、並びに、レンズ605とスプリッタ630の間において、屈折率整合接着剤を利用してフレスネル反射損失を除去してもよい。
Claims (5)
- 第1のアダプターであって、レーザー光源の対向する第2のアダプターと接続するように操作可能な第1のアダプターと、
前記第1のアダプター内の第1のGRINレンズであって、前記レーザー光源からのレーザービームを、前記GRINレンズの近位端部において受光し、前記受光したレーザービームを、前記GRINレンズの遠位端部に向かって平行波面として中継するように構成され、前記第1のGRINレンズは、前記第1のアダプター内に、前記第1のアダプターが前記第2のアダプターと接続されたときに前記レーザー光源からのレーザービームを第1の集束ビームスポットで受光する位置に、配置されている、第1のGRINレンズと、
前記GRINレンズの前記遠位端部に隣接した前記第1のアダプター内の回折ビームスプリッタであって、前記平行波面を受光して複数の回折ビームを供給するように構成された、回折ビームスプリッタと、
前記回折ビームスプリッタの遠位端部に隣接した前記第1のアダプター内の、第2のGRINレンズと、
複数の光ファイバーの配列であって、前記第2のGRINレンズが、前記回折ビームスプリッタからの前記回折ビームを、前記配列の近位端部面上に集束させるように操作可能である、複数の光ファイバーの配列と、
を有する、眼科用のレーザープローブ。 - 前記第2のGRINレンズからの集束された回折ビームの各々が、前記配列内の前記複数の光ファイバーのそれぞれに芯合わせされる、請求項1に記載のレーザープローブ。
- 前記第1のアダプターが、第3のアダプターと接続するように操作可能であり、前記複数の光ファイバーの配列が、前記第3のアダプター内に位置する、請求項1に記載のレーザープローブ。
- 前記第1の、第2の、及び第3のアダプターが、SMAアダプターである、請求項3に記載のレーザープローブ。
- 光凝固術による治療用にレーザー光源からのビームを複数のレーザービームに分割する方法であって、
前記レーザー光源からの前記レーザービームを、GRINレンズを通して回折ビームスプリッタ上に集束させるステップであって、前記GRINレンズと前記回折ビームスプリッタとが、レーザープローブカニューレ内において連続的に配列されている、ステップと、
前記GRINレンズと前記回折ビームスプリッタとの間のギャップサイズを調節し、前記回折ビームスプリッタから得られる複数の回折ビームの集束スポットサイズを調節するステップと、
を有する、方法。
