Claims (3)
- 車両に搭載されるエアバッグ装置用のガス発生器において、
前記車両の衝撃によって作動するイニシエータ(点火器)と;
前記イニシエータによって点火される発火剤と;
前記イニシエータを取り囲むように前記発火剤が収容される発火剤収容室と;
点火された前記発火剤の火炎によって着火され、燃焼するガス発生剤と;
前記ガス発生剤を収容する燃焼室とを備え、
前記ガス発生剤の燃焼によって発生するガスによってエアバッグを膨張させる構造であり、
前記発火剤は前記発火剤収容室内の容積に対して30%〜50%であり、当該発火剤収容室の残りは前記発火剤が充填されない空間であることを特徴とするガス発生器。 - 前記発火剤収容室の周壁には、前記燃焼室内の前記ガス発生剤を燃焼させる元となる前記火炎の流路としての貫通孔が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガス発生器。
- 請求項1又は2に記載のガス発生器と;
当該ガス発生器によって発生したガスによって膨張・展開するエアバッグとを備えたことを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。
