Description
The present invention relates to a printed circuit board drilling machine configured to process a workpiece in a state where the workpiece is pressurized by a pressure foot (substrate pressing) disposed at the tip of a spindle unit having a rotatable spindle at the center.
When processing a printed circuit board, the efficiency is improved by laminating a plurality of printed circuit boards and processing a plurality of printed circuit boards simultaneously. In order to prevent burrs from occurring at the entrance of the processed hole, an upper plate is usually disposed on the uppermost layer of the laminated printed circuit board. Hereinafter, the printed board and the upper plate are collectively referred to as a printed board. In many cases, the board thickness of the printed board is not uniform, and a gap may be generated in the vertical direction of the laminated printed board. In such a case, the printed board may move up and down as the drill is cut and the drill may break. Accordingly, the periphery of the processed portion of the printed board is previously pressed by the pressure foot, and the drill is cut while the printed board is pressed against the table.
In addition, a space formed by the pressure foot and the spindle unit (hereinafter referred to as “pressure foot internal space”) is connected to a dust collector, and a hole (hereinafter referred to as “drill”) through which a drill provided in the pressure foot is passed. It is taken in from the “use hole”), and the chips generated by the processing are collected from the printed circuit board. In the case of a printed circuit board drilling machine, the processing tact is short, so the dust collector is always operated while the printed circuit board is processed.
If the distance between the pressure foot and the printed board when moving the drill to the next processing position is reduced, the so-called air cut time is shortened, and the processing efficiency can be improved. However, when the pressure foot is brought close to the printed circuit board, the upper plate is lifted by the suction force of the dust collector, and the drill hole that also serves as the air inlet is closed, so that the discharge of chips becomes insufficient.
Therefore, a printed circuit board drilling machine that utilizes the relative movement of the pressure foot and the spindle unit when pressurizing the workpiece has been proposed (Patent Document 1). In other words, a vent hole that connects the pressure foot inner space and the outside air is provided on the side of the pressure foot that faces the spindle unit only when machining the workpiece, and the pressure foot inner space is cut off from the outside air during machining. When moving to the next processing position, the pressure foot space is connected to the outside air.
The diameter of the hole processed by a printed circuit board drilling machine is usually 0.1 to 6.4 mm. However, in order to facilitate positioning in the height direction of the spindle, the distance from the spindle tip to the tip of the drill (cutting edge) ( Hereinafter, the “drill protruding length” is set to a constant value (for example, 25 mm) regardless of the nominal diameter of the drill. Therefore, by adopting the technique of
In the case of a small-diameter drill, the machining accuracy may decrease due to the tip of the drill rotating at high speed. In such a case, if the drill protrusion length is shortened (for example, 15 mm), the processing accuracy can be improved. In the following, the processing for setting the drill protrusion length to the conventional length is referred to as “normal processing”, and the case where the drill protrusion length is shortened is referred to as “high precision processing”. When performing high-precision machining, the drill protrusion length is shortened by lowering the attachment position of the spindle unit with respect to the holder that holds the spindle unit below the attachment position of the spindle unit in normal machining.

An object of the present invention is to provide a printed circuit board drilling machine capable of solving the above-described problems, reducing the amount of air cut in both normal processing and high-precision processing, and improving the processing efficiency.
In order to solve the above-described problems, the present invention provides a spindle unit that is held by a holder and holds a tool rotatably, and is supported by the holder so as to be slidable in the axial direction of the tool so as to cover a tip of the spindle unit. And a pressure foot that fits into the spindle unit, and a side surface of the pressure foot is provided with a vent hole that allows the space formed by the pressure foot and the spindle unit to communicate with the outside air, and In the printed circuit board drilling machine, wherein the space is connected to a negative pressure source, the workpiece is pressurized with the pressure foot, and the workpiece is processed with the tool in a state where the ventilation hole is closed, Of course, when the tip of the pressure foot is not in contact with the workpiece, the spindle unit Vent pores are blocked by the spindle unit even when most the even if it is positioned to the work side, the tip of the tool held on the spindle unit is in contact with the upper surface of the workpiece with respect to The pressure foot is disposed at a position where the pressure foot is not in contact, and when the tip end of the pressure foot is not in contact with the workpiece, one end of the pressure foot is opened from the lower end of the vent hole that opens to the outer surface of the pressure foot. Provided is a plate-like shutter that is positioned upward by a distance equal to the distance from the tip of the pressure foot to the tip of the tool when the tip of the foot is not in contact with the workpiece, and the other end is fixed to the holder When the tip of the tool comes into contact with the upper surface of the workpiece, the air hole is blocked by the shutter, Characterized by blocking the space from the outside air.
In both normal machining and high-precision machining, the pressure foot space can be in a negative pressure state during the workpiece machining period, preventing the workpiece from lifting when the spindle unit is lifted and moved horizontally. Therefore, the processing efficiency can be improved. Moreover, since the device structure is simple, the running cost can be reduced.

In the illustrated case, the
The
Next, the operation of the present invention will be described.
When the
The
After the processing is completed and the tip of the
The distance Ln in normal machining is larger than the distance Lk in high-precision machining, but even in that case, the position of the holder 2 does not change and only the position of the
The
In the above example, m ≧ h is preferable for the following reason.
1. As described above, h is about 2 mm or less, and processing becomes difficult when h becomes small.
2. In order to improve the airtight performance of the
Therefore, if such a problem does not occur and a sufficient cross-sectional area can be secured, m <h may be satisfied.
FIG. 4 is a diagram showing a modification of the present invention. As described above, the
