Description
前記ろ過構造は、NOxを還元するのに適する少なくとも1種の貴金属又は遷移金属及び担体材料を含む触媒系を含み、前記担体材料は三価カチオンM3+又は二価カチオンM’2+によって部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムを含み又は該酸化ジルコニウムから作られており、前記酸化ジルコニウムは還元された酸素化学量論未満状態であることを特徴とする。
前記粉末はカチオンM又はM’によって部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムの粒子を含み、該粒子はPt、Pd、Rh、Ag、又はAuタイプの貴金属を含まず、遷移金属、特に、Cu、Fe、Ni又はCoを含まず、前記置換された酸化ジルコニウムは還元された酸素化学量論未満状態であり、式(ZrO2-x)1-y(M2O3-x)y(式中、Mは価数3のカチオンであり、好ましくはY3+、Sc3+、又は希土類元素からなる群より選択され、そしてyは0よりも厳格に大きくかつ2よりも厳格に小さい)を満たすか、又は、式(ZrO2-x)1-y’(M’O1-x)y’(式中、M’は価数2のカチオンであり、好ましくはCa2+及びSr2+からなる群より選択され、そしてy’は0よりも厳格に大きくかつ2よりも厳格に小さい)を満たし、ここで、上式中、xは0.5未満であり、好ましくは0.1未満であり、そして非常に好ましくは0.05未満である。

・担体材料が、NOxトラップとして作用する触媒系を導入することにより、有利なことに、開発された触媒表面の汚染物に対するアクセス性を大きく増加させることが可能であり、結果として、反応性種間の接触及び交換の可能性も増大することが可能である。
・本発明により形成された担体材料はまた、アルミナタイプの担体材料と比較して非常に高い熱安定性を有し、特に、担体材料の酸素欠損部と接触している堆積金属触媒粒子の耐焼成性がより良好なために非常に高い熱安定性を有する。
・本発明により形成された担体材料は従来の解決策と比較して、燃料リッチ媒体中での再活性化が高レベルである。
・担体上に堆積させなければならない系構成成分の数が限定されており、それにより、触媒が担体上に堆積される条件に対する系の性能の依存性が大きく減じられる。
・担体材料上の金属触媒の触媒効率がより高くそして金属触媒の分散性がより良好であることであり、このことはNOx貯蔵に有用な追加の物質が無いために達成されうる。
・本発明に係る触媒系はバリウムを含まないので、処理されるガス中における硫黄酸化物(SOx)の存在に対する感受性がずっと低い。
この第一の例によると、再結晶化された炭化ケイ素(SiC)から作られた筒型ハニカムモノリスを、当該技術分野において既によく知られている従来の技術、たとえば特許出願EP 1 142 619 A1号明細書に記載されている従来の技術を用いて合成した。まず、純度が98%を超える炭化ケイ素粒子のブレンドを、特許出願WO1994/22556号明細書に記載されるR−SiC構造の製造方法によりミキサー中で製造した。メジアン粒子直径が10ミクロンを超える粗SiC粒子分率(75wt%)と、メジアン粒子サイズが1ミクロン未満である微細粒子サイズ分率(25wt%)とからブレンドを得た。本明細書においては、メジアン直径はその粒子直径よりも下に群の50質量%が存在する粒子直径を意味する。SiC粒子の部分に、その合計質量に対して、7wt%のポリエチレンタイプの細孔形成剤及び5wt%のセルロース誘導体タイプの有機バインダーを添加した。
例1に関して上述した実験手順を例2において全体として繰り返したが、この第二のシリーズのモノリスは担持触媒で含浸した後に、純粋H2中で600℃で1時間、追加の還元処理を受けた。
実施した分析は、置換され還元されたジルコニアが、式(ZrO2-x)1-y(M2O3-x)y(式中、yは約0.08であり、xは0.02付近である)に実質的に対応していたことを示している。
Claims (11)
- 窒素酸化物NOxタイプのガス汚染物及び固体粒子を含んだディーゼルエンジンから出てくるガスをろ過するためのパティキュレートフィルタータイプのろ過構造で、該構造は多孔性無機材料を含む多孔性ろ過壁により分離された互いに平行な軸の長手方向隣接チャンネルの配列を含み、前記チャンネルはろ過されるNOxを含むガスのインレットチャンネル及びアウトレットチャンネルを画定し、インレットチャンネルをアウトレットチャンネルから分離する多孔性ろ過壁を通して前記ガスを通過させるように構造の一端又は他端で交互に閉塞されている、ろ過構造であって、
前記ろ過構造が、NOxを還元する少なくとも1種の貴金属又は遷移金属及び担体材料を含む触媒系を含み、
前記担体材料が、式(I):
式(ZrO2-x)1-y(M2O3-x)y (I)
(式中、MはY3+、Sc3+、又は価数3の希土類元素のカチオンであり、xは0.005よりも大きくかつ0.5未満であり、そしてyは0よりも大きくかつ0.5以下である)、または
式(II):
式(ZrO2-x)1-y’(M’O1-x)y’ (II)
(式中、M’はCa2+またはSr2+であり、xは0.005よりも大きくかつ0.5未満であり、そしてy’は0よりも大きくかつ0.6よりも小さい)
で表される部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムを含む、
ろ過構造。 - 前記ガスが、炭化水素、CO、またはH2をさらに含み、前記触媒系が、炭化水素、CO、又はH2を酸化する、請求項1に記載のろ過構造。
- 前記担体材料が、式(I)で表される部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のろ過構造。
- 前記担体材料が、式(II)で表される部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムを含む、請求項1又2に記載のろ過構造。
- xは0.1未満である、請求項3または4に記載のろ過構造。
- 前記担体材料は、比表面積が少なくとも5m2/gである、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のろ過構造。
- 前記触媒系が、Pt、Pd、Rh、Ag、及びAuからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の貴金属、Cu、Fe、Ni、及びCoからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の遷移金属、並びに/またはMn2O3及びCo3O4からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の遷移金属酸化物を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のろ過構造。
- 前記構造が、炭化ケイ素(SiC)、コージエライト、またはチタン酸アルミニウムから作られている、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のろ過構造。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のろ過構造において担体材料として使用される粉末であって、
前記粉末は、
式(I):
式(ZrO2-x)1-y(M2O3-x)y (I)
(式中、Mは、Y3+、Sc3+、又は価数3の希土類元素のカチオンであり、xは0.005よりも大きくかつ0.5未満であり、そしてyは0よりも大きくかつ0.5以下である)、又は、
式(II):
式(ZrO2-x)1-y’(M’O1-x)y’ (II)
(式中、M’はCa2+ またはSr2+であり、xは0.005よりも大きくかつ0.5未満であり、そしてy’は0よりも大きくかつ0.6よりも小さい)で表される部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムの粒子を含み、該粒子がPt、Pd、Rh、Ag、又はAuの貴金属、及び遷移金属を含まない、粉末。 - 前記部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムの還元状態が、還元性雰囲気中で400℃を超える温度にて熱処理することにより得られる、請求項9に記載の粉末を得るための方法。
- 前記部分的に置換された酸化ジルコニウムの還元状態が、前記材料に対してバイアス電圧又は電流を印加することによって前記材料にバイアスをかけることからなる電気化学処理により得られる、請求項9に記載の粉末を得るための方法。
