Description
(a)ジルコニウム化合物およびセリウム化合物を含む水性混合物を形成するステップ;
(b)このように形成された混合物を少なくとも100℃の温度に加熱し、その結果として、反応媒体中に懸濁された沈殿物を得るステップ;
(c)加熱後に得られた反応媒体を塩基性pHにするステップ;
(d)アニオン性界面活性剤、非イオン性界面活性剤、ポリエチレングリコール、カルボン酸およびこの塩、ならびにカルボキシメチル化脂肪アルコールエトキシラートタイプの界面活性剤から選ばれる添加剤を最初に、前段ステップから得られる媒体に加え、その後、前記沈殿物を分離するステップ;
(d’)または前記沈殿物を最初に、ステップ(c)から得られる媒体から分離し、その後、前記添加剤を前記沈殿物に加えるステップ;
(e)このように得られた沈殿物の第1の焼成を少なくとも900℃の温度で不活性ガス下または真空下において行い、その後、少なくとも600℃の温度での酸化性雰囲気下における第2の焼成を行うステップ。
R1−O−(CR2R3−CR4R5−O)n−CH2−COOH
式中、R1は飽和または不飽和の炭素型鎖を示し、その長さは一般には22個以下の炭素原子であり、好ましくは、少なくとも12個の炭素原子であり;R2、R3、R4およびR5は同一で、水素を表し得るか、またはR2がCH3基を表すことができ、R3、R4およびR5が水素を表し;nは、50までであり得る、ゼロでない整数であり、より具体的には5から15の間である(これらの値は含まれる。)。界面活性剤が、上記式の製造物の混合物(これらについて、R1はそれぞれ、飽和および不飽和であり得る。)から、または代替では、−CH2−CH2−O−基および−C(CH3)2−CH2−O−基の両方を含む製造物の混合物から構成され得ることは特筆される。
セリウムの還元性の程度が、プログラム化された温度での還元をOhkura Riken TP5000装置で行うことによって測定される。この装置では、本発明による組成物の水素消費が温度の関数として測定され、セリウムの還元の程度が水素の消費から推定される。
酸化:He中に5vol%でのO2のもとにおいて10℃/分の増加率での500℃までへの温度上昇;
30分間の定常段階、その後、30℃への低下;
Ar下における30℃での20分間の処理;
還元:Ar中に10vol%でのH2のもとにおいて20℃/分の増加率での900℃までへの温度上昇;
校正;
900℃から30℃へのAr下における温度低下。
この試験は、汚染物質(CO、NOおよび炭化水素)の除去に関して粉末形態での単一金属触媒の性能特性を動的条件(1Hzの振動数)のもとで評価することを可能にする。この試験において使用される炭化水素はプロパンおよびプロペンである。いくつかの測定値が、ガス混合物の富化度を0.980から1.015の値の間で変化させることによって等温測定により得られる。下記の表には、これら2つの値についてのこのガス混合物の組成が示される。評価温度は480℃であり、20mgの触媒量が、不活性な希釈剤として使用されるSiCの150mgと混合される。触媒性能特性がCOP(交差点)として与えられ、この場合、COPは、混合物の富化度の関数としてのCOおよびNOの変換についての曲線の交わる点として定義される。
このライトオフ試験は、粉末形態における三元触媒が汚染物質(CO、NOおよび炭化水素)に関して20%または50%の変換(T20またはT50)に達する温度を評価することを可能にする。高富化(rich)ライトオフ試験が、1.024の富化度のガス混合物を用いて行われる。低富化(poor)ライトオフ試験が、0.98の富化度を有するガス混合物を用いて行われる。触媒の20mg量が、不活性な希釈剤として使用されるSiCの150mgと混合される。上記の汚染物質に対する変換が、その後、温度の関数として測定される。この場合、温度は25℃/分の加熱速度により200℃から500℃の間に及ぶ。それぞれの汚染物質についてのライトオフ性能がT20(20%の変換が達成される温度)として表される。
4時間、1000℃ = 26m2/g
4時間、1100℃ = 23m2/g。
2時間、600℃ 還元性の程度=100% Tmax=580℃
2時間、900℃ 還元性の程度=88%
4時間、1000℃ = 34m2/g
4時間、1100℃ = 27m2/g。
2時間、600℃ 還元性の程度=96% Tmax=560℃
2時間、900℃ 還元性の程度=88%
以前に記載されたような時効処理試験の結果、および上記で記載された調製手順に由来する製造物に対して得られた結果、すなわち、特に、4時間にわたる1000℃の第1の焼成および2時間にわたる600℃の第2の焼成の後における結果がさらに下記に示される。
4時間、1000℃ = 38m2/g
4時間、1100℃ = 27m2/g。
2時間、600℃ 還元性の程度=100% Tmax=540℃
2時間、900℃ 還元性の程度=90%
2時間、1000℃ 還元性の程度=87%
上記で記載された調製方法から得られる製造物に対して得られた結果、すなわち、特に、4時間にわたる1000℃の第1の焼成および2時間にわたる600℃の第2の焼成の後における、以前に記載された三元触媒作用試験の後での結果がさらに下記に示される。
4時間、1000℃ = 21m2/g
4時間、1100℃ = 17m2/g。
本実施例は、実施例3の組成物と類似する組成物、すなわち、21%、72%、2%および5%の酸化物のそれぞれの質量割合での酸化セリウム、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化ランタンおよび酸化ネオジムに基づく組成物の調製に関する。
4時間、900℃ = 55m2/g
4時間、1000℃ = 43m2/g
4時間、1100℃ = 22m2/g。
4時間、700℃ 還元性の程度=85%
2時間、900℃ 還元性の程度=80%
2時間、1000℃ 還元性の程度=78%
三元触媒作用試験は、パラジウムの0.5質量%により含浸された製造物についてCOPにおける86%の変換を示す。1.005の富化度については、この試験において測定されたNOxの変換度が89%である。
本実施例は、実施例2の組成物と類似する組成物、すなわち、40%、50%、5%および5%の酸化物のそれぞれの質量割合での酸化セリウム、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化ランタンおよび酸化イットリウムに基づく組成物の調製に関する。
4時間、900℃ = 54m2/g
4時間、1000℃ = 43m2/g
4時間、1100℃ = 20m2/g。
2時間、700℃ 還元性の程度=68%
2時間、900℃ 還元性の程度=63%
以前に記載されたような時効処理試験の結果、および実施例5について上記で記載された調製方法に由来する製造物に対して得られた結果、すなわち、700℃での4時間の焼成の後における結果がさらに下記に示される。
Claims (21)
- 50質量%以下の酸化セリウムの割合、600℃での空気中における2時間の焼成の後での少なくとも95%の還元性の程度、および1100℃での4時間の焼成の後での少なくとも15m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、酸化ジルコニウムおよび酸化セリウムに基づく組成物。
- 50質量%以下の酸化セリウムの割合、700℃での空気中における2時間の焼成の後での少なくとも95%の還元性の程度、および1100℃での4時間の焼成の後での少なくとも15m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、酸化ジルコニウムおよび酸化セリウムに基づく組成物。
- 50質量%以下の酸化セリウムの割合、900℃での空気中における2時間の焼成の後での少なくとも85%の還元性の程度、および1100℃での4時間の焼成の後での少なくとも15m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、酸化ジルコニウムおよび酸化セリウムに基づく組成物。
- セリウム以外のランタニドから選ばれる別の元素の少なくとも1つの酸化物も含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から3の一項に記載の組成物。
- イットリウム、ランタン、ネオジムおよびプラセオジムから選ばれるランタニドの少なくとも1つの酸化物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から4の一項に記載の組成物。
- 45%以下の酸化セリウムの割合を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から5の一項に記載の組成物。
- 40%以下の酸化セリウムの割合を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から5の一項に記載の組成物。
- 3%から35%の間のセリウム以外のランタニドから選択される別の元素の含有量を有することを特徴とする、請求項4から7の一項に記載の組成物。
- 25%以下の酸化セリウムの割合、15%以下の別のランタニド酸化物の含有量、および1000℃での空気中における2時間の焼成の後での少なくとも80%の還元性の程度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から5の一項に記載の組成物。
- 1000℃での空気中における2時間の焼成の後での少なくとも85%の還元性の程度を有することを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の組成物。
- 1100℃での4時間の焼成の後での少なくとも20m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から10の一項に記載の組成物。
- 1100℃での4時間の焼成の後での少なくとも25m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の組成物。
- 1000℃での4時間の焼成後の比表面積と1100℃での4時間の焼成後の比表面積と間の比表面積の変動が30%以下であり、ここで該変動は(S1100−S1000)/S1000の比率によって表される、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1から12の一項に記載の組成物。 - 1000℃での4時間の焼成後の比表面積と1100℃での4時間の焼成後の比表面積と間の比表面積の変動が20%以下である
ことを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の組成物。 - (a)ジルコニウム化合物およびセリウム化合物と、場合により、セリウム以外のランタニドから選択される別の元素の1つとを含む水性混合物を形成するステップ;
(b)このように形成された混合物を少なくとも100℃の温度に加熱し、その結果として、反応媒体中に懸濁された沈殿物を得るステップ;
(c)加熱後に得られた反応媒体を塩基性pHにするステップ;
(d)アニオン性界面活性剤、非イオン性界面活性剤、ポリエチレングリコール、カルボン酸およびこの塩、ならびにカルボキシメチル化脂肪アルコールエトキシラートタイプの界面活性剤から選ばれる添加剤を最初に、前段ステップから得られる媒体に加え、その後、前記沈殿物を分離するステップ;
(d’)または前記沈殿物を最初に、ステップ(c)から得られる媒体から分離し、その後、前記添加剤を前記沈殿物に加えるステップ;
(e)このように得られた沈殿物の第1の焼成を少なくとも900℃の温度で不活性ガス下または真空下において行い、その後、少なくとも600℃の温度での酸化性雰囲気下における第2の焼成を行うステップ
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から14の一項に記載の組成物を調製するための方法。 - ステップ(c)の後、前記反応媒体を少なくとも40℃の温度に加熱することによって、前記反応媒体の熟成を行うことを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 使用されたジルコニウムの化合物、セリウムの化合物および上記別の元素の化合物が、硝酸塩、硫酸塩、酢酸塩、塩化物およびセリウム(IV)アンモニア性硝酸塩から選ばれる化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項15または16に記載の方法。
- 第2の焼成を空気中において行うことを特徴とする、請求項15から17の一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から14の一項に記載の組成物、または請求項15から18の一項に記載の方法によって得られる組成物を含むことを特徴とする排気ガスの処理のための触媒系。
- 担体としての上記組成物と、前記組成物に担持されたパラジウムとを含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の触媒系。
- 請求項19または20に記載の触媒系を触媒として使用することを特徴とする、内燃機関の排気ガスを処理するための方法。
