本実施例は、テレフタル酸(またはテレフタル酸ジメチル)、エチレングリコールおよび5−スルホイソフタル酸ジメチルナトリウム(酸成分を基準にして1.7モル%)のコポリエステルであった。該共重合体のIVは0.56であった。
PET−1:バンベルゲル・ポリマーズ(Bamberger Polymers)から商品名コサ(KoSa)TM1101で入手可能な、約252℃の溶融温度(Tm)および0.83の固有粘度、1.39g/ccの密度および0.83g/ccの見かけ嵩密度を有するPET組成物。
PA−1:三菱ガス化学/ナノコールから商品名MX6007で入手可能なMXD6ポリアミド。
EVOH−1:クラレ(エバルカ)から商品名エバルTMF101で入手可能な約32モル%エチレンを含有するエチレン−ビニルアルコール共重合体。
EMAMA−1:バイネル(Bynel)(登録商標)22E810のようなデュポンから入手可能な、無水マレイン酸変性エチレン/アクリル酸メチルグラフト共重合体。
ブレンド組成物は、様々な量の実施例1組成物をPET−1とドライブレンドすることによって製造した。組成物を表1にリストする。
表1に報告するブレンド組成物(実施例2〜5)およびポリアミド組成物を、標準条件を用いて上記のように射出成形して外部バルク層としてブレンド組成物をおよび内部バリア層としてポリアミド組成物を有する3層ボトル・プリフォームを製造した。( )内の数字が重量%を示して、構造体を表2に示す。比較例C1、C2およびC3を同様に製造した。
表1に報告するブレンド組成物(実施例5)およびEVOH−1組成物を、標準条件を用いて上記のように射出成形して外部バルク層としてブレンド組成物を、および内部バリア層としてEVOH−1組成物を有する3層ボトル・プリフォームを製造した。構造体を表3に示す。比較例C4を同様に製造した。
表2および3にリストするプリフォームを、標準条件を用いて上記のようにブロー成形して3層について5ミル/0.5ミル/5ミルの呼びサイド肉厚を有するブロー成形ボトルを提供した。
次に、本発明の好ましい態様を示す。
1. 少なくとも1つの外部層に接着された少なくとも1つの内部コア層を含むまたはそれから製造されかつさらにポリエステルと0.001〜7モル%のスルホン酸コモノマーに由来する繰り返し単位とを含む共重合体をさらに含むまたはそれから製造された多層構造体であって、該構造体が共押出され、共射出され、またはそれらの組み合わせであり、そして該スルホン酸コモノマーがスルホベンゼンジカルボン酸、該酸の塩、該酸のエステル、該塩のエステル、またはそれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを含む構造体。
2. 前記外部層が(1)前記共重合体、(2)バルクポリエステルと前記共重合体とのブレンド、または(1)と(2)との組み合わせを含むまたはそれから製造され、そして前記スルホン酸コモノマーが前記酸の金属塩であり、そして該金属塩がカルシウム塩、亜鉛塩、リチウム塩、ナトリウム塩、またはそれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを含み、そして該バルクポリエステル対該共重合体の比が好ましくは0.1:99.9〜99.9:0.1または75:25〜99.9:0.1である、上記1に記載の構造体。
3. 前記バルクポリマーが少なくとも約65重量%、もしくは少なくとも約80重量%のポリエチレンテレフタレートホモポリマー、ポリエチレンテレフタレート共重合体、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む組成物を含む、上記2に記載の構造体。
4. 前記ポリエチレンテレフタレートホモポリマーまたはポリエチレンテレフタレート共重合体が約230℃〜約258℃または約245℃〜約258℃の範囲の溶融温度、および0.58〜1.1または0.67〜0.9または0.67〜1.1の範囲の固有粘度を有する、上記2に記載の構造体。
5. 前記共重合体がランダムコポリエステル、ブロックコポリエステル、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む、上記1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の構造体。
6. 前記共重合体を含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層と、ポリアミド、エチレン/ビニルアルコール共重合体、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、エチレン・酢酸ビニル共重合体、エチレン/(メタ)アクリル酸アルキル共重合体、ポリオレフィンおよびポリオレフィン共重合体、ポリカーボネート、またはそれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層とを含むまたはそれらから製造された、上記1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の構造体。
7. 前記共重合体を含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層と、ポリアミド、エチレン/ビニルアルコール共重合体、またはそれらの組み合わせを含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層とを含むまたはそれらから製造された上記1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の構造体であって、該ポリアミドがポリアミド6、ポリアミド9、ポリアミド10、ポリアミド11、ポリアミド12、ポリアミド6,6、ポリアミド6,10、ポリアミド6,12、ポリアミド6/6,6、ポリアミド6I、ポリアミド6T、ポリアミド6I,6T、ポリアミド6,9、ポリアミドMXD6、ポリアミドMXD6の共重合体、ポリアミド・ナノ複合材料、またはそれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを含む構造体。
8. 前記共重合体を含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層と、ポリアミド6、ポリアミド6,6、ポリアミド6I,6T、ポリアミドMXD6、ポリアミド6/6,6、およびポリアミド・ナノ複合材料をはじめとするポリアミドを含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層とを含むまたはそれらから製造された上記1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の構造体であって、該共重合体がポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体、ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とポリエーテルエステルエラストマーブロック共重合体とのブレンド、ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とポリエチレンテレフタレートとのブレンド、ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸メチル共重合体とのブレンド、ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸n−ブチル共重合体とのブレンドを含む構造体。
9. 前記共重合体を含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層と、エチレン/ビニルアルコール共重合体を含むまたはそれから製造された少なくとも1つの層とを含むまたはそれらから製造された、上記1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の構造体。
10. 多層構造体を含むまたはそれから製造された物品であって、該物品が射出成形中空物品、ブロー成形ボトル、または両方であり、該構造体が上記1〜9のいずれか一項で特徴付けられるようなものであり、そして該物品、該構造体、または両方が任意選択的に少なくとも1つの酸素スカベンジャーを含む物品。
Claims (2)
- 外部層に接着された内部コア層を含む、共押出もしくは共射出された複数層を含むまたはそれから製造された3層構造体であって、
前記内部コア層はポリアミドMXD6であり;
前記外部層はスルホン酸含有ポリエステル又はブレンドであって、
前記スルホン酸含有ポリエステルは、5−スルホイソフタル酸、前記酸の塩、前記酸のエステル又は前記塩のエステル;テレフタル酸又はテレフタル酸ジエステル;及びエチレングリコールの三元共重合体であり、かつ、
前記ブレンドは、(1)ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とポリエーテルエステルエラストマーブロック共重合体とのブレンド、(2)ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とポリエチレンテレフタレートとのブレンド、(3)ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸メチル共重合体とのブレンド、又は(4)ポリエチレンテレフタレート・5−スルホイソフタレートナトリウム三元共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸共重合体とエチレン/アクリル酸n−ブチル共重合体とのブレンドである、
前記構造体。 - 多層構造体を含むまたはそれから製造された物品であって、該物品が射出成形中空物品、ブロー成形ボトル、または両方であり、該構造体が請求項1で特徴付けられるようなものであり、そして該物品、該構造体、または両方が任意選択的に少なくとも1つの酸素スカベンジャーを含む物品。
