Description
前記担体は、少なくともセリア粒子とジルコニア粒子とを含み、セリア粒子の粒径がジルコニア粒子の粒径よりも小さいことを特徴とする排ガス浄化触媒が提供される。
A)セリウム塩およびジルコニア粒子を含む懸濁液を準備する工程、
B)上記懸濁液に沈殿剤溶液を加えて、ジルコニア粒子の表面に水酸化セリウムを担持させる工程、
C)ジルコニア粒子に担持された水酸化セリウムを熟成させてセリア粒子の前躯体とする工程、
D)ジルコニア粒子と担持されたセリア前躯体とを焼成して、ジルコニア粒子にセリア粒子が担持された粉末を得る工程
を含むことを特徴とする。
本発明の担体の製造方法によって製造された担体に、触媒金属として卑金属を担持させることを特徴とする。
上記第2段卑金属触媒手段として上記記載の排ガス浄化触媒を用いたことを特徴とする卑金属排ガス浄化装置が提供される。

ガス流量=10L/min、触媒ペレット=3g
図3に結果をまとめて示す。
ここで残存しているHCおよびCOは、更に下流に付加的に設けた第3段のAg/Al2O3触媒において酸化により浄化される。この酸化を促進するために、第2段触媒手段と第3段触媒手段との間に設けた空気(air)導入手段により、適宜空気を導入する。
Claims (3)
- ジルコニア粒子と、
前記ジルコニア粒子と接触し、前記ジルコニア粒子の平均粒径よりも平均粒径が小さいセリア粒子と、
少なくとも前記セリア粒子に分散担持された触媒金属である卑金属と、
を備える排ガス浄化触媒であって、
セリア粒子の粒径が1〜9nmであり、
ジルコニア粒子に対するセリア粒子の割合は5〜30重量%であり、
ジルコニア粒子の粒径が5〜50nmであることを特徴とする排ガス浄化触媒。 - 請求項1において、卑金属が銅であることを特徴とする排ガス浄化触媒。
- HCおよびCOの酸化浄化を行ない、COよりもHCの浄化率が高い第1段卑金属触媒手段と、
請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化触媒を含み、NOxの還元浄化を行なう第2段卑金属触媒手段と、
を備える排ガス浄化装置。
