Claims (3)
- 軸線方向に延びる板状をなし、先端側に被検出ガス中の特定ガス成分を検出するための検出部を有する検出素子と、
前記検出部を自身の先端から突出させた状態で、前記検出素子の径方向周囲を取り囲んで保持するハウジングと、
有底筒状をなし、自身の内部に前記検出素子の前記検出部を収容した状態で、開口端側の基端部が前記ハウジングの先端部に固定されると共に、周壁に、前記被検出ガスを自身の内部に導入するための内側導入孔が形成された内側プロテクタと、
前記内側プロテクタとの間に空隙を有しつつ、少なくとも前記内側プロテクタの前記周壁を取り囲む円筒状をなし、自身の周壁に、前記被検出ガスを前記空隙内に導入するための外側導入孔が形成された外側プロテクタと
を備えたガスセンサにおいて、
前記外側プロテクタは、該外側プロテクタの周方向における前記外側導入孔の一端を始端とし、前記外側プロテクタの周壁の一端を残してコの字型に切り欠いた周壁の一部が自身の内部に押し込まれた形態で形成され、前記始端より前記外側導入孔の他端に向かいつつも前記空隙内に向けて延出され、前記空隙内に導入される被検出ガスの流路を案内するガイド体を備え、
前記外側プロテクタの外周面側において、前記外側導入孔の前記周方向に沿った長さは、前記ガイド体の前記始端と、前記ガイド体が延出する延出方向において前記始端とは反対側における前記ガイド体の端部である終端との間の長さよりも長く、
前記外側導入孔は前記周方向に沿って複数箇所に形成され、
前記外側プロテクタおよび前記内側プロテクタを軸線と直交する仮想平面に投影して見たときに、
複数の前記外側導入孔のうち任意の第1外側導入孔の一端より延出された第1ガイド体の始端における自身の外周面側の点を通り、前記第1外側導入孔の他端側で最も近くに形成された第2外側導入孔の一端より延出された第2ガイド体の始端における自身の内周面側の点を通る第1仮想直線と、
前記第1ガイド体の前記始端における自身の外周面側の点を通り、前記内側プロテクタの前記周壁の外周面に外接する第2仮想直線と
で挟まれた鋭角をなす領域内に前記第1ガイド体自身の外周面全面が配置されることを特徴とするガスセンサ。 - 前記第1ガイド体の前記始端とは延出方向に反対側の終端における自身の外周面側の点と、前記第1外側導入孔の前記他端における前記外側プロテクタの内周面側の点との間の直線距離が、0.5mm以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガスセンサ。
- 前記外側導入孔は、前記外側プロテクタの前記周方向に沿って、少なくとも4箇所以上に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のガスセンサ。
