Description
The present invention relates to a duplex printing apparatus capable of printing on both sides of a sheet (recording medium) in one step, and more particularly to a technique for peeling a sheet from an outer peripheral surface of a printing drum.
A plate cylinder (printing drum) in which multiple layers of resin or metal mesh mesh screen are wound around the peripheral surface of a cylindrical porous support plate, and a thermoplastic resin film and Japanese paper fiber or synthetic fiber or Japanese paper fiber Using a master (stencil paper) with a laminate structure that is made by laminating a mixture of fibers, the thermoplastic resin film surface of the master is heated and perforated with a heating element, and then wound around the plate cylinder. While continuously supplying ink from the ink supply means provided on the plate cylinder to the inner peripheral surface of the plate cylinder, the plate cylinder is continuously pressed by a pressing member such as a press roller against the plate-making master on the outer surface of the plate cylinder. 2. Description of the Related Art A thermal digital stencil printing apparatus is known in which ink is oozed from an opening and a master perforation, and the ink is transferred to a sheet for printing.
In the stencil printing apparatus described above, the printed paper is peeled off from the master-making master on the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder with a peeling claw as a peeling member and discharged onto a paper discharge tray provided in the paper discharge unit. The peeling claw is disposed in the vicinity of the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder so that a slight gap is formed between the tip and the master so as not to damage the master that has been made on the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder. The paper is peeled off from the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder by forcibly intervening between the leading margin of the plate and the master that has been made.
However, when the plate-making image formed on the master has a solid image portion, the adhesive force of the ink acting between the paper and the master is extremely increased, and the paper is removed from the plate cylinder by the peeling claw. The paper cannot be peeled off from the master, and the paper remains stuck on the master or the paper is caught on the peeling claw, so that the peeling operation is not performed reliably, and a problem of winding up occurs.
In order to prevent the occurrence of this roll-up, an air discharge port is provided at the tip of the peeling claw, and air is discharged from this discharge port between the paper and the master. For example,
In the above-described stencil printing, recently, double-sided printing, in which printing is performed on both sides of paper, has been frequently performed in order to reduce paper consumption, document storage space, and the like.
In this double-sided printing, a method was adopted in which the paper loaded on the paper feeding unit was passed through the printing unit, printed on one side, then turned over, passed again through the printing unit, and printed on the other side. However, it has been troublesome to set the paper once ejected to the paper feeding unit or to align the paper after single-sided printing.
Therefore, the applicant of the present application stacks the printing unit, the auxiliary tray for double-sided printing that temporarily stores the printed sheet on the surface of which the printed image is formed, and the sheet on which the printed image is formed. A double-sided printing apparatus having a paper discharge tray and a switching member that guides the paper that has passed through the printing unit to either the auxiliary tray or the paper discharge tray, and capable of easily switching between single-sided printing and double-sided printing (Patent Document 3).
In this double-sided printing apparatus, a master-making master made for single-sided printing is wound around a plate cylinder during single-sided printing, and two plate-making images are arranged in the plate cylinder rotation direction for double-sided printing during double-sided printing. The master is divided and the pre-printed master is wound around the plate cylinder to obtain one single-side printed paper by one rotation of the plate cylinder during single-sided printing, and one double-sided printed paper by one rotation of the plate cylinder during double-sided printing. It is configured as follows.
The single-sided printing operation is performed in substantially the same manner as the stencil printing apparatus described in
First, the first sheet is fed from the sheet feeding unit, and the first plate making image and the first sheet corresponding to the surface print image in the divided plate making master wound around the plate cylinder are pressed. Pressing with a member creates a surface printed paper. The first sheet that has been printed on the front side is peeled off from the plate cylinder by the switching member and guided to the auxiliary tray.
Next, the second sheet is fed from the sheet feeding unit, and the first plate-making image of the divided plate-making master and the second sheet are pressed by the pressing member to create the next surface-printed sheet.
The second sheet that has been printed on the front side is peeled off from the plate cylinder by the switching member and guided to the auxiliary tray. At the time of surface printing of the second sheet, the refeeding unit is activated, and the first sheet is sent from the auxiliary tray toward the printing unit. This first sheet is fed at a timing corresponding to the second plate-making image corresponding to the back-side printed image of the divided plate-making masters wound on the plate cylinder, and is applied to the outer surface of the plate cylinder by the pressing member. The back image is printed by being pressed.
The first sheet, which has been printed on both sides and has been printed, is peeled off from the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder by a peeling claw located on the downstream side of the switching cylinder rotation direction of the switching member, and is sent to the paper discharge unit. Sent. Thereafter, this operation is repeated, and one double-sided printed paper is produced by one rotation of the plate cylinder.
As described above, in the double-sided printing apparatus described in
As described above, in the above double-sided printing apparatus, the peeling timing is different between single-sided printing and double-sided printing. Therefore, even if the air discharge type peeling means described in
In other words, peeling is done at the position of the switching member when guiding to the auxiliary tray during double-sided printing, but even if air is discharged from the peeling claw located on the downstream side, the peeling position is separated from that during single-sided printing. In addition, since the switching member located on the upstream side is an obstacle to air, the peeling function by air discharge is weak, and it is necessary to rely on peeling by the switching member. For this reason, when the adhesion force between the paper and the master is large, the roll-up is likely to occur between the switching member and the plate cylinder.
Although it is conceivable to provide an air discharge function on the switching member itself, the configuration becomes complicated and an increase in cost cannot be avoided.
The present invention provides a double-sided printing apparatus capable of preventing the occurrence of winding in both single-sided printing and double-sided printing without increasing the complexity and cost of the structure and continuously obtaining good printed matter.

The second embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. In addition, the same part as the said embodiment is shown with the same code | symbol, and unless it was especially required, the description on the structure and function which were already demonstrated is abbreviate | omitted, and only the principal part is demonstrated.
As described above, the printing paper 7A is peeled off by first using the stiffness of the printing paper 7A to lift the leading edge of the paper from the
However, depending on conditions such as the strength of the
That is, as shown in FIG. 5, the airflow that is closer to the
The object of the present embodiment is to eliminate this concern and to ensure separation without being affected by various conditions.
As shown in FIG. 6A, the driving of the
As described above, in the first embodiment, the
In other words, the air volume is adjusted so as not to adversely affect the leading edge of the printing paper 7A from the
The timing at which the air for predetermined peeling is performed is determined based on information from a drum position detection sensor (not shown) that detects the rotation of the
In this case, a lookup table in which the determined value is corrected according to conditions such as the type of printing paper and the type of ink may be stored and controlled in advance.
The third embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 7-9.
This embodiment has the same object as that of the second embodiment, and is characterized in that the solution is achieved by the shape or size of the slit of the switching claw.
As shown in FIG. 8, the opening portion of the switching
As a result, as shown in FIG. 7, the amount of air from the
As it becomes gradually narrower triangular shape toward the shape of the slit 53a on the upstream side in the conveying direction of the printing paper in this embodiment, although a smaller area ratio of the opening on the upstream side, as shown in FIG. 9, the slit 13a The area ratio of the opening on the
Further, the range in which the area ratio is reduced in the above may be reduced in a part rather than the entire surface in the width direction.
A fourth embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
As shown in FIG. 10, the switching
The

FIG. 11 shows a cam curve.
The peeling operation in this embodiment will be described.
As shown in FIG. 12, at the timing when the clamper 4 of the
As shown in FIG. 13, when the
When the leading edge is difficult to peel off due to paper curl or the like, the leading edge of the switching
