Description
本発明は、変速機用流体、特に自動変速機用流体に関する。これらの流体は、その腐食性能を改善するためにフタル酸を含有する。本発明はまた、このような用途に適した可溶な形態のフタル酸、特にテレフタル酸を提供するための方法に関する。
本発明は、潤滑剤用途のために有用な組成物を提供し、この組成物は、
(a)フタル酸またはその無水物、エステルもしくは塩;
(b)(i)無機リン系酸またはその塩、および(ii)ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛以外の脂肪族リン系エステル、のうちの少なくとも1つ;
(c)分散剤;ならびに
(d)潤滑粘性の油、
を含む。
(a)テレフタル酸、ならびに
(b)(i)無機リン系酸またはその塩、および(ii)リン系エステルの両方、
の均質な混合物を含む組成物を提供する。
(A)このテレフタル酸と(b)(i)無機リン系酸またはその塩および(ii)リン系エステルのうちの少なくとも1つとを混合して、濃縮物を提供する工程;ならびに
(B)この濃縮物と(d)上記潤滑粘性の油とを、(c)分散剤の存在下で混合する工程、
を包含する。
種々の好ましい特徴および好ましい実施形態は、非限定的な実例として以下に説明される。
(a)フタル酸またはその無水物、エステルもしくは塩;
(b)(i)無機リン系酸またはその塩、および(ii)ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛以外の脂肪族リン系エステル、のうちの少なくとも1つ;
(c)分散剤;および
(d)潤滑粘性の油、
を含む。
炭化水素置換基、すなわち、脂肪族(例えば、アルキルまたはアルケニル)、脂環式(例えば、シクロアルキル、シクロアルケニル)置換基、および芳香族置換芳香族置換基、脂肪族置換芳香族置換基および脂環式置換芳香族置換基、ならびに環状置換基(ただし、その環は、分子の別の部分を介して完結する(例えば、2つの置換基が一緒になって環を形成する));
置換炭化水素置換基、すなわち、本発明の文脈において主に置換基の炭化水素の性質を改変しない非炭化水素基を含有する置換基(例えば、ハロ(特に、クロロおよびフルオロ)、ヒドロキシ、アルコキシ、メルカプト、アルキルメルカプト、ニトロ、ニトロソ、およびスルホキシ);
ヘテロ置換基、すなわち、本発明の文脈において主に炭化水素の特徴を有しながら、そうでなければ炭素原子からなる環または鎖中に炭素以外を含む、置換基。ヘテロ原子としては、硫黄、酸素、窒素が挙げられ、そしてピリジル、フリル、チエニルおよびイミダゾリルのような置換基を含む。一般的に、2つ以内の、好ましくは1つ以内の非炭化水素置換基が、ヒドロカルビル基の炭素原子10個ごとに存在する;代表的に、ヒドロカルビル基に非炭化水素置換基は存在しない。
亜リン酸水素ジブチル3.5gおよび85%リン酸1.75g(水溶液)を、室温で混合し、次いで70℃に加熱する。その混合物に、0.21gのテレフタル酸を添加し、そして混合工程を70〜75℃で約10分間続け、次いで、その固体テレフタル酸が溶解するまで、温度を約130℃にゆっくりと上昇する。
亜リン酸水素ジブチル3.5gおよびテレフタル酸0.12gを、室温で混合し、次いで、固体テレフタル酸が溶解するまで、温度を約130℃にゆっくりと上昇する。次いで、その混合物を約70℃に冷却し、次いで、85%リン酸1.75g(水溶液)を添加し、混合工程を70℃で約10分間続ける。
亜リン酸水素ジブチル3.5gおよびテレフタル酸0.12gを、室温で混合し、次いで、固体テレフタル酸が溶解するまで、温度を約130℃にゆっくりと上昇する。次いで、その混合物を約70℃に冷却し(透明のまま)、他の成分(例えば、無機リン酸または塩)とさらにブレンドするために使用され、添加物濃縮物を調製する。
完全に処方された自動変速機用流体組成物を、概して実施例1〜3で調製したような種々の量のテレフタル酸およびリン成分を含めて調製する。(実施例4は、テレフタル酸を含まない比較例である)。各処方物を、L38銅/鉛クーポン腐食試験に供し、ここで、洗浄した銅/鉛軸受は、30mLの試験流体に150℃で120時間さらされる。軸受重量の損失ならびに試験流体中のCuおよびPb含量を測定する。重量%として表される処方物および結果を、以下の表1に提示する。
Claims (10)
- 潤滑剤用途のために有用な組成物であって、
(a)テレフタル酸;
(b)(i)亜リン酸およびリン酸からなる群より選択される無機リン系酸、および(ii)亜リン酸エステルおよびリン酸エステルから選択される脂肪族リン系エステル;
(c)スクシンイミド分散剤;ならびに
(d)潤滑粘性の油、
を含む、組成物。 - 前記脂肪族リン系エステルが、亜リン酸水素ジアルキルである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- (a)前記テレフタル酸、および(b)前記無機リン系酸、または前記脂肪族リン系エステルが、0.005:1〜0.5:1の(a):(b)の重量比で存在する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 潤滑粘性の油中の(a)テレフタル酸の可溶性組成物を調製するための方法であって、
(A)該テレフタル酸と(b)(i)亜リン酸およびリン酸からなる群より選択される無機リン系酸、および(ii)亜リン酸エステルおよびリン酸エステルから選択されるリン系エステルを混合して、濃縮物を提供する工程;ならびに
(B)該濃縮物と(d)該潤滑粘性の油とを、(c)スクシンイミド分散剤の存在下で混合する工程、を包含する、方法。 - 前記テレフタル酸が、該テレフタル酸が溶解するまで、加熱しながら、リン系エステルと混合される、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 無機リン系酸が、前記方法によって調製された溶液に、引き続いて添加される、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記テレフタル酸が、潤滑粘性の油(d)との混合の前に、分散剤と予め反応されない、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記テレフタル酸(a)が、(b)前記無機リン系酸および前記リン系エステルと、0.005:1〜0.5:1の(a):(b)の重量比で混合される、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 変速機を潤滑するための方法であって、該変速機に請求項1に記載の組成物を供給する工程を包含する、方法。
- 以下:
(a)テレフタル酸、
(b)(i)(i)亜リン酸およびリン酸からなる群より選択される無機リン系酸、および(ii)亜リン酸エステルおよびリン酸エステルから選択されるリン系エステルの両方、ならびに
(c)スクシンイミド分散剤、
の均質な混合物を含む、変速機を潤滑するための組成物。
