上記記述および下記非限定の実施例では、下記試験法を利用して各種特性および性質を測定し、報告した。ASTMはthe American Society for Testing and Materialsを指し、AATCCはthe American Association of Textile Chemists and Coloristsを指し、INDAは、the Association of the Nonwovens Fabrics Industryを指し、およびTAPPIは、the Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industryを指す。
PEは密度が約0.89〜0.96g/cm3でメルトインデックスが6〜40のポリエチレンであり、
PPは密度が約0.90g/cm3のポリプロピレンである。
PETは固有粘度が0.5〜0.9のポリエチレンテレフタレートである。
Claims (19)
- 液体バリア性能を有する不織シート材料であって、この不織シート材料は、両外表面を有し、かつ、第一ポリマー成分と第二ポリマー成分を有する二成分フィラメントを含むスパンボンド不織布からなり、前記第一ポリマー成分と前記第二ポリマー成分は、この二成分フィラメント内の実質的に別々な領域に配置されており、前記第一ポリマー成分は、第二ポリマー成分の溶融温度よりも低い溶融温度であるポリエチレンポリマーで構成され、前記第二ポリマー成分は、第一ポリマー成分の溶融温度よりも高い溶融温度であるポリマーで構成されており、前記不織布のフィラメントは、高密度に配置され且つ互いに詰め込まれ、これにより前記不織シート材料の少なくとも一方の前記外表面は、実質的に平滑な外表面となっており、前記不織布が、1線インチ(lineal inch)当たり約1500〜3000ポンド(2627〜5254N/cm)の加圧ニップ条件および昇温条件で高圧カレンダー処理されることで、前記フィラメントの第一ポリマー成分が、隣のフィラメントの接触する表面部分に融着し、これにより、前記不織布に強度と一体性を付与しており、前記第一ポリマー成分は、軟化し流動して微多孔膜を形成し、この微多孔膜は、液体の透過に対してバリアとして働く一方で、水蒸気は透過することができ、前記シート材料はASTM試験法D−1117に準拠して測定した空気透過度が0〜1.5m3/m2/min(0〜5cfm/ft2/min)であり、前記不織シート材料は、少なくとも15cmの静水頭を有し、水蒸気透過率が、50%の相対湿度(RH)および23℃(73°F)にて、62〜1517.5g/m2/24hr(4〜97.9g/100in2/24hr)である不織シート材料。
- 前記微多孔膜は、前記不織シート材料の一方の外表面に存在し、前記不織シート材料の反対の外表面が、扁平なフィラメントの外観を呈するフィラメント状のテクスチャを有する請求項1に記載の不織シート材料。
- 前記第一ポリマー成分のポリマーがポリエチレンを含み、前記第二ポリマー成分のポリマーが、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステルおよびナイロンからなる群から選択される請求項1または2に記載の不織シート材料。
- 基本重量が10〜150gsmの範囲内にある請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料。
- 前記二成分フィラメントは、断面がシースコア構造であるフィラメントであって、この二成分フィラメントが、前記第二ポリマーで構成されたコア成分と、前記第一ポリマーで構成されたシース成分とを有する請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料。
- 前記ポリエチレンのシース成分に、抗菌剤が組み込まれている請求項1に記載の不織シート材料。
- 前記抗菌剤が感熱性有機化合物を含み、この感熱性有機化合物が、前記コアの溶融温度より低くかつ前記シースの溶融温度より高い分解温度を有する請求項6に記載の不織シート材料。
- 前記抗菌剤が、2,4,4’−トリクロロ−2−ヒドロキシジフェノールエーテルおよび5−クロロ−2−フェノール(2,4ジクロロフェノキシ)化合物からなる群から選択される請求項6に記載の不織シート材料。
- メルトブローンポリエチレン繊維の層をさらに備えており、このメルトブローンポリエチレン繊維層が、前記スパンボンド不織布の一方の外表面の上に重なって付着している請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料。
- 前記二成分フィラメントの第一層と、前記二成分フィラメントの第二層とを備えており、この第二層の前記二成分フィラメントには、前記シースポリマー中に組み込まれた一種または複数の顔料が含まれている請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料。
- 不透明度が少なくとも90%である請求項10に記載の不織シート材料。
- ナノ繊維の層をさらに備えており、このナノ繊維層が、前記スパンボンド不織布の一方の外表面の上に重なって付着している請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料で形成されたハウスラップ。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料で形成された防護衣。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の不織シート材料と、この不織シート材料に積層された少なくとも一つの追加の不織布層とを備えた多層複合不織シート材料。
- 前記少なくとも一つの追加の不織布層が、スパンボンド不織布およびメルトブローン不織布からなる群から選択される請求項15に記載の多層複合不織シート材料。
- 液体バリア性能を有する通気性不織シート材料であって、この通気性不織シート材料は、実質的に連続したシースコア構造のフィラメントを備えており、このフィラメントは、高密度に配置されかつ互いに詰め込まれ、且つ1線インチ(lineal inch)当たり約1500〜3000ポンド(2627〜5254N/cm)の加圧ニップ条件および昇温条件で熱カレンダー処理されて、前記不織シート材料の少なくとも一方の外表面は平滑な外表面となっており、前記シース成分は、ポリエチレンまたはそのコポリマーを含み、前記コア成分は、前記シース成分より溶融温度が高いポリエステル、ポリプロピレン又はそのコポリマーを含み、前記シースポリマーは、隣のフィラメントの接触する表面部分に融着し、これにより、前記不織シート材料に強度と一体性を付与し、前記シースポリマーは、軟化し流動して微多孔膜状の表面を形成し、この微多孔膜状の表面は、液体の透過に対してバリアとして働く一方で、水蒸気が透過でき、前記シート材料はASTM試験法D−1117に準拠して測定した空気透過度が0〜1.5m3/m2/min(0〜5cfm/ft2/min)であり、前記不織シート材料は、水頭が少なくとも15cmであり、水蒸気透過率が、50%の相対湿度(RH)および23℃(73°F)にて、62〜1517.5g/m2/24hr(4〜97.9g/100in2/24hr)である不織シート材料。
- 前記二成分フィラメントは、断面形状がサイド−バイ−サイド型、セグメントパイ型、アイランド−イン−シー型またはチップドマルチ−ローバル型からなる群から選択される構造である請求項1記載の不織シート材料。
- 前記不織布は、116〜130℃(240〜265°F)の温度で高圧カレンダー処理される請求項1記載の不織シート材料。
