Description
Claims (22)
- 1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドおよび放射状目盛を備え、前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドの各々が、前記放射状目盛を照明するための発光部と、読取ヘッド検光子平面に形成される干渉縞を検出するための光検出部とを備えたロータリエンコーダ装置であって、前記読取ヘッド検光子平面が、前記放射状目盛を含む平面に対して傾いており、
前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドは、回転中心の周りを前記放射状目盛に対して相対的に回転可能であり、各読取ヘッドの前記読取ヘッド検光子平面は前記回転中心に向かって傾いていることを特徴とするロータリエンコーダ装置。 - 各読取ヘッドの前記読取ヘッド検光子平面は、前記回転中心と実質的に交差できるように傾いていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドの各々の前記光検出部は、前記読取ヘッド検光子平面内に検光子格子を備えることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記検光子格子は、前記読取ヘッド検光子平面のところに形成される干渉縞に近似するが、一致しない角度ピッチを有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記光検出部は、前記検光子格子からの光を受け取るように構成される構造化光検出器を備えたことを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の装置。
- 前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドの各々の前記発光部は、インデックス格子を備えることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記インデックス格子は、前記放射状目盛を含む前記平面に対して傾いていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記放射状目盛と前記読取ヘッド検光子平面の間の垂直距離は、前記放射状目盛と前記インデックス格子の間の前記垂直距離と実質的に等しいことを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の装置。
- 各読取ヘッドの前記インデックス格子は、前記読取ヘッド検光子平面内にあることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記インデックス格子は、前記放射状目盛の円周方向に間隔をあけた目盛マーキングの列の半径方向ピッチと実質的に等しい半径方向ピッチを有することを特徴とする請求項8または9に記載の装置。
- 前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドの各々の前記発光部は、光源を備えることを特徴とする請求項1ないし10のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記光源は、コリメートされていないことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記光源は、赤外線放射ダイオードを備えることを特徴とする請求項11または12に記載の装置。
- 各読取ヘッドは、前記光検出部を収容する読取ヘッドハウジングを備え、前記読取ヘッド検光子平面は前記読取ヘッドハウジングの第1の外側表面に対して傾いていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし13のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記読取ヘッドハウジングの前記第1の外側表面は、実質的に透明な窓部分を備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記放射状目盛は、反射式放射状目盛であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし15のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記放射状目盛は、透過式放射状目盛であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし15のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記放射状目盛は、位相目盛であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし17のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 複数の読取ヘッドを備えることを特徴とする請求項1ないし18のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 請求項1ないし19のいずれかに記載のロータリエンコーダ装置を備えたことを特徴とする座標測定デバイス。
- (i)一連の円周方向に間隔のあいた目盛マーキングを有する放射状目盛を取り込むステップと、
(ii)各々が、放射状目盛を照明するための発光部と、読取ヘッド検光子平面のところに形成される干渉縞を検出するための光検出部とを備えた1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドを取り込むステップと、
(iii)前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドの各々を、その前記発光部が前記放射状目盛を照明し、かつ前記読取ヘッド検光子平面のところに干渉縞を発生させるように搭載するステップとを備える、ロータリエンコーダを作成する方法であって、
ステップ(iii)が、使用中に前記読取ヘッド検光子平面が、前記放射状目盛を含む平面に対して傾くように、少なくとも1つの読取ヘッドを搭載するステップであって、前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドは、回転中心の周りを前記放射状目盛に対して相対的に回転可能であり、各読取ヘッドの前記読取ヘッド検光子平面は前記回転中心に向かって傾くように搭載するステップを有することを特徴とする方法。 - ステップ(iii)は、前記読取ヘッドが前記放射状目盛を含む前記平面に対して傾くように、前記1つまたは複数の読取ヘッドの各々を搭載するステップを有することを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
