Description
周方向に連続して形成されたジグザグ形状の線材(10c)によって構成され、半径方向に収縮状態から拡張が可能なリング形状のステント単位(4c)と、
前記ステント単位を構成する線材のジグザグ形状の折返し端部(8a,8b)のうちの少なくとも一つと、当該ステント単位に軸方向(X)に隣接する別のステント単位における線材のジグザグ形状の少なくとも一つの折返し端部とを連結する連結部(6)とを有し、
複数の前記ステント単位が、前記連結部によって軸方向に連結されて全体が管形状を成しているステントであって、
収縮状態の前記ステント単位において、前記折返し端部が、周方向(Y)に隣接する前記折返し端部の相互間で、ステントの軸方向に沿って相互に位置ズレしており、
前記折返し端部の少なくとも一部における前記線材の線幅が、折返し端部以外の線材の線幅よりも広く、
前記ステントの軸方向に沿って相互に位置ズレする周方向に隣接する前記折返し端部の相互間の位置ズレ量が、前記折返し端部における前記線材の線幅の1.2〜20倍であり、
線幅が広い線材からなる折返し端部(8a)が、折返し端部以外の線材の線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ線材からなる折返し端部(8b)の間に、周方向に沿って周期的に配列してあり、
前記線幅が広い線材からなる折返し端部が、それぞれのステント単位毎に軸方向両側に略円形に形成してあるを特徴とする。
折返し端部以外の線材の線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ線材からなる折返し端部のスリットの端部位置とが、
実質的にステントの軸方向の同じ位置にある。
折返し端部以外の線材の線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ線材からなる折返し端部のスリットの端部位置とが、
ステントの軸方向に沿って相互に位置ズレしてあっても良い。
図1および図2に示すように、本発明の一実施形態に係るステント2は、周方向Yに連続して形成されたジグザグ形状の線材10によって構成され、半径方向Rに収縮状態から拡張が可能なリング形状のステント単位4を有する。軸方向Xに複数配置してあるステント単位4は、ステント単位4の線材10と一体的に形成してある連結部6によって隣接するステント単位4と連結してあり、全体として管形状のステント2を形成している。
本発明では、図4に示すように、収縮状態における各ステント単位4aにおける折返し端部8a,8bを結ぶ線材10aおよびスリット12aの曲線形状の曲率を図2に示す実施形態のものよりも大きくしても良い。あるいは、図示省略してあるが、収縮状態における各ステント単位4aにおける折返し端部8a,8bを結ぶ線材10aおよびスリット12aの形状を、折れ線形状にしても良い。特に、線材10aおよびスリット12aの形状が曲線状あるいは折れ線状である場合に、ステント2を拡張する際におけるステント2の軸方向全長が短くなってしまう現象(ショートニング)を有効に防止することができる。
この実施形態では、図6に示すように、各ステント単位4cにおいて、線幅が広く略円形の丸みを帯びている突出側折返し端部8aが、折返し端部以外の線材10cの線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ後退側折返し端部8bの間に、周方向Yに沿って一つ置きに配列してある。しかも本実施形態では、線幅が広い突出側折返し端部8aを形成するためのスリット12の端部位置12aと、折返し端部以外の線材(折返し端部を結ぶ線材)10cの線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ後退側折返し端部8bのスリット12の端部位置12bとが、実質的にステント軸方向の同じ位置にある。
この実施形態では、図7に示すように、各ステント単位4dにおいて、線幅が広い線材からなる突出側折返し端部8aを形成するためのスリット12の端部位置12aと、折返し端部以外の線材(折返し端部を結ぶ線材)10dの線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ後退側折返し端部8bのスリット12の端部位置12bとが、ステントの軸方向に沿って相互に位置ズレしている。しかも、各ステント単位4dにおける突出側折返し端部8aが、隣に位置するステント単位4dにおける後退側折返し端部8bに向けて、一対の突出側折返し端部8aの間に入り込むようになっている。
なお、本発明は、上述した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の範囲内で種々に改変することができる。
たとえば、図2に示すように、ステント2の軸方向端部に位置するステント単位4における軸端側の折返し端部8a,8bのいずれかに、造影用マーカー20を形成しても良い。造影用マーカー20の形状は、特に限定されないが、板状あるいは柱状であることが好ましく、特に、ディスク形状あるいは円柱形状が好ましい。マーカー20の大きさは、特に限定されないが、好ましくは外径が0.2〜2mmである。マーカー20は、ステント2の両端部で、一周あたり、1〜8個、好ましくは3〜5個の割合で所定間隔に取り付ける。
Claims (10)
- 周方向に連続して形成されたジグザグ形状の線材(10c)によって構成され、半径方向に収縮状態から拡張が可能なリング形状のステント単位(4c)と、
前記ステント単位を構成する線材のジグザグ形状の折返し端部(8a,8b)のうちの少なくとも一つと、当該ステント単位に軸方向(X)に隣接する別のステント単位における線材のジグザグ形状の少なくとも一つの折返し端部とを連結する連結部(6)とを有し、
複数の前記ステント単位が、前記連結部によって軸方向に連結されて全体が管形状を成しているステントであって、
収縮状態の前記ステント単位において、前記折返し端部が、周方向(Y)に隣接する前記折返し端部の相互間で、ステントの軸方向に沿って相互に位置ズレしており、
前記折返し端部の少なくとも一部における前記線材の線幅が、折返し端部以外の線材の線幅よりも広く、
前記ステントの軸方向に沿って相互に位置ズレする周方向に隣接する前記折返し端部の相互間の位置ズレ量が、前記折返し端部における前記線材の線幅の1.2〜20倍であり、
線幅が広い線材からなる折返し端部(8a)が、折返し端部以外の線材の線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ線材からなる折返し端部(8b)の間に、周方向に沿って周期的に配列してあり、
前記線幅が広い線材からなる折返し端部が、それぞれのステント単位毎に軸方向両側に略円形に形成してあることを特徴とするステント。 - 前記ステント単位の各々において、線幅が広い線材からなる折返し端部を形成するためのスリットの端部位置と、
折返し端部以外の線材の線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ線材からなる折返し端部のスリットの端部位置とが、
実質的にステントの軸方向の同じ位置にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のステント。 - 前記ステント単位の各々において、線幅が広い線材からなる折返し端部を形成するためのスリットの端部位置と、
折返し端部以外の線材の線幅と実質的に同じ線幅を持つ線材からなる折返し端部のスリットの端部位置とが、
ステントの軸方向に沿って相互に位置ズレしていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のステント。 - 収縮状態の前記ステント単位における前記折返し端部の一部が、当該ステント単位に軸方向に隣接する別のステント単位における2つの折返し端部の間に形成されるステントの周方向に沿って伸びる隙間に位置することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のステント。
- 前記ステントの軸方向端部に位置する前記ステント単位における軸端側の折返し端部のいずれかに、造影用マーカーが形成してあることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のステント。
- 前記折返し端部を結ぶ線材の形状が、曲線状あるいは折れ線状であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のステント。
- 前記連結部が直線状、曲線状あるいは折れ線状であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のステント。
- 外周全体がカバーフィルムで覆われていることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のステント。
- 前記折返し端部のそれぞれの外側は丸みを帯びており、その曲率半径は0.15〜0.7mmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のステント。
- 隣接するステント単位の前記線幅が広い線材からなる折返し端部が前記連結部により接続されることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のステント。
