Description
OSAの治療、補助換気の用途のいずれについても、患者に届けられるガスの圧力は一定のレベル、二つのレベル(患者が息を吐くのと息を吸うのに同期している)、あるいは自動的にレベル調整され得る。この明細書を通して、CPAPというときには、これらの形態の圧力供給のいずれか1つ、あるいは組み合わせへの言及を組みいれることが意図される。CPAP治療を提供する先行技術の方法は、ガス流のガス排出のためのベントを有している。ベントは、通常は、マスクに、あるいはマスク近傍に、あるいはガス供給管内に配置される。ベントを通るガスの流れは、呼吸回路から吐き出されたガスをのぞくために必須である。適切なガスの排出は、典型的には成人ではだいたい4cmH2O、小児科の用途では2cmH2O程度の低さであり得る最低動作CPAP圧で最小の安全なガス流を可能にするようなベントのサイズおよび形状を選択することによって達成される。
本発明のベントの実施形態は、再呼吸防止あるいは窒息防止バルブとしても働き得る。

Claims (8)
- 大気圧より上に加圧された呼吸可能なガスを人間に供給するマスクであって、
前記マスクは、
前記人間の口および鼻孔の少なくとも一方を覆うように適合されたシェルと、
前記シェルと加圧ガス供給源との間に流れが接続されたガス供給管と、
加圧ガス供給源からの流れを整える整流ベントと
を備え、
前記整流ベントは、
前記ガス供給管に係合するように適合された固定部と、
前記加圧ガス供給源に流れが接続されている、ばね力によって付勢された可動部と、
前記可動部を前記固定部に回動可能に接続するヒンジと
を有し、
前記固定部はガス流開口部を含み、
前記可動部は1)リラックス位置と2)完全に加圧された位置との間を回動可能であり、
前記1)リラックス位置は、特定の最小動作圧で、前記可動部が前記固定部から離れた位置に前記ばね力によって回動されて前記可動部と前記ガス流開口部との間に第一のガス流面積を確立する位置であり、
前記2)完全に加圧された位置は、特定の動作圧で前記加圧されたガスが前記ばね力を相殺して前記可動部を前記固定部に隣接する位置に回動させ、それにより前記可動部と前記ガス流開口部との間に最小ガス流面積を確立する位置であり、
動作圧範囲内の特定の圧力において前記整流ベントの流れの特性を変更すべく、前記ガス流開口部を取り囲む領域の、前記特定の圧力において前記可動部に接触する変化点までの曲率半径は、前記変化点を越える曲率半径と異なるマスク。 - 請求項1に記載された、大気圧よりも上に加圧された呼吸可能なガスを人間に供給するマスクであって、
前記可動部の厚さおよび材料、並びに、前記ガス流開口部の断面積の少なくとも一つを変化させることにより、動作圧範囲内の特定の圧力において前記整流ベントの流れの特性が更に変更されるマスク。 - 大気圧より上に加圧された呼吸可能なガスを人間に供給するマスクであって、
前記マスクは、
前記人間の口および鼻孔の少なくとも一方を覆うように適合されたシェルと、
前記シェルと加圧ガス供給源との間に流れが接続されたガス供給管と、

前記マスクは、
前記人間の口および鼻孔の少なくとも一方を覆うように適合されたシェルと、

前記整流ベントは、

前記変化点までの、前記可動部の厚さおよび材料の少なくとも一つは、前記変化点を越えた前記可動部の前記厚さおよび材料の少なくとも一つと異なるマスク。 - 請求項5に記載された、大気圧よりも上に加圧された呼吸可能なガスを人間に供給するマスクであって、
前記ガス流開口部を取り囲む前記固定部の領域の曲率半径、および、前記ガス流開口部の断面積の少なくとも一つを変化させることにより、動作圧範囲内の特定の圧力において前記整流ベントの流れの特性が更に変更されるマスク。 - 大気圧より上に加圧された呼吸可能なガスを人間に供給するマスクであって、
前記マスクは、
前記人間の口および鼻孔の少なくとも一方を覆うように適合されたシェルと、
前記シェルと加圧ガス供給源との間に流れが接続されたガス供給管と、

を備え、
