Description
Claims (11)
- マトリクス状に画素が配置された映像表示部と、
前記映像表示部に映像信号に応じた信号電圧と、映像信号とは無関係の共通電圧を出力する駆動部とからなる表示装置において、
前記表示装置は、前記映像表示部の透過光量を検出するための光量測定部と、
前記光量測定部の測定結果を集計する光量集計部と、
前記光量集計部の集計結果に応じて前記共通電圧の電位を調整する電位制御部とを設け、
前記光量測定部が複数存在し、複数の光量測定部の測定結果が1つの光量集計部に集計されることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記光量集計部を容量にて構成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記光量測定部を前記映像表示部の基板に内蔵することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記光量測定部の透過光量を前記駆動部により制御することを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記光量測定部の光電素子の光電変換率を測定位置の重要度に応じて光量測定部毎に異ならせることを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記光量測定部の配置密度を測定位置の重要度に応じて異なるものとすることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示装置で部分表示を行う際には、部分表示近傍のみの光量測定部を選択することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 液晶素子を画素としてマトリクス状に配置した液晶表示装置の共通電極印加電圧調整方法において、
液晶透過光量を検出するための複数の光量測定手段と、
前記複数の光量測定手段の測定結果を集計する光量集計手段と、
前記複数の光量測定手段が受光する光量に対し、制御する液晶素子に正極の信号電圧が印加された時の光量集計結果をサンプル/ホールドする正極用光量集計結果保持手段と、
前記複数の光量測定手段が受光する光量に対し、制御する液晶素子に負極の信号電圧印加時の光量集計結果をサンプル/ホールドする負極用光量集計結果保持手段と、
前記正極用光量集計結果保持手段と負極用光量集計結果保持手段のそれぞれの光量集計結果を比較する比較手段と、
前記液晶表示装置の共通電極に印加する電圧を制御する共通電極印加電圧制御手段とを設け、
前記共通電極印加電圧制御手段により液晶表示装置の共通電極に印加する電圧を段階的に遷移させ、前記比較手段が出力する比較結果が反転するタイミングにおいて共通電極に印加している電圧を最適共通電極印加電圧とし、
前記最適共通電極印加電圧を液晶表示装置の共通電極に印加するよう制御することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の共通電極印加電圧調整方法。 - 前記液晶表示装置の共通電極に印加する電圧を工場出荷前に調整することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置の共通電極印加電圧調整方法。
- 前記液晶表示装置の共通電極に印加する電圧を液晶表示装置の起動直後に調整することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置の共通電極印加電圧調整方法。
- 前記液晶表示装置の共通電極に印加する電圧を反射モードと透過モードの切り替え直後に調整することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置の共通電極印加電圧調整方法。
