Description
この発明は、移植可能なポンプから流れる流体の速度を制御するのに適した弁を提供する。この弁は、概ね、複数腔を備えた毛細管等の複数腔部材と、規制部材とを含むものであり、上記複数腔部材はその内部を流れる流体を受け入れるのに適しており、上記規制部材はその規制部材が上記複数腔部材における1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に規制し、これにより上記複数腔部材を経由して流れる流体の速度を調節するのに有効であるように、上記複数腔部材に連結されている。
(実施態様A)
移植可能なポンプから流れる流体の速度を制御するのに適した弁であって、複数腔部材と、規制部材とを含み、上記複数腔部材はその内部を流れる流体を受け入れるのに適しており、この規制部材は、その規制部材が上記複数腔部材における1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に規制し、これにより上記複数腔部材を経由して流れる流体の速度を調節するのに有効であるように、上記複数腔部材に連結されている、弁。
(1)上記複数腔部材は複数腔を備えた毛細管を含む、実施態様A記載の弁。
(2)上記複数腔部材は、上記移植可能なポンプから流れる流体を受け入れるための入口に連結された第1の端部と、流体送出カテーテルに流体を送り出すための出口を有する第2の反対端部とを含む、実施態様(1)記載の弁。
(3)上記規制部材は、上記毛細管の第1の端部または第2の端部の一方に隣接して配された可撓性膜を含み、この可撓性膜は上記毛細管の1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に規制するのに有効である、実施態様(2)記載の弁。
(4)上記毛細管の1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に規制するための圧力を上記可撓性膜に印加する作動機構をさらに含む、実施態様(3)記載の弁。
(5)上記作動機構は、機械的あるいは電気機械的部材を含む、実施態様(4)記載の弁。
(7)上記可撓性膜は、この可撓性膜が1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に規制するために膨張可能であるようなバルーン様構造をなすハウジングに連結されている、実施態様(3)記載の弁。
(8)上記可撓性膜に連結され、かつ上記可撓性膜を選択的に膨張および/または収縮させるのに有効な水圧ポンプをさらに含む、実施態様(7)記載の弁。
(9)上記水圧ポンプに連結され、かつ上記水圧ポンプを選択的に作動させる作動機構をさらに含み、この作動機構は遠隔測定法によって操作可能である、実施態様(8)記載の弁。
(実施態様B)
移植可能な薬物送出ポンプであって、内部に流体を保持するのに適した貯留部を有するハウジングと、このハウジング内に形成されかつ上記貯留部に流体を送り出すためのポンプ入口と、上記ハウジング内に形成されかつ上記貯留部からの流体を受け入れるのに適した貯留部出口と、上記貯留部からの流体を上記貯留部出口に移動させるのに有効な移動機構と、上記貯留部出口と流体連通する弁とを含み、この弁は、複数腔部材を含み、この複数腔部材は上記複数腔部材における1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に規制し、これにより上記貯留部から流れる流体の速度を調節するのに適している規制部材に連結されている、ポンプ。
(10)上記複数腔部材は複数腔を備えた毛細管を含む、実施態様B記載の移植可能な薬物送出ポンプ。
(11)上記弁は、上記ハウジング内に配設されている、実施態様B記載の移植可能な薬物送出ポンプ。

Claims (11)
- 移植可能なポンプから流れる流体の速度を制御するのに適した弁であって、複数腔部材と、膨張および収縮が可能な規制部材とを含み、上記複数腔部材はその内部を流れる流体を受け入れるのに適しており、この規制部材は、その規制部材が膨張または収縮することにより上記複数腔部材における1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に覆い、これにより上記複数腔部材における流体が流れる腔部材の数を調整することで上記複数腔部材を経由して流れる流体の速度を調節するものであり、前記複数腔部材は複数の腔を備えた毛細管を含む、弁。
- 上記複数腔部材は、上記移植可能なポンプから流れる流体を受け入れるための入口に連結された第1の端部と、流体送出カテーテルに流体を送り出すための出口を有する第2の反対端部とを含む、請求項1記載の弁。
- 上記規制部材は、上記毛細管の第1の端部または第2の端部の一方に隣接して配された可撓性膜を含み、この可撓性膜は膨張または収縮することにより上記毛細管の1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に覆う、請求項2記載の弁。
- 上記毛細管の1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に覆うための圧力を上記可撓性膜に印加する水圧ポンプをさらに含む、請求項3記載の弁。
- 上記可撓性膜は、この可撓性膜が1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に規制するために膨張可能であるようなバルーン様構造をなすハウジングに連結されている、請求項3記載の弁。
- 上記可撓性膜に連結され、かつ上記可撓性膜を選択的に膨張および/または収縮させるのに有効な水圧ポンプをさらに含む、請求項5記載の弁。
- 上記水圧ポンプに連結され、かつ上記水圧ポンプを選択的に作動させる作動機構をさらに含み、この作動機構は遠隔測定法によって操作可能である、請求項6記載の弁。
- 前記複数の腔の各々は、円形の輪郭断面、及び、250μm以下の直径を有する、請求項1に記載の弁。
- 移植可能な薬物送出ポンプであって、内部に流体を保持するのに適した貯留部を有するハウジングと、このハウジング内に形成されかつ上記貯留部に流体を送り出すためのポンプ入口と、上記ハウジング内に形成されかつ上記貯留部からの流体を受け入れるのに適した貯留部出口と、上記貯留部からの流体を上記貯留部出口に移動させるのに有効な移動機構と、上記貯留部出口と流体連通する弁とを含み、
この弁は、前記薬物送出ポンプから流れる流体の速度を制御するのに適した弁であって、複数腔部材と、膨張および収縮が可能な規制部材とを含み、上記複数腔部材はその内部を流れる流体を受け入れるのに適しており、この規制部材は、その規制部材が膨張または収縮することにより上記複数腔部材における1つまたはそれ以上の腔の少なくとも一部を選択的に覆い、これにより上記複数腔部材における流体が流れる腔部材の数を調整することで上記複数腔部材を経由して流れる流体の速度を調節するものであり、前記複数腔部材は複数の腔を備えた毛細管を含む、ポンプ。 - 上記弁は、上記ハウジング内に配設されている、請求項9記載の移植可能な薬物送出ポンプ。
- 前記複数の腔の各々は、円形の輪郭断面、及び、250μm以下の直径を有する、請求項9記載の移植可能な薬物送出ポンプ。
