Description
The present invention relates to a case where a DC motor is used as a drive mechanism portion to control a control target to a target position, and in particular, a control device that opens and closes a passage of an intake air introduction path of a turbocharger and adjusts a boosting pressure of the turbocharger. In addition, the present invention relates to a motor-driven position control device that uses an encoder to detect a position that has been position-controlled using the motor-driven drive mechanism.
Specifically, the first storage means for storing the signal level after the lapse of the reference time after the change of the output signal is detected, and the output signal stored in the first storage means transferred at a predetermined timing. And determining whether to update the output signal change count value of the rotary encoder based on the levels stored in the first and second storage means. Then, the signal level of the first storage means is transferred to the second storage means at the timing when the determination is completed based on the determination result.
In the case of the prior art described above, the normal pulse and noise are separated by not detecting the pulse after the rising edge of the encoder signal or for a certain period of time after the rising edge is detected. However, the influence of noise is completely eliminated. I can't. In particular, in the case of turbo control, if position detection control is erroneously performed due to the influence of noise, errors are accumulated and the actual control position is shifted, so that it does not fall within the normal operating range. Furthermore, it may hit the stopper in the fully closed position or the fully open position, leading to mechanical engagement or damage to the gear device. The above prior art has such a problem.
An object of the present invention is to provide a motor-driven position control device that can prevent displacement of the motor and improve the durability of the device.
The position control device driven by a motor according to the present invention includes a motor that opens and closes a passage of an intake air introduction path to a turbocharger of an automobile via a variable link by a rotating shaft output, and the motor according to a given target opening. And an encoder that detects the opening degree of the movable blade, and controls the movable blade of the passage of the intake air introduction path to a target opening degree, the position control device comprising: The motor is rotationally controlled to a stop position in the direction of closing the movable blade and a stop position in the direction of opening the movable blade, the stop position is set as an operation reference opening point of the motor, and the motor is driven between the stop positions. The operating range is controlled so that the passage of the intake air introduction passage becomes a target opening, and the rotation control of the motor changes the target opening in the opening direction of the movable blade sequentially by a predetermined opening. Te when carrying out the PID control, when a state where the opening degree position that are counted by the encoder does not change continues for a predetermined time, the position and opening direction stop position of the movable blade, the rotation control of the motor in advance when carrying out the PID control in the closing direction of the successively movable vanes each opening degree defined by changing the target opening, when the state in which opening position does not change, which is counted by the encoder continues for a predetermined time, the position When the movable blade is moved in the opening direction after moving the movable blade from the initial position to the closing direction stop position, the position control device starts from the fully closed direction stopping position. It is characterized in that the PID control is performed by changing the target opening by a predetermined opening after the movement to the initial position at once .
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the position shift of the motor of the position control apparatus using a motor can be prevented, and there exists an effect that durability of a control apparatus can be improved.
Hereinafter, the position control apparatus by motor drive according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 1 shows the configuration of an embodiment of the present invention. By pushing and pulling the blade angle in the
In addition to the
FIG. 2 shows a signal waveform from the encoder described above. The ΦA signal and the ΦB signal are 90 degrees out of phase. For example, the rotational direction of the motor can be determined by looking at the signal level of the signal ΦB (4bb) at the rising or falling of the signal ΦA (4aa), and the rotational position of the motor is detected by counting the number of pulses of the signal. It is possible.
On the other hand, when the control
Further, the
CPU(Central Processing Unit)9、I/O(Input/Output)8、A/D(Analog to Digital converter)14、RAM(Random Access Memory)15、ROM(Read Only Memory )16、不揮発性メモリ17、モータドライバ10、コミュニケーションドライバ13等から構成されている。
FIG. 3 shows an internal block diagram of the
In the case of this embodiment, the
In addition, the CPU also has a function of exchanging data (13a or 6b) with the outside via the
In this
However, since the position of the motor cannot be grasped by the control device at first, it is necessary to rotate the motor in either direction to move to a place where it does not move mechanically. In this case, since it is driven using a gear or the like, if the motor is rotated with a driving force of a certain value or more, the gear will be caught when it hits the stopper, and in some cases, it will be stuck and the maximum torque will be Even when reversed, the gear may not be able to operate due to biting. For this reason, during the initialization operation, it is necessary to set the driving force to such an extent that the aforementioned gear biting does not occur. Further, when the motor is rotated during the turbocharger and engine protection and during normal operation, it should be performed in the direction of decreasing the supply pressure on the safe side.
FIG. 4A shows the operation logic at the time of initialization. FIG. 4 (A) shows that the encoder pulse signal starts to change by rotating the motor with a constant driving force equal to or less than the motor drive DUTY A (predetermined value) where mechanical biting occurs, and then stops changing. When the timer is started (step 40b) from this state (
FIG. 4C also has the same purpose, but the motor speed is not a constant value but is started from 0, and the speed is gradually increased, and there is a mechanical resistance in the operating range. This is an effective method for dealing with a case where a portion where the operating resistance increases due to mechanical degradation occurs during repeated operation. FIG. 4D shows the state of motor drive DUTY with respect to changes in encoder pulses. If the encoder pulse does not change in
As a result, it is determined in step 41c whether or not V = C, and if V = C and the encoder pulse does not change (step 41d), then DUTY = 0 is set and initialization is terminated (
In the case of FIG. 4 (E), when the resistance portion is reached with respect to FIG. 4 (C), the motor is returned to the reverse direction once at least once, and the momentum is passed through the mechanical resistance portion. This is a more effective method. FIG. 4F shows the state of motor drive DUTY with respect to changes in encoder pulses. The figure shows a case of moving in the reverse direction (dotted line portion) by a predetermined number of pulses when there is a catch.

Next, a method for performing initialization during normal operation will be described with reference to an embodiment. After the initialization at the time of power-on of the control device is completed, the control shifts to normal control, and the motor position is controlled according to the target opening signal inputted from the outside. Since this control device is for turbo control, there is a mode in which control is hardly affected even if initialization is performed during normal control.
This may be the case when the engine is idling and the applied pressure is low, when the engine load is small, when the accelerator opening is small, or when an initialization execution command or the like is input from the outside. When the method of detecting the rotation direction and position of the motor by the encoder is used, if the noise is mixed in the encoder signal, the rotation position detection position of the motor may not be taken.
An example of this is shown in FIG. The left half shows normal rotation and the right half shows reverse rotation. FIG. 5A shows the waveform of the encoder in the normal rotation and reverse rotation in the normal case. In general, the following method is used as a method for detecting the position of a motor using an encoder. Of the encoder signal ΦA, the encoder signal ΦB at the rising edge is at the low level, and the encoder signal ΦB at the falling edge of the encoder signal ΦA is at the high level.
Similarly, when the encoder signal ΦA at the rising edge of the encoder signal ΦB is at the high level and the encoder signal ΦA at the falling edge of the encoder signal ΦB is at the low level, it is determined as normal rotation and the counter is counted up. Further, in the case of inversion, the reverse pattern is obtained, and in this case, the counter is counted down. With this logic, the position of the motor can be detected with a resolution of ¼ period of the encoder pulse.
FIG. 5B shows an example in which noise is mixed in the encoder ΦA, erroneously counted due to the rise and fall of the noise, and as a result, a positional deviation has occurred. As shown in this figure, in the method of detecting the rotational position of the motor using an encoder, if noise or the like is mixed in the encoder signal, there is a case where the detection position is misaligned and a deviation occurs. In order to prevent this misalignment, logic for determining whether the encoder signal is normal or noise may be provided. However, it takes time for the logic processing and the signal cycle of the encoder is short. In some cases, it cannot be processed.
In addition, due to this noise, in the present invention, the misalignment is canceled by performing an initialization operation during normal control other than when the power is turned on and off, on the precondition that misregistration can occur to some extent. However, it is possible to prevent the positional deviation from being accumulated.
Next, an example in which the initialization operation is performed during normal control will be described. FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing the outline, and a portion indicated by a dotted line is a case where initialization is performed during normal control. Although various conditions can be considered, the example using FIG. 7 corresponds to the case where the target opening signal is smaller than the constant value E and the change in the target opening signal continues for a certain value F or more. Normal operation when the value of the target opening signal is smaller than the low boost pressure state E that does not affect the engine and the target opening signal remains unchanged for more than F hours during normal operation Execute the initialization operation in the state.
In
In
During the initialization operation, the initialization flag is monitored periodically. If the target opening changes during the initialization operation and initialization is disabled (initialization flag is cleared,
Here, when returning to normal control, if the motor position is larger than the difference between the old position before the initialization and the target value, there is a problem that the operation will be slowed down by performing the initialization. In this case, it is necessary to increase the operation speed of the motor so that no operation delay occurs. As shown in FIG. 7B, as one proposal for realizing this, the motor operation performs PID control according to the deviation between the target position and the current position. This can be achieved by providing a proportional term for the deviation and outputting a motor drive DUTY signal corresponding to the proportional term. The motor speed can be expressed as:
Motor speed = ((target position-current position) / (target position-old position)) x (motor speed at old position))
As described above, by performing initialization during normal operation, it is possible to cancel motor position deviation due to variations in motor position accuracy and accumulation of erroneous counts. Also, since the turbocharger is directly connected to the exhaust pipe of the engine, it is always exposed to high temperature conditions, and a variable to vary the intake air amount of the turbocharger by depositing carbon etc. in the exhaust gas. The mechanical parts of the blade are easily deteriorated, and the mechanical resistance component increases in proportion to the operation time due to the deposition of carbon or the like in the exhaust gas.
Especially when the normal range of motion is narrow, carbon, etc. accumulates in the operating part other than the normal range of motion, so the resistance when operating this part increases, and it can be operated in areas other than the worst normal range. It will disappear. When this is repeated, the operation movable range of the motor gradually becomes smaller, and the operation movable range becomes smaller in proportion to the operation time. As a result, the durability deterioration becomes remarkably large.
This is shown in FIG. If initialization is not performed, durability deterioration progresses as shown by the dotted line for the above reasons, but by performing initialization frequently and operating uniformly over the entire movable range, it is possible to prevent durability deterioration There is. Therefore, initialization should also be performed in order to reduce the operating resistance of the machine part. By performing initialization, the increase in resistance of the machine part can be prevented, the durability of the machine part can be improved, and the drive motor can be reduced. Since the burden is reduced, the durability of the motor can be improved.
FIG. 9 shows a method in which initialization is performed both fully closed and fully open. In this embodiment, the motor is moved from the initial position when the power is turned on in the fully closed direction, reaches the fully closed position, and the state where the encoder count value remains unchanged at A continues for the time T1. Judged as the fully closed position.
After that, when the state in which the encoder count value remains unchanged at B by operating in the fully open direction, which is the opposite direction, continues for the time T2, it is determined as the fully open position. Since the difference between the counter B and the counter A is the dynamic range C between the fully closed position and the fully opened position, when the value of the dynamic range C is abnormally small as a result of initialization, there is a mechanical failure within the operating range. It can be seen that there is a possibility that is generated locally. In addition, there is also an effect that it is possible to perform a failure diagnosis such that when it is abnormally large, it is considered that the stopper does not work or that the motor is idling due to gear breakage or the like.
In this embodiment, the full-close and full-open operations are performed at the same timing, but it is not necessary to perform the full-close and full-open operations at the same time. The same effect can be obtained even by performing a combination of operations such as causing the operation on the full opening side to be performed at the permitted timing, or performing the operation in the opposite manner.
FIG. 10 shows an example of the case where there is a part that is difficult to operate partially due to the generation of the mechanical resistance part during the above-described full-closed and full-closed operations, but once the encoder pulse stops changing. However, the location may not be the mechanical stopper position. For this reason, in this embodiment, by returning to the fully closed direction by a predetermined count once and operating again in the fully open direction, this part (mechanical resistance portion) is passed through in several retries. In many cases, it can be passed.
FIG. 11 is similar to (B) of FIG. 7, when the opening command value is input even during the fully-closed and fully-opened operation, the operation is immediately stopped and the operation to the target opening position is performed. In this example, the normal operation time is not set. In this embodiment, the normal PID control is carried out after detecting the fully closed position and the fully opened position by operating the motor driving force at the fully closed and fully opened operation at a constant value. Due to the existence of the problem, there are the following problems.
In the case of normal PID control, when the target opening is fully closed or fully opened, an operation of decelerating so as to reduce the amount of movement is performed so as not to go too far when approaching the target value. For this reason, the motor is not pushed in until the mechanical twist in the fully open position and the fully closed position occurs, but at the time of initialization, it tries to push with a constant driving force. It pushes in as much as possible. At this time, it may appear to be less than the count value of the normal fully closed position or larger than the count value of the normal fully open position.
This can be eliminated by lowering the initialization motor drive force, but on the other hand, if the mechanical resistance during initialization increases, the motor will stop immediately, so the fully open and fully closed positions are erroneously detected during initialization. There is a possibility to do. Therefore, the motor driving force at the time of initialization needs to be increased as much as possible.
In the above-described method, as shown in FIG. 12, the fully closed and fully opened positions at the time of initialization and the operation range that can be moved by PID control are different. Therefore, if the fully closed and fully opened positions obtained by the initialization are set as target positions and the target position is moved by PID control, the target position may be reached and the motor may be kept energized. .
If this state continues, the time during which the motor is energized increases, and there is a problem that the heat generation of the motor and motor driver increases. A method for preventing the difference between the fully closed and fully opened position at the time of initialization and the fully closed and fully opened position at the normal operation is shown in FIGS. 13 to 15, and the control flow at this time is shown in FIG. 17 shows.
FIG. 13 shows a state in which the motor is moved to a fully closed and fully opened position with a constant motor driving force and then returned by a predetermined amount (value β in FIG. 13), and the first fully closed and fully opened positions are set as targets again from the returned position. The point where the motor position does not change for a predetermined time after being operated by PID control is set as a true fully closed position, and correction for the biting in of the gear is performed. In PID control, control is performed by sequentially giving small target values as shown in the figure, so that the fully closed position can be obtained without biting into the gear.
Details of this control will be described with reference to FIG. In the initialization, the motor drive duty is increased from 0% in the fully closed or fully opened direction. In
Here, the control is performed by the motor drive DUTY, but the same applies even if the rotation speed of the motor is calculated instead of the drive DUTY so as to obtain a constant speed (FIG. 13 shows the case of the constant speed). ). C% drive DUTY is a state in which when the motor moves to the fully closed position or the fully open position, no biting occurs in the machine due to inertia and the upper limit drive DUTY is operated, and the encoder pulse does not change. When this continues for a very short time (α 0 ), this position is set as a temporary fully closed position, and the counter is reset.
Thereafter, the motor position is set to DUTY 100% and the value β is returned by a predetermined amount (
In this state, the state where the encoder pulse does not change continues for a predetermined time α is set as a true fully closed position, and the encoder counter is reset again. Although the fully closed position is determined by this operation, after this operation, the same operation can be performed in the fully open direction to obtain the fully open position. This initialization need not be performed at the same time, and only one of them may be performed when the initialization operation is permitted. FIG. 13 shows an example in which the position is moved to the fully open side at a constant speed to obtain the fully open position.
Start from drive DUTY = 0. Steps 63a to 63m correspond to
FIG. 14 shows an example in which the initialization operation is performed by PID control from the beginning. Since the PID control is control performed by determining the target position, the absolute position is not known in the initial state when the power is turned on. Therefore, the target opening is changed by a predetermined amount with respect to the current position and moved to the target position by PID control. Is. Of course, if the change of the predetermined amount is increased (for example, in a state where DUTY is 100%), after reaching the fully closed and fully opened positions, there is a possibility that biting occurs and it is impossible to escape from there. Therefore, the target position is changed little by little, and after the motor has moved to the target position, the operation is further changed little by little to gradually move to the fully closed position.
FIG. 14 shows a case where, for example, a small target amount value β1 having a predetermined target position is repeatedly set and operated. In the fully closed position, the setting of the value β1 was repeated, but the actual position has not changed. If the time continues for a preset time T = α1, the position is set as a fully closed position. The same applies to the fully open position. When the target value is changed by the value β1 and moved to the previous position, and the time T = α1 at which the position does not change even if the target value β1 is changed, the position is the front open position. It is judged that there is.
This operation flow is shown in FIG. In this method, a minute operation to the target position is repeatedly performed. In
When it is determined in
Step 70i in FIG. 17A shows an example in which the initialization is performed by the same method as that for determining the fully closed position. That is, it is started as C = Count max (1) as in
When it is determined in
However, in this case, when the operation in the fully closed side and the fully opened direction is performed, the time required for initialization may be longer than in the case of FIG. A method for improving this is shown in FIG.
In FIG. 15, the position is moved from the initial position to the fully closed direction, and it is confirmed that there is no change even if the target value is changed by a predetermined value β2, and the fully closed position is set. Thereafter, when the operation in the fully open direction is performed simultaneously, the operation up to the initial position is moved from the fully closed position all at once, and thereafter, the target value is changed by a predetermined value β2 and PID control is performed. . Then, in the fully open position, it is confirmed that there is no change even if the predetermined value β2 is changed, and that position is set as the fully open position. By controlling in this way, the time required for initialization between fully closed and fully open can be shortened.
This control flow is shown in FIG. In
Next, in
In step 72n, when the timer T satisfies the condition of T ≧ α2, the counter position is determined as a fully open position in step 72p (Count max 2). In this method, as shown in
Next, the backup RAM in the CPU is always energized, and the motor position at the time when the power supply to the control circuit is shut off is stored in the backup RAM so as to shorten the initialization time. It is. Next, a description will be given of a method that can reduce the time required for initialization or prevent initialization when the power is turned on.
This embodiment is shown in FIG.
The
The
The power supply VCC to the control circuit is cut off at the rising edge of the control signal 18a output from the
With this circuit configuration, the following improvements can be achieved with respect to the conventional control circuit.
(1) The power supply of the backup RAM is energized while the battery is connected. From the fully-closed position to the fully-open position, which can be understood by performing the motor position, the fully-closed operation, and the fully-opened operation as a result of initialization. It is possible to grasp the change of the operable range of the diagnosis result and the operable range of the diagnosis result. Therefore, the deterioration of the turbo actuator can be diagnosed.
(2) Abolition of initialization operation when IGN is ON With regard to (1), it is possible to obtain the same effect by mounting a non-volatile memory in the control circuit as shown in this embodiment. However, mounting a non-volatile memory leads to an increase in the part cost, and it becomes difficult to mount the part. In (2) above, if initialization is performed when IGN is ON, the actuator will stop operating due to battery voltage drop if the starter rotates during initialization, and depending on the angle when the variable intake valve stops, engine startability may be reduced. There is a possibility of adverse effects.
Also, depending on the driver, the IGN may be turned on with the accelerator depressed, and then the starter may be turned immediately. If initialization is performed immediately after the engine is started, if the initialization is performed in the fully closed direction, the fully closed position In this case, the engine speed may increase rapidly. In particular, in a cold region, there is a possibility that the turbocharger may be damaged when the engine starts and the rotational speed rapidly rises before the lubricating oil of the turbocharger bearing is not fully rotated.
For the above reasons, initialization at the time of IGN ON, especially the initialization operation in the fully closed direction, is not a preferable operation for the engine. For this reason, due to the effects (1) and (2), it is possible to prevent the initialization when the IGN is ON, particularly the initialization operation on the fully closed side. FIG. 18B shows the initialization timing when IGN is ON and OFF.
FIG. 19 shows a case where necessary information is exchanged via the
In this configuration, the function of controlling the power supply of the control circuit by the IGN signal, the battery voltage VB, and the control signal 18a shown in the embodiment of FIG. 18 is unnecessary, and it is not necessary to provide a nonvolatile memory inside the control circuit. Since an equivalent effect can be obtained, the circuit configuration can be simplified, which is advantageous in terms of component cost.
FIG. 20 shows a flow chart that is a guideline that requires the initialization process in accordance with the result of taking the operating state into the CPU. In
Further, in the motor position control device that controls the opening degree of the intake air introduction path of the turbocharger to a desired opening degree, the operation to the mechanical fully open position and the fully closed position in the motor operation range is performed during normal control. Thus, there is an effect of preventing the occurrence of mechanical sticking due to the mechanical resistance due to an increase in mechanical and thermal history frictional force, which becomes so large that the motor cannot be moved.
